Don't believe the negative reviews, these are incredible, and I'll prove it

They plug your ears, not just sit inside them like other types of earbuds, and they certainly don't sit in top of your head like two small cans of cat food. They are elegant, minimal, and wonderful. No other headphones come close to blocking outside sound, letting your music gloriously play in your ear as it was meant to be enjoyed. Screaming baby in seat 34F? No problem, pop these in, and you'll enjoy several dB of noise reduction instantly. You don't even need to put on the music. Horns, taxis, sirens, or just noisy spouse asking why you're a bum? No problem, put these on, and you won't hear a thing. Because they block outside sound, they leave your ears with nothing but the joyous music you desire. It arrives clear and booming (if you're into bass) because its airtight in your ear canal the entire inner ear is used as a bass chamber. It's a shame because people don't fit them correctly. Apple generously gives you several sizes to fit. But no consumer product can have every size needed, so they might just not work for you. But if you do get them sized correctly, you will absolutely be amazed at the sound quality. I really hope Apple releases a Lightning cable version of these soon!

      Don't recommend them

I have been a fan of any apple products but this one really disappointed me. I've had 2 pairs so far because the audio would do its own thing. The left side wou I have been a fan of any apple products but this one really disappointed me. I've had 2 pairs so far because the audio would do its own thing. The left side would go out and I wouldn't know what to do and then magically it started to work again. I will say that they feel amazing and the sound is great (sometimes) but if you put the ear bud in your ear to far the audio will sound a little weird so you have to be gentle with putting them in. Can't just pop them in and go. Sad that this was my first time buying a bad apple product :(

Tinny sound and an overall disappointment

Wow - I have to say that I am deeply disappointed with the quality of the sound from these headphones. I really expected something better given that I find the Wow - I have to say that I am deeply disappointed with the quality of the sound from these headphones. I really expected something better given that I find the standard headphones to be ok. Tinny, lacking bass and clarity and in fact, just lacking on every critical dimension. And for 3x the price for the standard headphones (welcome to prices in Europe!) I wanted something superior. Instead, I got something inferior.

      deeply disappointed

I used the previous version of the headphones and was very happy with the quality but they did not hold very well in the ear especially when doing sports. There I used the previous version of the headphones and was very happy with the quality but they did not hold very well in the ear especially when doing sports. Therefore I put these in-ear headphones onto my wishlist and I got them as present. They sit very well in the ear. Wearing them is cofortable also in bed laying on one ear. They do not fall out of the ear doing sports. Unfortunately the sound quality is horrible. For a phone call they are fine but listening to music or watching a movie with them is really no fun. Sometimes I have the feeling that I am sitting in a tin. I am very disappointed. I am also disappointed with the quality of other recent Apple products, but this is a different story.

      Very Disappointed

I had read varying reviews of these and really needed some headphones that would work my phone. I have a pair that have a microphone/pause button attached but I I had read varying reviews of these and really needed some headphones that would work my phone. I have a pair that have a microphone/pause button attached but I can't skip songs unless I pull out my phone and do it manually on the screen. When I ordered these, I loved how comfortable they were and how good the sound was. They also did a good job of isolating outside noises. I've barely used them since I got them, though. After a week of using them maybe once a day for a bit of music during chores, the right side earbud stopped working. I cleaned it and replaced the mesh cap with the replacements provided, and that seemed to fix the problem, but less than a week after that, the same problem happened again. I replaced the cap again (since I still had a spare leftover) but it didn't do anything. All that comes out now is a little bit of crackling or static if I move the cord around to see if it helps. I've had these for less than two months and am extremely disappointed with them. I can't believe Apple is charging so much for such poor quality earbuds. The pair I bought from Walmart that don't let me skip songs still work better than these and I've had them for almost two YEARS, and they only cost me $12. Lesson learned, I suppose.
