    Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content.       Does everything great except click and drag!

      As long as you never use click and drag this device is pretty cool. Unfortunately, I do quite a bit -- and each time I press to 'click and drag'; the file As long as you never use click and drag this device is pretty cool. Unfortunately, I do quite a bit -- and each time I press to 'click and drag'; the file opens, or previews, or gives me a definition, etc. Click too light, nothing happens. Click too hard, it does everything but pick up what I'm selecting to drag. I have to keep my magic mouse next to my new trackpad just for clicking and dragging. Great concept -- not executed to the "it just works" Apple standard.

      Incredibly frustrating to use

      I have used dozens of pointing devices in the last 30 years and have never had as many problems as with this one. Random clicks happen all the time and half the I have used dozens of pointing devices in the last 30 years and have never had as many problems as with this one. Random clicks happen all the time and half the time instead of a regular click or worse a double click it registers a right click. Scrolling with 2 fingers sometimes causes it to think I am using 3 fingers which it then takes several seconds to recover from. And as for force clicking, previewing is almost never what I want to do. After about 5 minutes of it popping up unexpectedly I disabled it (I find force touch a little frustrating on my iPhone 6s+ too but I got used to it). I hate to sound so negative but the whole reason I use Apple products is for the ease of use factor and this trackpad significantly interferes with my ability to get things done.

      Bummed... really wanted it to work

      Paired with a late model 2013 MBP. The sensitivity of did not match the trackpad on the laptop so when I sped up the scroll, it was ok on this trackpad but the Paired with a late model 2013 MBP. The sensitivity of did not match the trackpad on the laptop so when I sped up the scroll, it was ok on this trackpad but the trackpad on my laptop was blazing fast. Multifinger gestures didn't work (no scrolling, no three / four finger swipe) and the click wasn't nearly as responsive. I'd like to have it work, but after fiddling with it for an hour, I'm returning and reverting back to my normal 2-AA battery trackpad.

      Fine piece of hardware

      I just brought this thing home and tried it out, needless to say it didn't disappoint. I write a lot of music and this is perfect for me. I'm already familiar with how to use advanced trackpads thanks to the 2008 macbook I bought years ago. I don't know why people hate it, unless it was damaged by the buyer or faulty to begin with I don't understand how people could hate this device. Very intuitive actions, it's a definite yes from me.

      I'm about to buy my third magic trackpad in 3 years

      the worst. seriously, I'm on my third one since 2015. They just stop working and take on a life off their own. it starts grabbing files and randomly copying the worst. seriously, I'm on my third one since 2015. They just stop working and take on a life off their own. it starts grabbing files and randomly copying files. it clicks on links all by itself ... just randomly. it's a nightmare---the worst apple product ever and I've been around a while. don't do it.

      Magic Trackpad is vital to mac mini.

      My Mac-mini works far better with this trackpad than without it. The price is high and the battery life dies in less than a month, but many features of the mac My Mac-mini works far better with this trackpad than without it. The price is high and the battery life dies in less than a month, but many features of the mac operating system just don't work very well without this. I got a mac mini because iMac just blows chunks. No adjustable height is just one of the problems.
