  • Overview

Crafted from the same 316L stainless steel alloy as the case, the Link Bracelet has more than 100 components. The machining process is so precise, it takes nearly nine hours to cut the links for a single band. The custom butterfly closure folds neatly within the bracelet. And several links feature a simple release button, so you can add and remove links without any special tools. An additional diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer gives the space black stainless steel its distinctive finish.

      Finish failure

I really enjoyed the look, precision and finish. Most especially, the compliments! This was my daily wear watch as I am fully integrated with Apple products. Th I really enjoyed the look, precision and finish. Most especially, the compliments! This was my daily wear watch as I am fully integrated with Apple products. That said, I was extremely disappointed when I noticed silver peaking through the finish at the typical wear points within 3 months of purchase. After 6 months, full stainless visibility at the wear points resulted in great disappointment with the product, considering the investment.

Please do not waste your money on this absolutely beautiful band

Why the negative review? Simple! While the band is a work of art, the finish wears off very easily and once worn off you will not want to wear the band. When Why the negative review? Simple! While the band is a work of art, the finish wears off very easily and once worn off you will not want to wear the band. When I bought my Apple Watch, I specifically asked the salesperson if the finish was applied or was the metal black thru and thru? I was assured it was not a finish but rather the metal. I took his advice and walked out with the Series I watch. 90 days later the finish was beginning to wear around the buckle. 120 days in and the finish was gone. I took the watch back and complained as was told the finish was not guaranteed and it was abuse that caused the problem. Frankly I was very disappointed considering what I paid for the watch (new adopter). The manager of the Apple store felt somewhat guilty and gave me a new band as a courtesy. I put in on walked out and enjoyed the new one for exactly 120 days and the same thing happened again. Best plan would be to leave it in the box and only look at it. Great design but not high quality. Please do not waste your money on the amazingly beautiful band. You will be sorry!!

I really wanted to like this band.

I typically prefer steel bracelets on my daily wear watches, and if you have ever worn a decent quality steel bracelet you will instantly know how terrible this band is. The Good: It's attractive, it's well machined, and simple to adjust. The Bad: It's unwearable, the edges are way to sharp, it digs and abrades the skin, the links pinch even the finest of hairs. What were you thinking Apple? Did anyone on your testing staff wear this for more than 10 minutes?

      Amazing

The build of this band is phenomenal. Some say it isn't worth it because the finish wears easily but I find the look as an antique distressed look. Amazing locking mechanism and feels great on wrist.

      Great band - Looks great

I bought this band on my original Watch (Series 0) several years ago. When I got my Series 4 a few months ago naturally I put this band on my new Watch. After I bought this band on my original Watch (Series 0) several years ago. When I got my Series 4 a few months ago naturally I put this band on my new Watch. After all of this time, wearing the Watch daily, I do not see any evidence of scratches or scuffing. Based on my experience I am at a loss to understand the reviews that have problems with the band. While it is more expensive than other bands I do not think it is over priced. I believe you get what you pay for.
