Don't listen to the haters....This is a fantastic "keyboard"

Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, the Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, there may be some functionality glitches, but again, so what. This Smart "KEYBOARD" for iPad Pro rocks. Apple only promised us a keyboard, and that's what this is. The whiners probably shake their birthday cards for money before they read them, so sad. This is by far the best peripheral keyboard I've ever used in terms of feel and accuracy. Oh, and the feel/look of the materials/design is far from cheap, as mentioned in some other reviews. They nailed it, AGAIN!! Thanks Apple. Bottom Line - Drop the coin and don't look back. This keyboard will transform your iPad Pro into a monster of mayhem.(in a good way). Cheers!!

After 35 years of computing, my favorite keyboard of all time.

I make virtually no typing errors on it, and it's proximity to the display makes the combination of a keyboard and the touch screen really work. With my other iPads, I used several aftermarket keyboards and typically abandoned them in a short time. I love this one, and hope that the shortcomings will be resolved soon in software.

      Best keyboard experience

The keyboard might seem a bit on the higher end when it comes to the price, but then it is a pleasure to use. Based on my past experience with Logitech keyboard The keyboard might seem a bit on the higher end when it comes to the price, but then it is a pleasure to use. Based on my past experience with Logitech keyboards, I was a bit sceptical in using a keyboard at first but so far have not been disappointed. The quality is excellent, the keyboard works and integrates well with the iPadPro. Some people might want a trackpad - but given it is an iPad, you really do not need any. I recommend to get an Apple Pencil as well.

Usability not so good especially for a lefty (left handed that is)

First probelm i had was that when attached, the keyboard has the ipad home key on the right. I have always used ipads with the home key to the left. Nothing to First probelm i had was that when attached, the keyboard has the ipad home key on the right. I have always used ipads with the home key to the left. Nothing to be done. Next, if im using a keyboard, i don’t want to have to go to the touch screen to navigate. The keyboard has limited navigation, but when you’re on a screen full of icons, for instance, the direction keys dont let you move from icon to icon. So you have to get off the keyboard and then back on. If you highlight an icon, the enter key ought to select it as if you clicked on it. Nope. I dont like that. I am returning mine. The keyboard itself is knd of cramped even though jit doesnt have the full complement of keys. I didnt like typing with it. I suggest you study the keyboard layout before you buy.

      Works Just Fine

I’ve had this keyboard for almost two years and got it when I got my iPad Pro. It works perfectly fine and I’ve never had issues with it. I’m a college student I’ve had this keyboard for almost two years and got it when I got my iPad Pro. It works perfectly fine and I’ve never had issues with it. I’m a college student and write all my papers and take all my notes on my iPad using the keyboard and it still works like when I got it, not sure why a lot of people are complaining I’ve never had any of these issues. Pushing on the keys has a nice feel only thing is that it can get dirty but wiping it with some electronic spray cleans it up. Saw bad reviews for the Apple Pencil which I wanted but saw even worse reviews for the keyboard, I enjoy my keyboard so I will probably still be buying the pencil.

Great when works / Frustrating when does not

However, since upgrading to both iPad 12.9 Gen 2 and new keyboard - I’ve been cursed with constant connectivity issues like many of the other reviewers. Very inconsistent to get the initial connection to occur - and sometimes looses connection when initiating typing. Apple Store support has been extremely responsive - and has replaced both my iPad Pro 2 and 2 different keyboards to attempt to fix the intermittent connectivity. However, in the end - they admitted that the issue is severe and systemic - and that they had no solution. They took some video to send to Apple QC - and told me that maybe there can be a SoftWear fix eventually. All of the new keyboards they tried — either with my iPad or theirs — were very inconsistent to connect and stay connected. Ironically, they had an on-floor older keyboard which worked flawlessly - so perhaps it’s related to either product variation in manufacturing or there was a design revision which has resulted in the inconsistent behavior.
