      Never buy an Apple charger.

These cords are nowhere near worth the money Apple asks for. One may think that if you go to the company that makes your phone to get your charger you are going to get the best product. This is wrong when it come to an iPhone charger. For 30 dollars you get 3 good months, maybe, before the smaller end of the cord twist, expose the wires and ultimately break the cord. This is my third charger in the part 18 months and I am not dealing with this cycle anymore. I will look for a cheaper charger with better quality somewhere else. I would recommend you do as well.

After a year of weekdays usage of this calbe at my work desk , daily charge, the power charge still works but the rubber cover near the lightning connector (1 cm) seems tear off the near end of 2m thin rubber wrap. After the external rubber wrap tear off, the inner power cords are exposed. i think it is a bad quality of the material used for the 2m long rubber wrap.

I purchased this cable and power adapter because I have an iPad Pro 12" which charges substantially faster from the USB-C cable than a typical lightning charger. I chose the 2m cable so I could have my phone or iPad plugged in to charge while sitting in bed. The cable doesn't show any signs of strain, though I make a point to avoid twisting the end around too much.

The first one we purchased broke with very light use -- the piece that connects into the iPhone just came out of the cord. The second one we purchased stopped working after a week. I work from home, do everything via conference calls, and am 37 weeks pregnant, so not having a charged phone is not an option. Instead of making it easy to facilitate a replacement, Apple requires you to ship the item back to them before they will issue a refund for replacement -- meaning the whole process takes over a week to complete, leaving you without a working charger the entire time. Unacceptable. If you are are going to create products that are so essential to people's safety and well-being, you need to have better systems in place to ensure they work properly or can be replaced easily/quickly.

$35 cable that only lasted 6 months

The worst part of the cable breaking is that the cable didn't even tear on the outside, it just stopped working. About to go see if warranty will cover this. Bu The worst part of the cable breaking is that the cable didn't even tear on the outside, it just stopped working. About to go see if warranty will cover this. But still a let down regardless. Otherwise, excellent cable. The speed at which it could charge your Iphone was seriously impressive. Just a shame that it's not immune to breaking easily like the rest of Apples cables.

Cable too long to be convenient and manageable ( but the shorter option of 18 in is waaaay too short). Doesn't wind up, too stiff to be compact. I'm just so disappointed. To think I had to pay $19 to purchase a cable to go with an extra charger that's also a piece of junk. What gives, Apple. With a trillion net worth one would think you'd want to improve and enhance your reputation not cut it to the bone.
