      Never buy an Apple charger.

One may think that if you go to the company that makes your phone to get your charger you are going to get the best product. This is wrong when it come to an iPhone charger. For 30 dollars you get 3 good months, maybe, before the smaller end of the cord twist, expose the wires and ultimately break the cord. This is my third charger in the part 18 months and I am not dealing with this cycle anymore. I will look for a cheaper charger with better quality somewhere else. I would recommend you do as well.

After a year of weekdays usage of this calbe at my work desk , daily charge, the power charge still works but the rubber cover near the lightning connector (1 cm) seems tear off the near end of 2m thin rubber wrap. After the external rubber wrap tear off, the inner power cords are exposed. i think it is a bad quality of the material used for the 2m long rubber wrap.

I purchased this cable and power adapter because I have an iPad Pro 12" which charges substantially faster from the USB-C cable than a typical lightning charger. I chose the 2m cable so I could have my phone or iPad plugged in to charge while sitting in bed. The cable doesn't show any signs of strain, though I make a point to avoid twisting the end around too much.

They never last, always get a "this device is not supported" message, a green color around the tip of the charger and they are way too short. Apple, stop being cheap and fix these problems! We pay enough money for the iPhone and we deserve accessories that work and last. After all, we are paying for them.

Works greak a few months and fails

Works great a few months and fails at the cable to lightning connector interface. The have been having this same issue for years with all Apple lightning cables. They need to beef up thier cables with strain relief at the connectors. There are better generic alternatives for usb to lightning cables that I buy. Not sure about usc-c to lightning (these are still kinda new).

There are only 2 issues for me. One is that it's kind of pricey for a 2 meter cable. I see a lot of people saying they can get 3 for the same price from others, but I would still trust Apple and get their product for safety. The second kind of issue is the quality. To be honest, I've seen people use their lightning cables. They just put the end on a hard surface, while browsing on their phone, which obviously is going to rip the rubber. Be realistic, if you just put your phone to charge on the desk, or maybe use in your hand without rotating and playing with the rubber around the end, nothing's going to happen realistically. Still, they have to work on their cables to make it more resistant.
