      Apple missed it

Tested it exact same range as powerbeats 2. So increased range nope. Easier pairing? Apple gimmick, the only thing different really is a splash screen to pair. Connection reliability, well I never had connection problems with my powerbeats 2. Now the most irritating part, the sound. Powerbeats 2 are louder and have a more rich sound which is definitely noticeable compared to the powerbeats 3. So if you are needing the claimed 12hrs of battery life get them if not and 6hrs is more than enough then find the powerbeats 2 on clearance and save some $. I'm returning these powerbeats 3 first thing in the morning and grabbing a new pair of powerbeats 2 on clearance. For the money I expect more from beats/apple. This is from an apple lover and am thoroughly disappointed in the powerbeats 3.

PowerBeats ARE NOT Good For Workouts

If you sweat a lot during workouts, the sweat gets into the inline microphone/controller, and it stops working. Apple went as far as to tell a few people 'they sweat too much', and that Powerbeats are not 'waterproof'. I've exchanged my Powerbeats3 four times at Best Buy. I thought I was getting defective headphones - until I did some research and found feedback from other people that were having the same issues. Not only does the controller stop working, the tracks skip on their own, the music pauses on its own - and randomly starts playing again, the volume increases/decreases on its own. It's a nightmare of an experience when you're trying to workout. I love Beats products (I own wireless Studios, wireless Solos, and two Pills), but they need to do more R&D on the Powerbeats3. They need to make the inline controller/microphone truly water resistant to withstand all levels of sweating. When/If they can get it right, I'll definitely purchase them again. I love the fit, feel & sound.

I used to use cord headphones and will never go back to corded ones after these. They sound good and when i see the red light on them turn on or see the battery in the upper right corner of my phone show the bluetooth device battery getting low I charge them overnight. Everything these days takes a charge somewhere within a week with heavy use. Just designate a charging station in the house and all your devices will be good to go at all times, including these.

      Very disappointed :(

I went through 3 exchanges and finally decided to return my powerbeats3 today. VERY sad and disappointed. I was very excited about these when I bought them 4 we I went through 3 exchanges and finally decided to return my powerbeats3 today. VERY sad and disappointed. I was very excited about these when I bought them 4 weeks ago, no cord, no muss...awesome! At first they were fine, then two days after the volume button started to not work, wouldn't pause a song, forward, nothing. So I exchanged that set that same week for a new set (another black pair), and that pair crapped out during a run which I really needed them for. The songs started fast forwarding by themselves, music was cackling in and out and wouldn't shut off or stop, and then they just died. Wouldn't charge, wouldn't turn back on nothing within a few days after getting them. So I exchanged those for a white pair this time, thinking maybe I'd have better luck with white... nope. Used the white pair for running again yesterday they were fine, then all of a sudden the music started to cackle in and out, fast forward and the control wouldn't work, then they just shut off. Won't charge, won't turn back on, nothing. What the??? Went to exchange them again yesterday for a new set (went back to black), and that pair was busted out of the box!!!! The volume control was all loose and not put together properly, so I went to exchange again today but the only pair that store had left, seemed to appear used out of the box. No thanks. Just decided to get a full refund at this point and call it a day. Really disappointed, they clearly are NOT sweat proof, and really poor quality. For $260 bucks, you expect them to be what they say they are going to be... Apple, terrible business. Do not buy these, they are a sweet when they work on their 12 hour charge, but that's all they work for....is 12 hours.

      Absolute Nightmare

I got a pair of these in my stocking last Christmas. I'm a mid 20s man and run quite often but had never given wireless headphones a second thought as the stock I got a pair of these in my stocking last Christmas. I'm a mid 20s man and run quite often but had never given wireless headphones a second thought as the stock iPhone buds got the job done, so my first thought was that they were flashy and a good thought but I'll take the $220 instead. Pop is sitting me next to me smiling from ear to ear, and tells me that the customer watching the purchase said he was going to be a Christmas hero. So I tried them, and my hands are down, they're the best sounding, fitting, earphones on earth.. when they work. The problem is they don't work!! 12 hour battery life means 12 hour life. I've been through 5 or 6 sets of these, that's >$1100 with tax in TN. I can't count the hours I've spent on returns, repairs, refunds, complaints over the last 5 months, It's an absolute nightmare. Apple should be ashamed of themselves as they own beats - there should be a class action filed. People shouldn't have to endure this when paying this kind of money. Imagine running 3.5 miles away from where you started and then fully charged $220 headphones quit, then having having to find 3 hours of personal time to schedule a Genius Bar appointment, drive, wait a week for repair, drive back, ect. then it happening again. and again, and again!! And it interrupts a good workout routine having to do that let me tell you. Hard enough to start a good habit. It's truly pathetic. Maybe the worst thing about this is, Apple had to have known but released the product anyways. And if they didn't guess they didn't do their due diligence before releasing the most expensive pair of headphones on the market. Apple should really be ashamed of themselves for this!
