      Underwhelming

I really want to love USB-C -- it's such a versatile connector, truly a technical marvel -- but it's shameful that this cable only supports USB 2.0 data speeds I really want to love USB-C -- it's such a versatile connector, truly a technical marvel -- but it's shameful that this cable only supports USB 2.0 data speeds and that it's not included with the purchase of a USB-C charger.

      Not your typical USB-C cable

Transfers data slowly and doesn't support video.

      Solid Cable

This cable is solid. They redid the jacket of the cable so I suspect we will see a lot less pealing and fraying like old mag safe. The cable supports USB device This cable is solid. They redid the jacket of the cable so I suspect we will see a lot less pealing and fraying like old mag safe. The cable supports USB device and 100 Watt USB-C PD. This is huge for a 20 dollar cable. This cable is one of the few things apple priced lower than the value it delivers. The cable is also already the max length supported by USB-C PD.

My husband has a C charge cable he bought for $10 on another website that has saved me. I have been using the alternative cable that is MUCH BETTER than this ORIGINAL c r a p .

      Flimsier & Flimsier

I've had the same charging cord for my 2015 Macbook Pro for FIVE YEARS. Then comes the 2019 Macbook Pro model I use for work. I've gone through 2 USB-C Charge Cables in 2 months! They bend & snap more than Reese in Legally Blond!! Apple used to be synonymous with quality, now when I hear Apple I honestly think of pretty, but cheap & sub-par. MAKE CHARGERS MAGNETIZED! Or at least reinforce the plastic around the connector. I work on the go, not only at my desk and shouldn't be buying charging cables every other month because every time I work out of a new space, my charger breaks.

      Absolute Garbage

These stick out perpendicular to the computer -so if you read sideways in bed they will crimp and fail. I also sit cross legged and work on my computer and again that stresses the cable. Even with awareness of their vulnerability I still can't manage to keep these in good shape. They turn yellow around the joint and fail after about 3 months. Honestly, Apple should be embarrassed about the design of these. Except, I can't help but think this is a case of the razor blades vs the razor, surely they must know. This must be away to make money. Otherwise how do you explain the bad design when they are so Design Proud? The brick charger is even more of a joke come to think of it.
