Apple Remote with iPod and iPhone

If you connect your iPod to a home stereo, powered speakers, or TV set, the Apple Remote lets you experience your songs, slideshows, and more from across the room. Plug your iPod into the Apple Universal Dock and choose a playlist, slideshow, or video. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy. Ready to move on to the next song? No need to get up. Just press the Next button on the Apple Remote. Getting a call on your iPhone? Press Pause, then pick up where you left off.

    Apple Remote with Mac

The Apple Remote gives you total command of your music, photos, videos, and DVDs from anywhere in the room. Turn up the volume. Shuffle. Skip to the next chapter on your DVD. Play a slideshow, a home movie you made in iMovie, even a movie trailer.

Keep in mind, Apple TV can only connect to one remote at a time. If you wish to play multiple player games, you’ll need an iOS device or controller.

Way too small for anyone to try and keep track of. If I could add up the hours of my life I've spent looking for it in the couch cushions, I could have solved several world problems. I can't wait til the next new technology makes my Apple TV and its devil child spawn remote obsolete. I'm going to destroy this stupid thing...if I can find it. For now I'll just buy a new one to replace the one that's currently AWOL. So annoyed.....

      Apple TV Remote

I have four Apple remotes for my apple tv's and three of the four Apple remotes have failed when trying to use the up button on the remote. Three of my Apple T I have four Apple remotes for my apple tv's and three of the four Apple remotes have failed when trying to use the up button on the remote. Three of my Apple TV remotes up button stopped working. I will be taking them back to the store this morning and hopefully Apple will provide me with three new Apple TV remotes. The fact that 3 of my 4 Apple TV remotes up button doesn't work tells me it is an Apple design flaw or the batch of Apple TV remotes I received shouldn't have passed quality control.

The right/forward button has never worked properly since the day we opened the box. Finally after a year of sticky/intermittent functioning of that button we pried the thing apart (another annoying thing about Apple is they make all their products impossible to get into and fix). We discovered some sort of sticky glue over top of a button that wasn't seated correctly that could not be repaired. While I understand that manufacturing glitches happen, that is not my only issue with this remote. Like another user stated -- by removing all the buttons to have the "coolest" looking remote on the market, Apple has given us a remote that is a headache to use. Constant scrolling, tedious, takes too much time. Yes, our regular TV and video remotes and Comcast remotes are hugely clunky by comparison, but they aren't nearly as annoying to use.

Horribly designed remote for a family

I HATE this remote. It is the worst design of any remote EVERY. While it is sleek and elegant, it is completely non functional in every day life. In a home w I HATE this remote. It is the worst design of any remote EVERY. While it is sleek and elegant, it is completely non functional in every day life. In a home with 3 kids we are ALWAYS LOOSING this remote. I wish it could fit into something 5 times the size that was bright orange so we could find it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE redesign this remote. Or at least offer an option of something brightly colored and more bulky.

It’s like trying to hold a wet goldfish

Too small. Too slippery. Too sensitive. Too hard to scroll back and forward accurately. I sometimes feel just looking at it makes it do things. My mum (who is 8 Too small. Too slippery.
