    Wireless. Effortless. Magical.

AirPods will forever change the way you use headphones. Whenever you pull your AirPods out of the charging case, they instantly turn on and connect to your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.(1) Audio automatically plays as soon as you put them in your ears and pauses when you take them out. To adjust the volume, change the song, make a call, or even get directions, just double-tap to activate Siri.

Driven by the custom Apple W1 chip, AirPods use optical sensors and a motion accelerometer to detect when they’re in your ears. Whether you’re using both AirPods or just one, the W1 chip automatically routes the audio and engages the microphone. And when you’re on a call or talking to Siri, an additional accelerometer works with beamforming microphones to filter out background noise and focus on the sound of your voice. Because the ultralow-power W1 chip manages battery life so well, AirPods deliver an industry-leading 5 hours of listening time on one charge.(2) And they’re made to keep up with you, thanks to a charging case that holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time.(3) Need a quick charge? Just 15 minutes in the case gives you 3 hours of listening time.(4)

These are simple to use, sound great, and are great for so many activities including: running, commute to work on the train, listening to podcasts and music, and making your friends jealous. If you're on the fence (as I was) try them out and you will love them. One of the best products Apple has made, it follows the simplistic and high quality design this company is revered for. Great job, Apple!

Nice! link once and voila works flawlessly every time.

One of its kind. Hard to go back to anything else.

From switching between her iPhone to her watch, answering calls and going back to the macbook air, she does it all ALONE. So don't say the connection part is complicated because it's made as simple as it can be. Everything is hard when you don't make an effort to understand it. I've been using mine for a year now. There's nothing like it. Lightweight, aesthetically appealing (they can't make them smaller, even if it sticks out, it is still the smallest truly wireless headphones) and what I like the most: THEY JUST WORK. I can connect them to my friends phone, to my computer, to everything! I can walk away quite far and not worry about wires or losing connection. They just sounds really good considering THE TOTAL FREEDOM THEY GIVE YOU. (I know there's better for cheaper price but they don't give you the same degree of freedom, and that is a game changer.) Only down side which is a major one: it either fits you ears really well (I'm lucky) or you probably need something to help it stay (what my mum uses, transparent plastic thingies). Can't recommend them enough, it's worth the price in every aspect. It's like the future of wireless headphones but ahead of everyone else.

Best Wireless Earbuds for Apple Ecosystem

Since purchasing, I completely regret not getting them sooner than I did. They stay in my ears so well I can hardly even tell they are in there at all. It's nice being able to go on a run without putting an earbud back in every 30 seconds like I had to do with my Jaybird X2's. Sound quality is actually amazing, better than some heaphones I've used and way better than the standard Earpods that came with my iPhone. There was even more bass in the sound than I was expecting at first. Overall a great investment and would totally buy again.

      Just barely worth the price

SOUND I've had these for about three weeks now, and they're pretty good. They're well-built and designed fantastically, the way they work with the charging cas SOUND I've had these for about three weeks now, and they're pretty good. They're well-built and designed fantastically, the way they work with the charging case is great, and they don't necessarily sound bad. Compared to Earpods, they have ever-so-slightly less definition in the highs and mids leading to a slightly muddier overall sound, but it's a comparison you'd only be able to make for the first 24 hours or if you're switching back and forth between the two. They're perfectly acceptable, almost bordering on good, and will sound great to most people. If you're an audiophile that uses mid- to high-end headphones while at home or sitting at a desk for work, however, you'll be disappointed by their small-ish range, apparent emphasis on lows, and lack of soundstage. FIT, CONNECTIVITY AND BATTERY LIFE As for fit, these stay in my ear better than Earpods because there's no cable constantly pulling them down and out of my ears, a problem that made wired Earpods pretty much unusable for me. I've never tried running with Airpods, but I can confirm that shaking my head around violently wasn't enough to cause them to fall out, so take that for what it's worth. Pairing is also just as simple as people make it out to be, but it's easy to overlook just how seriously quick these connect to your phone. Because they start to connect as soon as you open the case, by the time you take even one out and put it in your ear, it's connected to your phone and ready to play music. It's almost scary how fast they are. Five hours of battery may not seem like a lot, but unless you're on a marathon work session or flying across the entire continental United States, five really is a reasonable number. Combined with the fact that they quickly charge whenever they're in their case, it'll seem like they're never dead. CONCLUSION All of this is to say that their best use case is...any situation where you'd use Earpods. That might sound obvious, but it's true; walking, biking, skating, on public transportation, possibly running, for sharing music with a friend, anything like that. Normally, that wouldn't justify the $159 ($172 after sales tax, by the way) price tag, but add the wireless connectivity, great battery life, and seamless connection and integration with your Apple devices, and they just manage to be worth the money (for me, at least). Having something as small, portable, and inconspicuous as these whilst being completely free of wires is one of the most liberating experience you'll have if you've never owned wireless headphones before.
