Also, that Bluetooth blue light that blinks is obnoxiously bright in a dark room. I'm very particular about the sound quality of my music and HD movies. For example, I've always had Bose speakers and auxiliary Monster cables in my car and in my home. Ok, with that being said, I thought I'd spend the money and try these out. The nostalgia of huge on-ear headphones, that come in rose gold to match my Apple Watch and 7+, made them appealing before I even tested the actual quality. Then there was the perk that it had the W1 chip and a 40-hour battery life. I already hate that I have to charge my watch every day... my phone can go 3 days if I need it to and I'd like headphones that could do the same. I'll admit it: I'm lazy. They don't drain the battery on my phone the way my other Bluetooth earbuds and my car's Bluetooth do. Furthermore, you can register the Beats for free with Apple (keep your receipt filed at home, just in case). They're crisp, clear, and LOUD. I can appreciate different background sounds and instrumentals in my music that gives it this dynamic theater-quality listening experience. I'm still mastering the side controls; these aren't as straightforward as my LG Bluetooth buds. I did need these headphones to be able to control music and calls, so I'm going to have to figure that out a little more. Volume and pause/play are the only controls I've managed to master lol. It's just a user error. I've also noticed that when making calls, with the Beats connected via Bluetooth, my phone defaults it to speaker from the phone itself... I have to manually redirect AirPlay to my Beats. They appear right there at the top of the list, so I'm not sure what's going on with that. Perhaps an update for the phone or software is necessary. Also, they don't disconnect when signal is weak or cut in and out (which is due to the W1 chip in both the Beats and the fact that they're paired to another device with a W1 chip). Hope this helps you in making your decision if the Beats Solo3 are right for you.

      Great headphones

Pros: Excellent battery life Stylish looking Loud to the point where I could never listen at full volume (and I work around heavy equipment and aircraft) S Pros: Excellent battery life Stylish looking Loud to the point where I could never listen at full volume (and I work around heavy equipment and aircraft) Stay on your head tightly during workouts and running Ridiculously fast and easy pairing Not flimsy feeling at all Cons: Too big for the gym for my liking, I'll probably wait for powerbeats3 They're pretty pricey even for the quality you're getting

Great platform so far but I'm not sure about how it compares to Spotify. You won't be disappointed with the Beats. I go around putting them on heads of my friends and family. Now I'm understanding why Apple bought them.

Sound quality great, comfort not so much

I like the color, that it can collapse and the fit. My only real complaint is after a few hours of wearing at work, my ears start to hurt. I didn't have this problem with other headphones so not sure why these ones bug me. It might be because it's tight fitting and I wear glasses so be wary that you can't adjust the width just how long they go down.

The sound quality is pretty good but if you want to listen to your music loud, everyone around you will be able to hear it too. My biggest complaint is how after like 20 minutes of wearing them, your ears hurt and turn bright red because they're pressing on your ears so tightly. Would not recommend!!!

      New Favorite Headphones

I don’t write reviews often but these headphones are good enough to make me want to write a review. I’ve owned these for about 20 days now and used them almost I don’t write reviews often but these headphones are good enough to make me want to write a review. I’ve owned these for about 20 days now and used them almost every day. First off the battery. I haven’t charged them since day one and I’m still using them even as I write this. The battery is phenomenal and that’s one of my favorite things about the headphones. The sound is also really good, not as clear as my bose quiet comfort 30. Bose doesn’t make this headphone anymore because they upgraded all theirs to wireless. But from using both Bose and Beats I have to say that for pure sound quality then definitely get Bose. Beats also tend to favor bass a little more then Bose do. But the beats are definitely better in a couple areas. Battery life, durability, and portability. I would never take my bose running or work out in them, but the beats are great for that. They are a little tight, but I’d prefer them to be tight then loose. And the W1 chip means it pairs with my iphone as soon as I turn them on. Overall I definitely recommend them for people who are more active and not extremely particular about sound quality. Most people however would say they sound amazing. I’ve just compared them to Bose headphones and know those are a little better. Last thing I want to mention is about comfort. I’ve worn them for about 2-3 hours before they start hurting my ears due to the pressure of the headphones clamping to your head. After a short break you’re fine. Overall 10/10
