Will the 30w USB-C power adapter charge a 15” MacBook Pro?
- Asked by Susan F from Jessup
- on Sep 3, 2019
Answer
In summary yes, It will charge any device, however it will do so slower for more power hungry ones. In summary yes, It will charge any device, however it will do so slower for more power hungry ones. It won't charge the pro models optimally because these require a higher wattage output from the brick (60 for the 13' and 85 for the 15'). So you will likely see the battery percentage decrease even though it's connected to a charger if you are using them. I recommend using the optimal charger for each device because not doing so will result in a sub-optimal user experience and in some cases might even damage the device.
