      average case

for $100, you'd think it could feel a little nicer. compared to every other iPad's smart folio case, this feels like a cheap knockoff. the edges are razor sharp for $100, you'd think it could feel a little nicer. compared to every other iPad's smart folio case, this feels like a cheap knockoff. the edges are razor sharp and it feels super cheap. on the other hand, it fits perfectly and the pencil attaches nicely. just feels really cheaply made.

      Good Front and Back Protection

Som sort of high tech plastic. Feels good and the finish looks durable. Somewhat pricey but if it lasts will be worth it. It makes a good stand in landscape Som sort of high tech plastic. Feels good and the finish looks durable. Somewhat pricey but if it lasts will be worth it. It makes a good stand in landscape mode for viewing content and typing/drawing. Not useful for portrait mode. This folio should give adequate protection until a better selection of cases for the 3rd generation iPad Pro are available.

It covered just the front, showed off the beautiful body of the device and was insanely easy to just remove and reattach. That was my favorite thing about the Smart Cover. When the Smart Cover was introduced Steve Jobs said "we created this beautiful device, and then put it in a case that covers it all up." So I guess we are going back to that... This Smart Cover does the same general stuff, covers the iPad, wakes/sleeps the screen. The biggest downside is that it doesn't attach to the side anymore and is way harder to get on and off. This also prevents you from just rolling it up and setting it somewhere.

      don't buy this cover

This cover is grossly over priced and does a poor job of protection and as a stand. the only thing it does well is turn it on and off.

      A Failure

Plastic strip/hinge holding the front and back together is tearing/splitting in the middle. Unlike the iPad Air 2 which is cellular and goes out and about...this 12.9 has been a home bound machine, never dropped. Sad. I bought my first Mac back in 1987- Mac SE; this company used to believe in quality.
