  • Overview

    More magical than ever.

The new AirPods — complete with Wireless Charging Case — deliver the wireless headphone experience, reimagined. Just pull them out of the case and they’re ready to use with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.

After a simple one-tap setup, AirPods work like magic. They’re automatically on and always connected. AirPods can even sense when they’re in your ears and pause when you take them out.

To adjust the volume, change the song, make a call, or even get directions, simply say “Hey Siri” and make your request. You have the freedom to wear one or both AirPods, and you can play or skip forward with a double-tap when listening to music or podcasts.

Charge your AirPods quickly and easily with the Wireless Charging Case. Just set the case down on a Qi-compatible charging mat and let it charge. The LED indicator on the front of the case lets you know that your AirPods are charging. And when you’re away from a charging mat, you can use the Lightning port to charge.

AirPods deliver 5 hours of listening time1 and 3 hours of talk time on a single charge.2 And they’re made to keep up with you, thanks to a Wireless Charging Case that holds multiple charges for more than 24 hours of listening time.3 Need a quick charge? Just 15 minutes in the case gives you 3 hours of listening time4 or 2 hours of talk time.5

Powered by the all-new Apple H1 headphone chip, AirPods use optical sensors and motion accelerometers to detect when they’re in your ears. Whether you’re using both AirPods or just one, the H1 chip automatically routes the audio and engages the microphone. And when you’re on a call or talking to Siri, an additional speech-detecting accelerometer works with beamforming microphones to filter out external noise and focus on the sound of your voice.

Great for everything unless you’re a runner

I was so pumped to buy these. They connected easily, sounded pretty good, and the case was an awesome accessory. I then went to the gym. They stayed in while li I was so pumped to buy these. They connected easily, sounded pretty good, and the case was an awesome accessory. I then went to the gym. They stayed in while lifting weights, but with ANY TYPE of cardio, they’d fall out. I’d have to continuously push them in every 30 seconds. :( I ended up returning them and will probably go buy the wireless beats for $50 more.

      Innovative Idea, Awful Execution

Die hard Apple fan here, until this purchase. I sit here and wonder how long Apple thinks they will get away with producing hardware inefficient products with Die hard Apple fan here, until this purchase. I sit here and wonder how long Apple thinks they will get away with producing hardware inefficient products with flashy outer casings that make everyone drool. AirPods are a complete ripoff. Sure, they have great battery life (quite possibly the best on the market when considering their charging case), seamless connection between Apple devices, a great microphone, and a few other nice features. However, ask yourself, what are these features worth if sound does not consistently come through the AirPods when walking down the street. Yes, that's right, look it up. Search google, "airpods cut in and out when phone is pocket". You will find a thread on both Reddit and Apple.com dating back to AirPod's initial release, and still no solution exists. So just know, when you pay $150+ for AirPods, expect that when you're walking down the street with your phone in your pocket, the AirPods will simply not work. The reason for this? The Bluetooth antenna in the AirPods is of such poor quality that it can not deal with external interference. I have been an owner of several different pairs of wireless earbuds/headphones from JBL to Bose and not one has had this problem, because they don't cut corners when it comes to hardware, unlike Apple. I hope Mr. Cook at least spends some time reading the tens of thousands of comments about this issue on the internet, and then maybe Apple will reconsider their integrity.
