The Smart Keyboard Folio for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation) is a full-size keyboard when you need it to be, provides elegant front and back protection when you don’t, and allows for convenient viewing angles. And with no charging or pairing required, just attach the keyboard and start typing.

      What a disappointment!

None of my previous 3 Apple iPad Keyboards made it through their first year with disconnection problems. I opened this one to find the finish felt like a very cheap plastic. There were bubbles all over the finish and it was discolored in several spots. When I called Apple support, they said they couldn't send me a new one until this one was returned to their warehouse. I can't even order a replacement because they are now several weeks out on backorder. I'm not left with no way to protect my even more expensive than the last model iPad Pro. What has happened to you, Apple?

Not worth $200 on any planet. Wait for Logitech or Brydge or other keyboard

If not, why so expensive? A lesson I already knew. Buy the main Apple products, but get the accessories somewhere else.

Big design flaw - Why would you leave the keys exposed?

I can’t figure out why they removed the flap that covers the keys up for when the cover is closed. It seems like the keys are going to attract a bunch of dirt and get scratched up when its fully opened and not in “keyboard” mode and the keyboard is just facing down on your work surface. And then when the keys are dirty or are scratched they will scratch up the iPad display when the cover is closed. I think this is a serious design flaw. It does seem more solid and durable than the previous version which I went through a couple of as they seemed to lose their connection to the smart connector on the previous iPad Pro model.

An stylish disign most fitting this 3rd Gen iPad Pro

I owned both the first and second generations of the iPad Pro 12.9 and although I appreciated the design, and sleekness of the prior keyboard, I encountered connectivity issues which lead to one keyboard replacement on my 1Gen unit, and two replacement on my 2nd Gen unit, i.e., two keyboards and two iPad Pro's as they worked to identify the cause. This new 3rd Gen iPad Pro, and 2nd Gen keyboard are both sleek, well made, and have presented no connectivity issues. I have always enjoyed typing on the keyboard, and like that it allows the iPad to remain thin and sleek. The protection of the full iPad unit is appreciated, and with such a thin presentation, It is in my backpack always, no laptop needed.

First off, the keyboard only has two angle place settings for the iPad instead of a full range of angles to choose from. This can get very frustrating for flexibility of use. Second, the keys do not light up, making it extremely difficult to type at night or in dark spaces which is very inconvenient for a student. Third, there is no cover for the keyboard keys if you want to fold the keyboard back and just use the iPad but keep the smart folio keyboard on; leaving the buttons flipped on the bottom and touching whatever surface. Pretty disappointed considering how much this keyboard costs. Apple could have done way better for their customers with this product.

First of all with that price you really expect something more durable and wont fall off after a month use. It literally totaled from bottom to top. Edges start to lift at a point that I can see the hard materials of the case. I am very ready and willing pay more on a Apple case. But with this quality I feel like robbed... Apple really needs to think and made better case for ipad pro 12.9 3rd generation. The color options are limited , there is no leather version of it... It is really bad. That should ve been fix... Wish there is a photo sharing option so that I can show you how bad my case become after a month use with nothing extreme just carying in backpack’s padded laptop part.
