Where is the "sim-free" option for the upcoming iPhone X?

    They won't have the sim-free available at launch. It usually takes a while. Carrier phones usually always come first.

  • I was told by an apple employee that if you buy a Verizon model IN STORE, they do not collect account information so it is basically the same as an unlocked version. If you buy online however, they do collect account info.

  • i purchased an iPhone 8 on launch day unlocked sim free: however, It doesn't look like that will be an option for the X at launch.

  • I was told by Apple care buy the VERIZON or sprint phone, pay in full, and opt for activate later and you have a fully unlocked phone and simply put in your own sim. Worked for me.

    Go to apple.com website
    Click IPhone X
    Click buy button
    Click 5.8inch display button
    Then you will get to see carrier selection option buttons where you will see the button “ buy without carrier - sim free activate with any carrier later “

  • You can buy with "pay in full" option after selecting at$t t-mobile sprint or verizon.
    At order screen you will see phone case as " unlocked phone with AT&T (which you selected before) sim"
    Next step dont activate your carrier account. Order and enjoy!

    Trash the sim and use your own. Be sure your country support model number of your phone at&t and t mobile use or sprint and verizon use according to gsm and cdma support at apple iphone / LTE adress
