    I have an otterbox commuter case and it does not work with the apple lightning dock. I am assuming that defender case should be slightly bigger than the commuter so the dock will not work with that as well.

  • It's said to be compatible with most third party cases. I suggest going to your nearest apple store and testing it out yourself before purchasing it.
