Is the iPad 3 screen much much better than the iPad 2 screen?

I own an iPad 2, and know that the new iPad has a amazing display. I want to know if the new iPad's screen is much much sharper and high quality than the iPad 2, or if there isn't a great major difference

I feel it is well worth upgrading the iPad2 to the new iPad. When we put them side by side the difference was very obvious. We also got the 64gb this time another reason we upgraded. The iPad is faster with more memory, the camera's are vastly improved, and we love the new dictation feature also. In short yes we ( 7 in our home) all feel that the new iPad is vastly superior to the iPad2 if you are able to upgrade. Sharper, brighter, it's photo perfect honestly. We find ourselves watching more movies on it than we do our TV. Reading is much easier on the new iPad also.

  • iPad 2 has a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and the new iPad is 2048 x 1536. I think the question here is how much are you going to take advantage of that resolution on the new iPad? 10% of the time? 30? 50? Only then would you know if it was worth the upgrade cost or not
