What is the current Mac equivalent to the previous Mac's "AppleWorks" application?

The current equivalent is called 'iWork', which includes three applications.

    Pages (word processor)
    Numbers (spreadsheet)
    Keynote (presentation)

Unlike AppleWorks, the three applications are sold individually, through the Mac App Store.

However, if you have an iCloud account you can currently log in to Apple's iCloud.com and try the beta versions for free.
Bare in mind the beta versions may not be as fully featured as the full Mac versions but its a good way to check them out before buying them.
