Does this adapter support a MacBook USB superdrive?
Have tried another USB-C to USB adapter and the drive wasn't supported. It says my firmware version is 200 - if thats important at all... Please help - they're too expensive to buy and then not work and I need to buy an adaptor before uni starts back (in two weeks)
Just bought a new MacBook pro (13 inch, 2016) update from macBook Air (13 inch, 2012) and bought the disc drive new in 2013

Will this adapter when used with the new 12" Retina MacBook allow simultaneous Mac charging while also powering a USB portable drive ?
Since the new 12" Retina MacBook has just a USB-C port the issue arises on how an external HD can be attached. If say, one wants a self-powered USB HD access can this be plugged into the adapter with or without the USB-C power cable connected ? If the USB-C power cable is connected to the adapter will it both charge the Mac as well as providing power to the USB self powered HD ? Thanks.

How do you connect the new 12 inch MacBook to an apple thunderbolt computer? Do you need a separate dongle for the thunderbolt cable too?

Under "system requirements" it states this adapter "Supports both video and audio output" - however VGA does not support audio so how can this work?

What's the terms of warranty for this $79 USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter ?
I got this adapter about 1 month ago. The USB interface is not stable. I'm debating whether to get it replaced now or later when it completely fails me. Thanks!

What resolutions are supported with this device?
I would like seamless support for high resolution monitors and lower resolution projectors.
Of course, it should use a safe resolution when you first plugin a new device.

Can the USB socket accept a USB that gives access to multiple USB sockets or SD card slots.
I frequently use 2 USB memory sticks simultaneously together with an SD card or microSD card and I need to be able to plug all these in at the same time. Without this facility, I would have no use for the new Mac Book 12 inch.

Is the USB data speed limited when using VGA?
Does outputting video with the VGA port change the amount of data that can be transferred using the regular USB port? What about the USB-C port?

How does this " support both video and audio output"? Certainly it doesn't support audio over the VGA port, right?
Was this text copy-pasted from the "USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter," which does support audio and video over the HDMI port? (Presumably the USB port would support audio, just like any other USB port would, but that's not how I read this claim.)
