I am deaf in my right ear. Can AirPods be purchased in pairs of two left so that I have a spare?

I am considering buying air pods but the right side would be useless to me so I would prefer to get two left sides instead.

I have 2 different iCloud accounts one for the iPad and one for my iPhone. Can I connect the left piece to my iPad and the right one to my phone?

Can the Airpods be used independently. I can only hear in my left ear. Can i just use the one head phone. could some one else use the other headphone?

Will a single AirPod work while the second one is charging, or both need to be inserted to activate?

There are situations when I need to be able to hear ambient noise while on a phone and/or listening to music. Currently it's easy to accomplish - just leave one earbud out. Will these AirPods work while only one is inserted (I'm planning to keep the other one in the charging case so it won't be lost)?

The AirPods looks great and classic but I have this "getting lost" concerns, I'm afraid $159 might slip away easily. Is there any secure measures?

How do I know when the case is low on battery?

I want to prevent the situation when I'm out and I need to charge my AirPods but I find out that the case has no battery left and I cannot charge the AirPods. I know that my iPhone display level of the battery for AirPods but what about the case? How do I recognise when it needs to be charge?
