    Unpleasant over time

    • Written by Zachary N from Dallas

The keyboard does what it claims to do, but I found that with time it became increasingly uncomfortable to use. I've never had keyboard-related hand/wrist pain but have had to go back to typing on my MacBook multiple times because it was too painful to use the logitech keyboard.

Unfortunately the return policy means I'm stuck with it because it's been ~6 months since my original purchase. This means I'll now purchase the more expensive Apple keyboard that I should have bought in the first place.

The only logitech product I've ever had trouble with.

Works intermittently. Skips characters and sometimes they are received out of sequence. Do not waste your money.

    Doesn't work with Mojave

    • Written by Dan R from Brentwood

I upgraded from a 2011 iMac running High Sierra to a 2019 iMac running Mojave. This keyboard worked great with High Sierra but on my new iMac is skips keystones and is slow to respond. I tried 2 different K750 keyboards and different fobs and still doesn't work. Using it now. No suf it's the Mac or they. I typed: no sure if it's the keyboard or the Mac. Unusable.

    Good keyboard with limitations

    • Written by K C W from Mesa

Lack of CAPSLOCK indicator creates frequent problems. Am constantly having to re-enter passwords Can be very frustrating and a waste of time. Put it back in the box and have returned to using keyboard that came with why MAC. Do not like the smaller size keyboard but better than multiple entries of passwords. Would not have bought had I known this.

Great keyboard till the charging stops working.

    • Written by Robert T from Escondido

I love the feel of the keys and being able to go between laptops and desktops with a similar keyboard. For this reason I purchased similar Logitech KB for my and my wife's work as well. The logitech Solar KB's are one of my favorite keyboards to use and I'd of given it 5 stars if not for the failures. I've had this MAC version keyboard over 5 years, and it's worked great until now, so I guess I'l luckier than many. Suddenly the battery level began to drop and then totally died. I ordered the special rechargeable battery for it, and it worked for a couple days until the new battery also discharged. It doesn't charge even in direct sunlight. I've also had three of the PC versions, one lasted six months (my wife's used at her work, replaced the battery but still malfunctioned), another 3 years, and the last one is about 2 years old and still working (use it at my work). There does seem to be a flaw in them to varying degrees, as I have other wireless keyboards twice as old still working last I used them, including my old apple wireless going on 8 years.

I decided to go with the new Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad and see how long the rechargeable battery will last. The reason I replaced my original Apple wireless keyboard was for the Numeric Keypad after the Apple looking add-on gave me lots of problems, often not connecting or loosing connection. So far I like the new Magic KB, just getting used to the reduced travel of the keys vs the Logitech or original Apple wireless. I do wish Apple had a solar version, it's been nice never dealing with batteries with the Logitech. I think I got my moneys worth on the Apple version, not so much on my wife's PC version. Just didn't want to risk it again and like the look of the Apple wireless in Space Grey. I think most will like the Logitech and I'm sure many last a long time before failure, so I wouldn't discourage anyone form giving it a try, since it's just over a third of the price of the Apple Space Grey KB.

Been through 3 of these in the last 7 years.

    • Written by Tyler F from San diego

Great idea to have something that does not require charging or batteries. Even in my office, which has no windows and all the lights off when I'm not in the room, I have never had issues with lack of light. Typing feels good and has slightly more action than the standard Apple keyboards for desktop, types quiet and is not a "clicky" device.

However, these do not last. Over the last 7 years I have exchanged 2 of them for replacement, which Logitech provided for free. Today, my third one went out on me. The support team has told me that this keyboard has a known defect that causes failure. Given this, it surprises me they are still making these. I would recommend spending twice as much for the Apple wireless, which is what I'm about to do because I'm tired of creating support tickets on the Logitech website.

    Logitech solar keyboard

    • Written by Paul F from Gardiner

I have had this keyboard for about 6 months, its horrible and disconnects all the time. Its not a battery issue as the battery is fully charged. However if you disconnect the dongle and reconnect, it may work again for the day. I have officially switched to the apple magic keyboard, nothing beats the MAC products.

    Good Until It Dies

    • Written by Mary D from Reno

I loved the concept of this keyboard and enjoyed using it. I bought it 11/11/2017 and it totally died 10/15/2018. Logitech told me the limited warranty period expired and gave me trouble shooting instructions all of which I had already tried. So annoying. But knowing it was shot anyway (it would not charge), I decided to change the internal battery. That worked for about a week and 1/2. It is a beautiful looking keyboard and works perfectly until it simply stops performing at all with no advance warning. Since it is relatively expensive, I would not recommend purchasing until they have ironed out all the bugs.

    OWSOME! SINCE 2013!

    • Written by TITO O from Arnold

Honestly I don't really know why all this people complain about not working and having connectivity issues. I bought mine back in 2013 and I use it with my iMac for photography and design projects every single day, and until today I never had a single problem with it of any kind, and I've also updated through 3 or 4 operating systems and it keeps working as the first day. I will buy another one for sure when I need it!

    Great keyboard

    • Written by Zach D from Wilmington

I've had this keyboard for four or five years now and have loved it. It's sturdy, the keys have a nice feel to them and until I recently moved to a shady area in my home office, I've never had to worry about making sure it's charged. (Now that I have, I just leave it in some light when I'm not using it.) I love not having to change batteries once a month or so like I do with my Magic Trackpad and I love that it has an integrated number pad.

The biggest complaint I've read in other reviews is that it uses a USB dongle instead of Bluetooth. I have no issue with that as I use it with an iMac and have a couple extra USB hubs hooked up to it anyway. I mean, with all the USB devices around these days, I feel like you need a USB hub anyway.

Anyway, this keyboard is one of my favorite accessories, and if anything ever happens to it I'll definitely buy a new one. I think that'll be a while though since the one I'm typing on right now is still going strong after several years.

    Everything works except...

    • Written by John S from Plano

I've used this keyboard for 5 years now and it works great with no batteries but recently upgrading to High Sierra the Play, Rewind, and Fast Forward buttons (F7, F8, F9) do not work with iTunes. It used to work but now I have to manually go to iTunes. I've created other short cuts on the keyboard through the mac settings but that is a hassle.

Hope they can get this fixed because as of 8/22/18 it does not work.

    Just doesn’t work

    • Written by David C from Niceville

I have tried 2 of these keyboards on my iMac and they just won't work properly. I like the keyboard and the price is right, but the Solar App will say my keyboard is 100% charged and then it will show red pressing the keyboards solar button. I give up.

I'm typing on a cheap PC Logitech K120 because I just upgraded to High Sierra and the 750 is not stable. Slooooow response. Sometimes no response. I love the keyboard but tomorrow I'm headed to Apple for a new Apple hard wired keyboard.

HAVE HAVE SPARE USB, otherwise it is Worthless

    • Written by John T from Houston

I wish I had read the previous review a couple of months earlier. The other person clearly pointed out that he did not have enough ports in their MAC book to plug the 'antenna' for the wireless keyboard. With only 2 ports on the MacPro (one for power and the other for a monitor) we could not use it. The MAC telephone salesperson did a bad job of not asking the right questions when selling it to me.

I purchased this keyboard thinking it would work for my new MacPro - unfortunately it requires a USB port (which my Mac does not have) so it will not work. I recommend making this fact more prominent in the details.
