    Slim, stylish, great protection

I’ve had this case for about 3 years now; I’ve dropped my phone numerous times and it’s never suffered so much as a scratch. And the case is not big and bulky—very slim and stylish. Feels great in my hand too.

Protection? - shattered with simple drop to floor

Do not purchase: you will have a false sense of security. ONE week shy of warranty expiration, the phone slipped from my hands onto a cement floor. I was not doing anything but holding and texting on the phone. Screen shattered. Fortunately for me, same day screen replacement for $30. I also purchased a case that closes like a wallet. I am very careful with phones and it was the first I've ever broken; trades used to refund me money because my 2-yr old phone was so pristine. This is not an OTTER or Life anything. Spend the same on an Otterbox

    Discolors easily. Compatibility overstated.

The Tech 21 Evo mesh Sport case for iPhone 6 and 6s is a decent case. It offers the expected amount of protection that I'm used to from a open face, tech 21 case. However, after a short month of daily use the case has taken on the dye from my jeans and will not wash off. This is also true for fellow retail store workers who use the same case regardless of the color they used. I bought the white case to match my apple watch sport band, but my black denim jeans have turned the case to a dull grey/brown. I've seen a coworkers pink evo mesh sport case turn blue from their denim.

Beyond that, the case fits mostly correct. It fits the iPhone 6 as expected but stretches the lower portion of the case a little bit on the iPhone 6s. Most people don't realize the 6s is slightly thicker and heavier than the 6. The difference in fit doesn't change the functionality of the case, but when the case is marketed around its ability to stylishly match your ecosystem aesthetic, which it sort of can, this effect lasts only a month or so if you wear dyed pants regularly...

    Zero Protection

Two and a half foot fall provided no protection and the screen smashed.

    Don't waste your money!!

This case is trash! My phone was hit out of my hand by accident from a short distance from the ground, and my phone still manage to crack.

    Decent protection w/a few caveats

The good: This case was recommended to me when I told the Apple Store clerk in Berkeley that I was extremely accident-prone but also wanted to be able to hold and operate the iPhone 6 with one hand, meaning nothing too heavy or bulky. He immediately recommended this case, and I've had it on ever since. Granted, the extra 1/4" it adds to each side makes some of the buttons a bit of a stretch for my (relatively normal-sized?) hand, but the protection is worth it. My iPhone 6 has survived a year and a half or so in my possession (including several drops) completely unscathed.

The not-so-good: It isn't a super-tight seal like some snap cases, so it isn't that hard to get in and out of the case. That's useful if you take it out of the case a lot (to put into an armband, for example), but it also means dirt can accumulate in there which can scratch the aluminum if it isn't cleaned out quickly, and also moisture, if you're not careful. I've noticed a tiny bit of discoloration on the back of the phone, around the lens where the metal isn't covered by the case. It's almost the kind of thing you'd expect to see on furniture or on patios that sit partially in the sun, partially out. I've also noticed small places where it looks as if the mesh pattern on the inside of the case has somehow affected the finish on the aluminum. The pattern isn't an indentation, just a discoloration, and it hasn't come off with cleaning. The resale value isn't a concern of mine - I'll use this phone happily until the next one I want to buy comes along (probably the 7) - and I'll definitely skip the "mesh" the next time I want to buy a case.

    Don't recommend

I was recommended this case by the Apple Store employee who sold me my new iPhone 6S plus. Said it got great reviews, and great in case of dropping your phone. I asked about a screen protector and was told I didn't need one.

Case is slippery, and since the phone is big, this can make it hard to hold on to at times. I went 2 months with only minor fumbles. Then once I dropped my phone from about 3ft onto a sidewalk and the screen shattered. My last iPhone was in a less protective case than the Tech21 claims it is, and I dropped it plenty of times with no issues. So I don't recommend this case to anyone who thinks they might drop this phone.

    Best Case

Won't break and won't scratch the case. No protection for the screen, but that is optional if you buy a separate film. Love this case.

Case is easily scared and marked

I bought this case when I bought my 6s. It looked good and I believe it could offer good protection for the phone but in a few days it began to show cracks in the edging and in a few more the cracks began to expand and increase in numbers. Now it looks like it's been through a war.

I keep the phone in a front pocket in my jeans with coins. The only other option would be with my keys.

I would not recommend this case for anyone who does not have some better place to keep their phone.

    Great case.

This case does not add much bulk to the phone and does a great job protecting it. Looks great great and also makes it easier to grip.

I would highly recommend this case.

    Dropped down elevator shaft

I dropped my phone with this case down an elevator shaft, 4 floors. I thought it was toast, so I purchased a new phone without ever having to retrieve it. Months later, the elevator repair man came to do some work and found my phone, with so little as a crack! I will use these cases always and forever.

    Poor fit

My old Tech21 Evo Mesh Case kept my iPhone 5 safe and sound for over two years, so I was excited about buying a new one to protect my new iPhone 6s. However, as others have pointed out here, the case does not fit the iPhone 6s properly: the sides are loose and the case has a tendency to slip off, especially when taking the phone out of a pocket. Very disappointed in this product, especially given the premium price point.

    Great protection great size

i have had this case for a full year now and it is my favorite balance of protection and size. I have dropped my phone at least 6 times and it just bounces. I do use the Tech screen protector as well so together they work great. The case fits snug on my iPhone 6 yet I can easily peel it off if I want to.

    Doesn't fit!

I bought this case from the Apple online store and returned it at my local store the day it arrived. It does NOT fit my iPhone 6. The sides of the case are too loose, and the case feels like it will fall off at any time. What a shame, I had high hopes for this case.

    NOT DROP PROTECTIVE

So I've had this case for about four months and have, in that time, shattered my phone twice. Both times it fell onto smooth surfaces (tile floor and a gymnasium). Neither of these incidents were aggressive drops or even particularly likely ones. I just fumbled the phone in my hand (it's a slippery case) and it fell. If you think you might drop your phone, I would consider something bulkier as it will no doubt save you a lot of money.

On the other hand, the case is very attractive and holds up to wear and tear, at least in appearances. If that's all you need it for, then disregard this review. (And also the "Drop Protective" phrase in the product title.)

    Good Sporty/Dark Case

Recently purchased this case at a local Apple Store, and couldn't be happier. The case adds a little bulk to the width, but not to the phones depth. Some reviews state that the case did not 'protect the screen', but thats why Tech21 also makes a screen protector. Overall I like the aesthetics it adds to my Space Grey phone, and makes it a little less slippery.

    Falls off

It's a great case but it is made slightly too big so that it does not hold the iPhone 6 firmly enough. My iPhone 6 comes out of it when it is in my back pocket, and sometimes in other situations. Worse, when the iPhone 6 slip out of the case, the edge of the case sometimes hits the mute switch and turns it on or off. A pain. Compounding the pain, it is made in England, no service contacts in the US, so you have to communicate with them by email.

    Does NOT protect on drops!

I like the overall design of the case a lot, but it is absolutely NOT "Drop Protective"! In 6 months, I've had two short drops and BOTH of them shattered the screen! I bought this because I don't like the bulk of the OtterBox but it really doesn't protect at all.

Best case I've owned (and I've owned a lot!)

This is by far the best iPhone case I've used. I've probably owned somewhere around 10-15 cases in since the first iPhone came out and this one tops them all.

Sure, there are definitely more "rugged" cases out there. But they come at the expensive of being very bulky and heavy (and downright ugly), which takes away from the iPhone's sleek elegance. This is my favorite case because for its sleekness/slimness, it is still extremely protective and shock-absorbing. Normally when I drop my phone (while encased), the case itself takes a little damage (some have cracked, others get dented, while some others just get scuffed or scratched). Not so with this case. I've dropped my phone several times and not only is the phone completely protected, the case still looks new.

    don't drop it face down

I dropped my phone a couple of times not face down, all good. One time, face down, cracked the screen to pieces! My advice spend the extra money on a really good case like Otter box or Lifeproof case, you'll have better luck and will save money in the end from having to get a new screen! Frankly, with all the latest and greatest technology I think Apple should come up with an unbreakable screen, what do you think? Sounds too easy right? Yeah, because then you won't be spending money on a new screen everytime you drop your phone.
