    Works well for some games

I play Marvel Contest of Champions and this controller is listed as compatible. The problem is there is some lag, and the biggest problem is that you can't press the heavy attack button and hold it down to power up the attack, it just fires immediately. If you are a decent player, it makes the controller useless. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

Don’t listen to bad reviews. Amazing controller!

First let’s put out all the “issues” everyone has with this controller. It does not come with a charging cable. Which should be fine because it uses a lightning cable the same cable you use to charge your iPhone or iPad. Also, it charges very fast when plugged into a wall charger. Also with a 40 hour battery life you will not be charging that often. Next, there is lag when using it through your Apple TV. This should be obvious since it’s connecting to your Apple device and then over WiFi to your Apple TV and there is delay due to the WiFi transmission. Some games it makes them unplayable, others do a better job of handling the lag. Shantae was unplayable, but GTA was fine. So even though it says it will do this, I would not suggest it. And lastly, the manual that comes with it is super lame. Download the app and that will help you far more. Not only do I suggest the app, I suggest checking it out before you even decide to buy this controller because it has a list of all compatible games, and some are strangely absent. All the GTA games are there, but Bully isn’t. No idea why.

There is a lot of quality built into this controller, it feels very solid. Some could complain that the D-pad and front buttons feel a little cheap, but all react perfectly and spring right back. The analog sticks and L and R buttons are perfect! They feel exactly as you would expect a high quality controller to feel. It also has a comfortable form fit to your hands for long gameplay sessions. Also the matte finish is nice providing great grip.

Probably the only thing I really wish it came with is some sort of carry case. It’s not a deal breaker, but the is the first thing I’m going to look for. Over all I highly recommend purchasing one if you have compatible games. I personally hate touch screen controls, even good ones take me out of the action by placing my hands and fingers in the way.

Great controller with limits. Fix latency and you have a winner.

I purchased this controller for my Apple TV to play games without the original ATV4 remote which proved to be difficult. The controller is great and feels very comfortable in my hands. The button layout is great also. The only issue I have is with latency. You press a button and get a reaction that is delayed, not much but noticeable. It’s enough to shave a few ms off a lap time which keeps me out of leaderboards for the most part. Also the buttons are loud.

    Great when it works

Here is a known issue with the game controllers and the ATV4. You cannot choose what player the remote should be. For most games you’ll notice it says P1, but when you open the game it defaults to P2. This makes the game controller useless in games since it won’t work. It will only allow the Apple TV remote to play. EXTREMELY dissapointed that his basic feature was overlooked. Apple please work on this !!!

Manuals very bad for new users company so cheap no lightening cable include

You buy the item, open the nylon bag to find very little instructions on how to use the Nimbus .
This company is the cheapest (Denmark) company I ever seen they charge so much for the product and do not include a 3’ lightening cable that might cost them in China maybe a couple of pennies . That’s why I love Apple they include what you need to start your product with . If I did not had one at home I would have send it back and bought a deferent item .But so far I am unhappy still charging it for 3 hours where I do not understand my head to my toes as I said I am a new user . But bought the New Apple TV 64GB and saw this so I bought it hope I will learn other wise it goes back .

Super excellent controller for new Apple TV 4K

Simple to set-up and pair with Apple TV and iPhone. Uses lightening cable - a huge plus in my household. Sturdy feel in hand and it is very responsive. Just as good or better than any Microsoft or Android controller. Only negative, works only with MiFi enabled apps and it would have been nice if they included a lightening cable for charging (although we have plenty at home. Great value for the money. It really works great and makes Apple TV even more fun. Definitely highly recommend! :)

    Just perfect!

I like it so much! It feels comfortable, and such sensitive D-Pad and more new features... Better than the xbox(I think).

Great controller but only one can be used on Apple TV?

We were in the Apple store when they had AG drive playing on one of the systems. Our grandson loved playing the game so we bough a couple of these controllers to play it at home. But only ONE controller will work even though you can play two at the same time. It doesn't make sense, you can only use one of these controllers with the other player stuck with the Apple TV remote. Not sure who is at fault here: Apple? Nimbus? or AG Drive developers?

    Best Controller Yet!

I just bought my Apple TV to be a mixture of entertainment devices. While in the Apple Store, I happened to notice two controllers, this being one of them. The second I picked it up, I knew that this was the controller for me. It feels very secure in my hand, very similar to the feeling of a PS4 Controller. The price is great, the fact that it is wireless is even better, and finally the fact that I have charged this controller once and it has lasted me four days and counting is the icing on the cake. This is a must have for gaming on the Apple TV. Charges via lightening cable. I play Real Racing 3 the most on the Apple TV and this is the perfect addition for gaming.

    Amazing!!! Works great!

So I had recently bought a gaming controller on online and it didn't work at all. I totally regretted getting it. So I decided to look more into controllers and came across this one, I decided to buy it and give it a try-- I received the gaming controller in the mail today and I absolutely love it totally worth the price! It works amazing with the iPhone 7 Plus. It's compatible with a lot of games.

    Great Controller!

Being a person that works from home I tend to have a lot of free time between jobs and I fill that time with gaming. I bought this controller the day it came out with my Apple TV. Fast forward... ummm... a long time and the controller has held up pretty well. There are some things that could be better, sure. The triggers on the bottom (L2 & R2) aren't as responsive as I'd like them to be. The rubber on the right stick has worn down exposing the plastic underneath. However, all things considered I think it's a solid controller; in fact, I am buying a second one tomorrow (the white one).

    Won't last long

The controller is great when it's working. In the last couple weeks the controller was acting weird and wouldn't connect to the appleTV. I would need to plug it in to charge for it to work. Now, it connects to the appleTV but the controller won't work. I get no response when pushing any of the buttons. After reading other reviews about this controller, this seems to be a problem.

    No Gyro

Although a nice controller, this device has no gyro--so its very hard to play racecar games. Shame on you Apple!

    Not a complete gamepad controller.

Bought this for 4th generation Apple TV for use with AG Drive. Works fine for that. I sometimes use Airplay to the AppleTV to run Feral Interactive Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga with our grandson so I thought I'd pair the Nimbus to the ATV and airplay the game.
That was not a good experience. Sent information to Feral and they responded as follows:
"Steelseries Nimbus controller cannot be fully supported due to it not having the L3 and R3 analog stick clicks that are required for full control in some titles" Not a big deal since I have controllers that do work. Just be aware that it is not a complete controller.

    Be Careful

This is a nice controller but it is not compatible with a Mac. Works ok with Apple TV but is not a "crossover product" except on a PC. Unfortunately Apple sells games like Oceanhorn on the Mac that are not compatible between the platforms so game controllers fit the theme of being incompatible. Should I pay twice for a game that I probably didn't want anyway? Seriously, I called SteelSeries tech support in India and they claim it works just fine with a Mac.....

ps. this game needs a controller. Sad choice by Mac to charge customers for a game that is unplayable without a controller.

    Good controller

Bought it without any real expectations but turned out to be pretty good. It's a lot more satisfying than my on-screen buttons when it comes to playing games.

    Relief!

Was extremely tired of tapping the screen on my iPad whilst playing my games and bought this. I have not been disappointed at all. Use this for my iPhone and Apple TV too now.

    Great controller

Couldn't imagine a better wireless controller for my iPad. Solidly built and feels great in the hand; I actually prefer it to the 360 controller. Charges quickly (and the Lightning connector means I don't need to find a separate cable for it) and lasts for ages. Highly recommended.

Noticeable latency with L and R buttons

There is a definite and annoying latency when using the gaming controller. For example when controlling the flippers in Zen PInball there is a definite lag in responsiveness. Don't have this problem with the Siri Controller.

    Comfortable and easy to use

This remote will remind you of an Xbox controller and it's super easy to use. Pairing couldn't be easier.
