This printer is horrible and so does the support or lack of..4654

i've never been do frustrated with a printer. I thought it would be great and easy for several computers to use for a home office. It constantly jumps offline, I have to turn it off and back on every time I use it.

I don't think I'll ever buy a HP product again. Bummed apple carries such poor products in the stores.

They also seem more interested in selling me ink then answering my questions

    Great printer!

I have no problems with this printer so far. Does a great job for the price. Took a chance with the mixed reviews and has been great so far.

    Unfixable Bonjour Problems

It worked and scanned for about 3 weeks, then it stopped printing or scaning from my iMac, and iPad. I tried HP,Mac Support endlessly Chat after chat after call. No on e could help me fix this thing.

    Unreliable Too Many Problems

Like other customers have stated, it becomes unresponsive.
The sleep function doesn't usually work. It has to be shut down and restarted before each print.
I also had the customer service experience where I spoke with someone that used a screen share and kept reaching into my personal photos unnecessarily. (I wasn't printing photos) I told them that they didn't need to look in my files and when they wouldn't stop, I couldn't figure out how to gain control of the screen, so I tried shutting my computer down.
I also have tried turning my computer off and on, unplugging all cables and waiting, reinstalling the software and removing the device (multiple times) from my device list.
Perhaps it works better with a PC?

HP OfficeJet4654 Not Even Worth $99

In less than one year this printer quit printing sheet-fed documents. After that it began not printing wirelessly. Then it quit printing at all unless I unplugged and replugged the USB cord. Now it only prints PDFs. Takes 7 to 10 minutes to "spool up" before any printing starts. I have worked with my Internet provider. My husband's printer works fine - no issues. I've worked with Apple to see if my MacBookPro could be the issue. I've worked with HP - every different rep gives me different solutions. They don't last. They call this hunk of cheap plastic "All-in-One." Though my printer now is only reliable for scanning. So I say, It's "Only One." Scanning Only. There are no good printers for Mac products, sadly.

Jams at the slightest provocation. Will not print labels, like the common Avery series labels at all. HP customer support says, yes indeed it will not print labels. But it also will jam if the corner of a page is a little bent. Hard to believe that HP who invented inkjet printing and has been making printers that actually work for decades would ship one with such abysmal document feeding. But they did and they even admit it!

    HP OfficeJet 4650.

this printer is awesome. It is sold only at the Apple Store or online. I purchased mine at an Apple store. They hand carried it to my vehicle.

It was set up in 10 minutes, all you do is load paper. It upgrades automatically. it has an email address it gives you that you can use to send messages to print. It goes into sleep mode automatically.

I got over a 100 pages with the ink case that came with it and its about half done !!!!

Get refills at Walmart for $15.00.

It is light, can copy, scan, fax, and if you have a torn original, it automatically attaches it to a piece of paper. so you can use it again.

its price at $99.95, you can shut down ANYTIME if you made an amount to be printed mistake. and start over.

Use it with my iPad Air, thats all Apple product i have. Very fast printer, comes out a page every 5 seconds. Estimate.

Turn off the color to save ink. Can set to page 1 of 1 EASILY !!! 0r to pages 1 to your final page. if out of paper it stops, tells you to reload, it then resets itself and continues to print. Can STOP it PRINTING anytime !!!!

    Turns off after 2 minutes

After 2 minutes, the printer turns off and says cannot connect to printer. I have to turn printer off and and every time I want to print. I reinstalled the printer but it did not make a difference. HP support is not helpful and Apple support even less so. Last time with an HP product.

    Not Worth it!

never again will I buy anything form HP. I have called several times and talked to someone on the other side of the world and they went into my computer to try and find the problem. After all this I was told just to turn everything off and back on. Two months later, I still have to unplug and turn off internet and printer and restart every time I try to print because it always says 'looking for printer' or 'printer not connected". Not worth the money or time.

    Best printer ever!

This is by far the best printer we've purchased. The set up was quick and easy. We've purchased 4 printers in the last 6 years and this one was by far the best to set up and the cheapest. Thanks HP and Apple!!!!!
