    Works as advertised

Solid support for the 12.9” iPad Pro. Doesn’t budge. Viewing angle is excellent. Charges no differently than if the Lightning Cable were plugged into the iPad itself. Looks great. I’ve had it on my desk for two years. Never any issues. The complaints posted elsewhere here are a puzzlement and simply don’t apply. Over time the underside collects dust and debris, easily wiped clean with a squirt of Windex and a paper towel.

Great idea but don’t expect it to charge your iPad

I can leave my iPad on this thing for two days and it will be at the same battery level I left it. More of a sustainance dock than a charging dock.

Product does not work, avoid purchasing

If this charging stand performed as advertised, it would be a dream. No connectors to fiddle with, simply dock your device when not in use and hours later you are fully charged and unencumbered by cables. Problem is, it just doesn’t work. We have multiple iPads in our household that are all used for a variety of purpose. This is the second logi stand I have had—returned the first after it stopped working after less than 2 months. The second stand is now mimicking the failures experienced with the first. The same problems listed below—once you have upgraded to the most current iOS, the device is no longer recognized and will not work. $100 is way too much to pay for an accessory that functions for less than 8 weeks on average.

Apple should be as strict with third party manufacturers as they are with app development and release. Selling this scam product in their stores tarnishes their brand considerably. If a 0 star rating was available, I would have selected it.

Works great with my 10.5 inch iPad Pro

Even works with the Logitech Keyboard Case installed on the iPad Pro (keyboard detached, of course). Nice not to have to plug the lighting cable in and have it hanging off the side all the time.

Great Product but with Poor Finish, back to the factory please

The first thing I've noticed when I've opened the box is how poor is the packaging.
The item is left like a returned or cheap product with no unwrapping effort to preserve it and the user manual is glued to the box!

Using the base is great, makes total sense and it's fairly simple, the design looks something like what Apple make but then you notice how harsh is the aluminum as it left unbrushed and it doesn't feel right! it's like it skipped a process in the factory!

I'm picky, 100$ for a piece of aluminum, it better be very well done or Logi better sell it half the price, ether way I'm returning it.

    I want a refund

Bought two of these a few weeks ago , “ accessory not supported “ , surely they should not sell them if they don’t work and they are refusing to refund my money

Product cannot charge iPad if left unlocked

I want my iPad on all the time and it cannot keep 100% charge. It will eventually go to just about 0%. It indicates that it is charging but does not.

    Insufficient charging!

This base does not supply enough power to charge the device. I have the 12.9 iPad and it’s charging at a rate of 1%/ hour unused. If you read the support section on Logitech’s site, they post charging times. They state that it would take 70 hours to fully charge the device when used. My experience is that it’s not possible for the device to charge at all when used because the usage out weighs the charge.

Do not buy this if you’re looking for a charging / docking solution for the 12.9” iPad Pro.

No longer works with iOS 11 - "Accessory Not Supported"

After updating to iOS 11 - the message "Accessory Not Supported" will constantly pop up. When you dismiss it it just comes back and it drains battery quickly if left on the Stand. I am on the 11.0.2 update which is the latest available at this time.

It is unfortunate because this is one of my favorite accessories. I assume this is more of an issue with iOS 11, but Logitech needs to get with apple ASAP to resolve this otherwise its simply a $100 paperweight.

    Docking stand now not "supported"

Every since I updated my iPad Pro 9.7 to iOS 11, I now keep getting the "Accessory Not Supported" message when I dock my iPad. Until this is fixed, I would STAY AWAY from this dock.

Before iOS 11, I LOVED my dock!!!

Could be useful, IF only it was working as advertised…

Just received my product, plugged it and placed my iPad Pro 12.9" (new gen) on it:
    Nothing happened…
I placed it again, and again, and when something happens, it's like this:

    • The quick sound tone indicating a charge starts fires, oh wait… no, wait… yes, oh wait… no, wait… yes, oh wait… no, wait… yes, oh wait… no, wait… yes, oh wait… no, wait… yes, oh wait… no, wait… yes…
And so on, you hear ding ding ding ding with some random popping up message asking to update de Logi BASE Smart Connector… which never works anyway.

Very bad experience and I'm not sure about how well the back of my iPad would be protected considering how edge to edge is to "protection".

"Accessory Not Supported" alerts popping up

I bought this with my 12.9" iPP. Seems like a great idea, but getting it to connect and charge is a challenge that requires wiggling the iPP on the base until I hear the tone. And when it does connect, the "Accessory Not Supported" alert often pops up, effectively locking me out of use. Logitech's 'support' is useless here.

With the new technology for charging plus an aligned magnetic base, this the perfect complement to the iPad Pro. Thank you Logitec, you're the only ones I use...
Also love the base pad, nice and sticky! Easy to clean and simple to set up.

    Stopped working after 6 months

The base no longer charges consistently. I have to unplug the cable and then it will work sometimes. Poor quality.

    A Waste of Money

I bought one and it worked with my 9.7" iPad Pro. Then suddenly it wanted me to update some connection software, but it wouldn't allow it to happen. It kept saying "Press here to update", but it never updated.

I then bought a 10.5" iPad pro, put it in the same LogiBase, and it still wouldn't charge at all.

Not one to give up, I bought a new LogiBase. Same problem.

Apple couldn't figure it out. And Logitech offered no solution. I never had problems with Logitech gear before. But this is a dog.

Great Stand but not for rapid charging.

This stand is an perfect for keeping your iPad charged for long duration uses. I use my iPad to play my background music and to control all of my home kit items so I don't really ever drain it down to nothing and need a rapid charge to continue using it. So for me this is a great charging stand but if your looking for a rapid charge type of stand then look els where but this is a great display stand for long term usage.

Stopped working within first 90 days

Purchased for use with iPad Pro 12.9". Stand looks great, but stopped working (i.e., still functions as dumb stand, but no longer charges iPad) within first 90 days following purchase.

    Great Charging Stand

I brought this charging stand for my iPad Pro 12.9inch as I needed a convenient place to charge it. Since I have had this stand it's been great and very happy. I can't understand why there are so low star reviews as this product is great. If you have a Smart Keyboard or Smart Cover you will have to remove it so the Smart connector can connect with the charging stand. Logitech has always made great long lasting reliable products and here is another one.

    Great for charging

It's so great for charging ipad. You don't need to bear wires massed up in your desk. But if it can adapt to any angle will be better.

Great Potential, but for Key Design Problem.

The key feature on this stand is the "Apple Smart Connector". This is the magnetically aligned and secured iPad "cover hinge” refined to also provide power & data. It’s what I consider Classic, Signature Apple product design / engineering. It's surprising and delightful to find something innovated with so much engineering, thought and expense to “solve” a problem we didn’t even know to complain about.

Your iPadPro will align with the connector as if an invisible force was guiding it and click into place securely, no extra charging cable to plugin!

Several details are well executed including, anodizing and chamfering of the aluminum, type of anti-slip rubber base and the plastic anti-scuff edging is affixed in a precision machined cutout edge mounted cleanly without screws. However…

The iPadPro’s will charge up to 10X faster (~1.5 hours) with a 29 Watt USB-C Power Adaptor versus 12+ hours (iPad screen on, 0% to 80%) with the under-powered 12 Watt Adapter that Apple ships standard with their Premium Professional iPad. Someone "contributed and saved tons of money!” at Apple. Well…

The Logi BASE Charging stand ONLY works at 12Watt MAX, yes, even if you plugin a 29 Watt Power Adaptor. Logi is upfront about this, and lists a few sample charging times but not where the problem originates on their website.

People get a $100 charge stand to simultaneously charge and power (use) their iPads. Unfortunately, you'll be lucky to get any additional charge as 12 Watts can barely keep up. The reviewers who wrote they received broken or defective stands, no your stand isn’t broken. Someone at Apple contributed by squeezing an extra $5 margin, thus millions of people suffer while Apple piles more Billions in profit and Jony Ive is too busy hanging out with cool people. Poor Steve…
