I'm not so sure about this one

Case just arrived today. I read all the one-star reviews before buying, decided to give it a whirl anyways. I'm coming from another Tech 21 case that I bought from my service provider -- no complaints about the function of my old case, but it had severely discolored within a couple months of use.

So I bought this one, and it just arrived. I am not impressed with the build quality...it looks and feels cheaper than my existing case and was about $10 more expensive to boot. The case was bent slightly coming out of the box, and examining it from all angles, there are several places where the plastic is slightly warped. For the price and the hype, I would expect this thing to be almost flawless, but this has the look and feel of something that should retail for maybe ten bucks.

So, as I'm sitting here side-eying this thing, and re-reading the other reviews that speak to its tendency to discolor quickly, along with the reports that it doesn't actually do much for protection...I'm pretty sure I'm going to send it straight back.

    Bummer.

    Worst Case EVER.

I had an iPhone 7. Key word:HAD. I bought this case because I heard that Tech21 was one of the best brands to buy from. It was not a cheap case to start out with, and when I placed it on my phone, I noticed it was VERY large. I kept it on though, because what's the point in buying an expensive case if you don't use it? Well, one day, I was walking, JUST WALKING, and I dropped my phone. I was like, "Whatever, not a big deal, after all I have this SUPER PROTECTIVE CASE THAT'S REALLY EXPENSIVE!" So, I picked up my phone, and BAM! There it was. A shattered screen. I felt betrayed. I ended up going to the AT&T store (they're my carrier) and little did I know that my iPhone 7 was payed off, and I was able to get the iPhone X for free. FOR FREE (I also got $100 for my old broken iPhone 7 because they were going to use it for parts). Ever since that moment, when I was gifted with the incredible iPhone X, I've used only OtterBox. And guess what? MY PHONE HASN'T CRACKED YET. Can you believe it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR PHONE ON THIS CASE!

    The worst case

The worst case you buy. The quality of the materials is very bad and the cover is useless. I dropped the phone only 1 time less than 1 meter and broke the screen. I always use tech21 but from this purchase I do not buy anymore.

    Terrible

I had the case for a full 24 hours and the rim looked trashed. I LOVE the look especially with the rose gold iphone 8 but going to return it. Too much money for that kind of performance.

White rim quickly absorbs colors of clothes.

I am not sure if there is a chemical reaction that makes the white rim on the front absorb colors from clothes when you have it in your pocket but it happens and quickly. I both this for my wife last Saturday and by the following Monday it looked bad! I wouldn’t buy this again if it was 5 dollars instead of $50.

Terrible Case, Plastic rim stretched out and discolored after 1 month

I bought this phone case with my iPhone 7 at the store 1 month ago. I was recommended this case as an equivalent to a Speck or Otterbox. I bought the silver/clear case. The white plastic around the rim has discolored to a gray color and will not clean. Picks up other pigment from jeans or bags easily. This plastic which lines the phone and protects it on the bottom edge is flimsy and stretched out after 1 month of use. I dropped my phone and the bottom corner was exposed due to this flaw and now there is a small crack. I would not recommend this case to anyone, it is no longer cute or functional (after 1 month of use)!
