Terrible Product - Terrible Customer Experience

Within a few months of purchasing and installing these $39 screen protectors for an iPhone 8 Plus and one for an iPhone 7 Plus at Apple, they cracked. All the prior screen protectors we had purchased on Amazon were less than $10 each and never, ever, cracked! Shame on Apple: as soon as the flood of negative reviews started to hit the internet, Apple should have protected it's customers by 1/ not recommending, not selling and not installing this unit, and 2/ working with Belkin to recall the units or extend warranty for Apple customers!

Cracks on day 1 — still applied as standard protect in Apple Store Brussels

This is the second time I'm being had at the Apple Store Brussels. I returned with a previous phone and they said screen protection was not covered. With a new phone, six months later, I thought they would have improved the product since, but same thing. What a waste of money.

    Do not buy.

    Terrible.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I blew $40! I bought this directly from Apple and had them install it, and it got a bubble under the screen within 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I live 80+ miles from the nearest Apple store, and somehow I got a tiny little nick on the edge, which has now spidered out across the screen protector throwing rainbows all over the screen. Don't worry, I also hated it before it got all jacked up. It doesn't go all the way to the edge of the screen, so there is a rainbow light around the right and left edges, which gave me a headache every time I tried to use my phone for the first week I had the protector. Do. Not. Buy.

Take your money and light it on fire

You're better off lighting your money on fire. Seriously this thing is a piece of flimy plastic that will break an hour after application.

    Dont buy

I had one for a while and it held up ok and then peeled back quickly around the button. I replaced a week and a half ago and somehow it is mysteriously cracked without me having ever dropped it at all or put against a hard surface. I thought it was a mosquito at first. Gonna hit up apple for another replacement. Piece of junk.

    Trash

I’ve had this for about a month and it chipped already. I’ve had it before and it cracked in the corner of the screen and continued to spread. A total waste of $40.

    DON'T BUY THIS

The worst is really frustrating, the product is of poor quality, the guarantee is only recognized in USA and with a local address they do not send replacements to hotels, and they do not provide any kind of solution, do not lose money any product in amazon is of Superior quality and give better guarantee BelkinCares does not provide any solution

    Not for IPhone8

Doesn't cover the screen fully and you can see the phone screen through the sides clearly. Since the screen protector itself is thicker and doesn't cover the screen fully, its really difficult to use the 3D Touch on the sides. Not worth spending 40$ for this.

Really disappointing to see Apple still selling this product despite bad reviews from almost everyone who purchased this.

    Shatters way too easily!

Like many other people in these reviews, my screen protector chipped and shattered in less than a month, and I didn't even drop my phone. It was just normal wear and tear. One minute my screen was fine, and a few minutes later, there were shatters across the screen. I contacted Belkin for a replacement, but even though the replacement product was called the "InvisiGlass Ultra," it was not the same thing. I don't think it even had glass in it, because it was super flimsy and felt like cheap plastic. All in all, this product is bad and Belkin support is bad, and I hope Apple stops carrying this and picks a better brand.

    Side chip

Got my iPhone 8 on Saturday. While I was sitting on my bed Sunday night a chip on the side magically appeared. NO drops whatsoever and it was laying on a soft surface. No I have cracks across the screen...I’ll try to get my money back and see how that goes. They REALLY talked it up in the store and apply it for you very well. But you’re better off getting something cheaper from Amazon, especially if you’re not one to drop your phone anyway.

    Cracked in about a week

I got a new iPhone since my old one kept resetting by itself. Decided to get the screen protector for the new phone at the Apple store since there was no reassurance that the old screen protector would be/look as good as new if placed it on the new phone and I didn’t want to go somewhere else when I could get one right then and there. But I should’ve looked more into it and read the reviews. It’s been maybe about a week since I’ve had it on my new phone and it has cracked on 2 different places, out of nowhere since I haven’t even dropped my phone. A waste of $42. My old iPhone had a screen protector I bought at T-mobile and I had dropped it getting out of my pocket and nothing happened to the screen protector.

    Lasted one month

I got my iPhone 8 the beginning of February and the protector already has cracks cover it when I have yet to knock on wood ever drop my phone. I think the cracks are from having it sitting next to my leg in a chair. One second they weren’t there then suddenly they were. Very disappointed. I would’ve gotten a better protector if the girl at Apple hadn’t recommended this one and I had known it was such poor quality . Apple please don’t carry brands who’s products have less than a 2 star rating.

    Waste of money

I had this installed at the Apple Store and I was told it would protect my screen and yet 3 weeks after having it installed my screen shattered again. This is a joke.

    If I could give 0 I would.

I bought this screen protector exactly a week ago with my screen replacement, expecting it to work well, and a couple days later there’s already a crack on the screen. Today I dropped my phone from less than 2 feet on the ground and my entire iPhone Screen shatters. This “screen protector” did nothing to protect my iPhone as I now have crack through the screen protector and onto my actual phone. Do not waste your money on this.

This is a rip off - Don't Waste Your Money on this screen protector

Okay, this is day two since I upgraded to iPhone 8, and went the extra mile with the in-store screen protector installed by the Apple representative using the small tablet with cover to install the screen protector on my phone.

This am, I find a chip on the side of the screen protector, and two large cracks across the screen and "NO" I didn't drop it!

I wish I had read these reviews before dropping (my hard earned) $40.00 on this product, what a terrible waste of money on a worthless product. What really chaffs me is the manner in which the product was talked up by the Apple representative, I want to trust these guys, but now I'm wondering "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"...(WTF!). I'm miffed, a new upgraded phone with screen protector and now I have to go through the hassle of getting this replaced just when I thought I was done with upgrading.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Apple, thank you for putting me back in touch with my emotions.

Belkin Glass Broke three days after I bought it.

I paid $40 for a Belkin glass for my iPhone 7 and had the apple store install it. Three days later it cracked and chipped on all sides. I got it replaced after a lengthy back and forth email with Belkin that lasted one month and received my screen two weeks later. Then it was broken again after 1 day!!! This is ridiculous and I got no response from Belkin, Apple pulled the product but now I’m stuck with it, I upgraded to the iPhone X and will be using the gadget guard instead as it has a warrany that replaces my
iPhone Apple screen if it cracks. Disgusting craftsmanship and poor customer service. Waste of money. Don’t do it.

Screen Protector glass is not durable

Both my wife and I have replaced the screen protector glass on our iPhone 8's with this in store product from Belkin and its cracked again (that's 4 screen protectors) within a few weeks. It's a very cheap product that has no durability. It's installed using a machine in the store, which is why people and Apple seem to use it. But its a poor product.
