Worst Product I have bought. Do not waste your money

After two days it worked, and then stopped. Woeful readings! Not accurate. When out of bed did not recognise my return back to bed. Heart monitor ... what heart monitor. Rubbish! The app looks great that is all that looks good. The sensors are inadequate. Nothing advertised works.

This is the worst technology launched in ten years. Jobs would rolll in his grave if this product ever renamed.

This is fake equipment and we are product testing a fake good. This should be removed from sale. A disgrace. I want my money back. Stick to Under Armour. Their product works.

    Stopped working.

At first it was ok, although I had trouble learning to interpret the charts. Then the problems started. It recorded me out of bed far longer than I actually was. I tried moving the sensor strip quite a few times without any effect. Then it got worse. It started to record my heart beat erratically even while it was recording my sleep state. Some nights I had no heart beat at all and others it beat for only a few minutes. The sleep state recording then became erratic showing a tiny amount of sleep, just above the bottom line, then showing such deep sleep that it was off the charts by at least double the max it could display. I tried to find a number to call but couldn't and just stopped using it. Today, about a month later I called Apple chat and got Beddit's support email address. (There was no one to talk to.) I had already had hassles with another company's support and was feeling bad, so figured I couldn't feel worse by adding another consumer support call. Now I am waiting for a reply. It did work for a while and I am willing to try again if they replace/fix it. If they do, I will modify this review. BTW I believe Apple owns Beddit.

Very polished, but lacks depth and accuratesse

The Beddit3 is a very non-intrusive sleep monitor. You don't feel the strip you are sleeping on at all. The app where the tracked data can be analysed looks polished and is easy to understand and use, but the amount of data is a bit of let down:
Why track every heartbeat during your sleep and then only give an average?
Why track every breath during your sleep and then only give a minute average? If you can track breaths, you should be able to track breathing stops as well, which would make the beddit invaluable for apnea diagnosis.
Why track your snoring and show it as little meaningless red dots? Where's the loudness indicator?

I returned the Beddit because it didn't notice I was out of bed and couldn't notice if I was awake or not. It also had very infrequent heartbeat trackings. This meant I couldn't take any measuring seriously. From the reviews I saw, it's a bit of a hit or miss whether it will work for you or not.

What exactly is this supposed to do?!?!

In short this is a piece of junk - Beddit seems to base its "sleep score" on how long you lie in bed - I could be up all night lying in bed and still get a score of 95%... the "insights" are useless... "try getting a good night's sleep to feel refreshed" sort of stuff...

Also, if you have two beds ( a vacation home for example) you have to re-pair with your phone each time (no auto discover) which is annoying.

Quite good but needs some development

The sleep monitor does work, but a couple of things annoy me.

Firstly keeping the monitor in place on my mattress doesn't work very well. Maybe a fitted sheet would hold it down better, but I have flat sheets and the monitor doesn't stay put all night. If I move around a lot at night the monitor is quite often bunched up under me in the morning ... that surely doesn't help with good sleep!

Secondly, it seems that if I spend 7 hours in bed I get a good sleep score, regardless of how many times I've woken up or had restless sleep through the night. I didn't need to spend a lot of money to tell me that spending longer in bed is better!! I now ignore the sleep score and look at the graph of how I slept. The sleep score impacts on any tags applied though - so, because I often spend longer in bed because I've had a bad night, some of the tags that I've applied to describe why I had a bad night have positive values attributed to them!

In the month that I've been using beddit I haven't had a night where I've woken up feeling like I had a really good night's sleep, so I haven't been able to see the difference from a normal night, but the data is interesting. I'm tempted to swap it over to my husband's side of the bed soon to prove he snores!!!

    better sleep brings better health

Excellent. I have been using beddit for almost a year, it stopped pairing when I acquired an iPhone 7. They have an excellent service, I was sent immediately the new beddit 3. Though I liked the previous version, this new one is totally upgraded, easy to install and the app is very friendly and professional. I think we all need one to improve our sleeping habits and as consequence boost our energy. I could improve my Rem sleep. I recognized the importance of a better quality sleep, as we spend about a third of our life sleeping.

Beddit app provides my first reading in the morning

The best two things with Beddit are that it monitors the heart rate unobtrusively and tries to estimate the true sleeping time. The heart rate seems to be rather accurate and indicates rather reliably the quality of sleep. It would be good to be able to delete incomplete days from the history, since they confuse the overall picture. Sometimes monitoring gets interrupted for unknown reasons, but it happens not often. The warranty service of Beddit worked very well, when the bluetooth connection went dead. When the new app version recently called for a new Beddit model, the company sent it for free. Great. The whole package is recommendable.

    Vague instructions

Had device 1 full week. Thus far, it won't work automatically despite my following instructions to the letter. Biggest problem is getting Notes/Tags to work. Beddit supplies a video that "explains" the process, but their advice doesn't seem to apply to mine.
DON'T buy this if you've only an iPad. To date, theres NO app in the store that will work. I worked with an Apple Lvl 2 supervisor who couldn't find it.
Like that 4K LG monitor Apple sold, this product appears to be something they should have avoided.

    Beddit - Great

Beddit3 is not only an improvement oven the previous unit, but made by a company that stands behind its products and customer service. My previous unit was a replacement for one that failed some time ago. The company made sure that I was sent a new unit in the return mail. That's awesome service. My current Beddit 3 was sent free when the company ceased support for Beddit 2. What a pleasant surprise to learn of this no-cost upgrade from the company directly. I have been using the Beddit 3 for about a month, and find it wonderfully responsive to my sleep cycles. I am a very satisfied customer that strongly recommends Beddit 3 and has first-hand experience with this company to assure you of trouble-free operation and service.

    Accurate, but disables AirPods

If you're like me and listen to podcasts while laying in bed, you'll be disappointed. Beddit disables any Bluetooth headphones (including AirPods). This is a bit of a deal-breaker.

The information design here is nice, although not nearly enough is made of the breathing analysis. In comparing Beddit to AutoSleep - the fantastic Apple Watch sleep tracker - I found only minor discrepancies between the two. Beddit monitors your breathing, which AutoSleep doesn't track, yet Beddit only gives this a general overview instead of in-depth data charting. Where Beddit really shines is its software. Being able to note & tag daily activities really helps you discover patterns in what may be helping or hindering your sleep. I'd like to see this be a bit more automated, but the industry is slow on the uptake here.

Overall pretty good. But the headphone thing is a nonstarter, unfortunately.

One of the best sleep trackers

    Great sleep tracker!
You don't need to wear anything, just go to sleep.
Afters several first nights with manually turning sleep tracking on and off it will start working in automatic mode so all you need to do it put iPhone on charge and go to sleep, the app will start tracking sleep automatically.
I'm one of original backers of this product and still using it, now their last 3rd model.

    Great Sleep Device and App

I have been using the Beddit Sleep monitor now for about 5 months. It was easy to install and setup so that it works properly with my sleep position. It provides some very valuable data about your sleep and how deep of sleep you are able to get. I have even used the data to share it with my doctor so he knows how my sleep quality has been over the last several months.

The only thing I wish I was able to do was to export or print the data to make it easier to work with and share to medical providers.

    Luv My Beddit 3

The Beddit 3 works great and provides excellent feedback on my quality of sleep. I love the tips it provides on things that can assist in getting better sleep. The device is excellent quality and a great upgrade from the original Beddit I had. I recommend this to anyone that wants good feedback on their sleeping patterns. I'm definitely a very happy customer.

Valuable sleep data; easy to use, and excellent customer service

Beddit 3 is simple to use and combines just the right amount of sensitivity to gather meaningful data about my sleep. I am a shift worker and with such a variety in my sleeping schedules learning more about the relationship between various daily factors and sleep quality has been very valuable. I share a bed with my wife and the device has no trouble determining my movements from my spouse's as there is no noticeable difference is sleep measurements taken when I am in bed alone or not. On the customer service side of things, when I had a question about the device I received an immediate and helpful reply. Overall, I am certainly a happy Beddit customer.

    Great product

Beddit has helped me get better sleep by showing me better sleep habits. I did a sleep study that ended with a cpap prescribed for me to get better sleep. Tried it for weeks but never sleep good till I got my Beddit1. I slowly started watching what I ate and drank before going to bed and Beddit gave me a grade on how well I slept and let me make adjustments for better sleep. I started out with scores in the low 50's and now I am in the mid 90's. I feel so much better and finally feel rested. I no longer use the cpap since a nightly decongestant works for me. For me this has been a great product well worth the price! I have not had any connection problems but I always use the manual connect and not the automatic side. I always like to get my sleep score when I get up. Give it a try but keep a diary as to what you do,eat, and drink before bed and see how well you score. Good luck!

    I love my Beddit 3

I'm enjoying my Beddit Sleep Tracker because it helps me see the efficiency of my sleep. The quality (efficiency) of sleep is just as important as the number of hours of sleep. Beddit also helps me see my sleep patterns and what times of the night I get my best sleep.

    Very detailed monitoring!

The level of information the Beddit can provide is surprising.

I really enjoy how the app links up with the iPhone health app to show you all your vitals.

You can even put in notes for each night of sleep to track other aspects of your behavior.

Had a couple drinks that night, what impact did that have on your depth of sleep or your heart rate while sleeping?

You'll be able to know! And I really enjoy the new update that provides the room temperature and humidity to track those influences as well. I'm curious with the summer approaching, how impactful the hotter temperatures will be on my quality of sleep.

Would recommend to anyone who wants accurate information of their sleeping behavior.

Works well although it fails occasionally on always on but I am sure this will be remedied in a future update. Greatly improved from the previous model.
