Received this as a gift (instead of the fujifilm insta max i had wanted) because it would be easier to print from my phone rather than carring a camera around. When I first tried to print something, it didn’t work so I brought it back to the store hoping to get store credit. When we tested it in the store, it worked so I’m assuming that the printer doesn’t work when I’m on wifi. I have the iPhone 6 and the camera isnt the greatest so I printed a picture that was professionally taken to test the quality. The picture quality is awful; the color is off and its somewhat blurry. I can’t return it now that it’s been used unfortunately so that’s $130 down the drain.

    Could be better

Very excited when I received this as a present. I loved the idea of printing videos BUT photos come out very grainy and colour is slightly off. Not very pleased - please find a way of fixing and improving this in a new update.

Very poor quality prints of photos - taking it back to get a refund

Great idea to have a portable printer which can create hard copy photographs of videos or Live Photos which come to life when you view them through the app, however the colour in the actual prints is terrible. Muddy colours and a dull overall look. When it is all said and done, this is a printer. What's the point if the prints are poor quality. When I watched the Apple employee demonstrate the store printer I assumed that the dull colours in his photo was due to the delay in the colour intensifying, which I had read about. At home I kept waiting for my photo prints to continue developing intensity but they all remained lifeless after a couple of hours and in no way reflected the true colours of the photos. I even printed two identical photos - one with the app editing feature to enhance it and the other without. They look identical. For example, the photo is of a child wearing a hot pink troll wig. In both prints the wig comes out a dull maroon. I was prepared for the tiny size of the prints as I'd read the information from Apple and Life Print's own site, but I'd suggest to Life Print that they consider making the option for larger size prints, and definitely improve the print quality. The app works well for me and the instruction were good. I hope this company does well, but they need to up their game to compete with other printers. The gimmick of the prints "coming to life" or being able to share prints with friends who also have a Life Print printer won't get them by.
