    Poor Design

The case didn't EVEN FIT my MacBook pro, also making it impossible to open the screen to more than a 90 degree angle. Definitely a mistake.

    Poor case

I guess you can see it in the photo, but I wasn't aware that the case has "dots" for the design. I got the "clear" for my 2017 Macbook Pro and it's not really that see-through due to the dots design. The top part of the case falls off all of the time, making it really annoying to use. If you tilt the screen, your fingers will accidentally pop the case off. Also, stickers hardly ever stay on the case. Overpriced and not worth it.

Good Fit but Cracks appeared in less than 3 months

Bought my laptop for school. Bought this case to "protect" my laptop from scratches. Opted for this 50 dollar case that Apple sells instead of the 10-20 dollar ones from amazon that showed good reviews cause i thought that if Apple was selling it, it must be of good quality.

    I WAS WRONG.

Bought the case in July. I only brought my laptop to school ONCE, and I was very careful when I did. Later that night, saw that the bottom case had cracks on each corners. How did I get those cracks? I never dropped my laptop, nor have I put it in a situation that would cause those cracks.

Im just gonna buy a sleeve. No point in spending on these hardshell cases.

    Wouldn't recommend

I wouldn't recomend this sleeve. I bought it and i tried to retun it but it was over by 4 days, the 14 day policy at Apple wouldn't make an acception. So i got stuck with a case that kept crackimg and chipping on every corner. when you open your laptop they made no room so the laptop hits it and then cracks start to happen. I suggest staying away from SPECK mac book products.

    Meh

So I got the new MacBook Pro 13" for my birthday back in April. Everything was going great. Well, two weeks ago my laptop dropped, the case broke and now my laptop is also dented/damaged. So this doesn't offer any protection and it breaks. Really unfortunate since I've only had my laptop for 3 months.

    Great Case

I also have to comment on the statement that it doesn't fit. Which is not correct. It may be that the reviewer had installed it in reverse orientation. The case is slim and won't add weight to the unit. I previously had a case that while seeming slim, had enough weight to make the lid shut if it was tilted down halfway as you do for privacy. I did not think of that previous case as heavy, but compared to this one, it certainly seems so. This case does not have that adverse effect. I also have a skin on the lid of my MacBook Pro. The previous case was totally smooth on the underside so would stick to the skin, the look would be like the underside of a sticker on glass. This case has very very tiny bumps to give a nice feel to it, it also has the benefit one not allowing the case to "stick" to the lid and base. its secure, just not sucking on for dear life. If you're considering a case as someone who had previous cases from other retailers, this is the best one yet.

    Seems Decent

Snaps on and its a good fit. Adds some weight but I like that the weight closes the screen easier. I've only had it on for a week or two but I think the snaps might wear easy if you take it on and off.

Honestly only wrote this review because I read that it would limit the opening to only 90* but my case opens all the way to the full limit of the screen. Could be a fix from early release?

    Not a good design

This product has a design problem. The case fits well and the quality is ok but you can not open the laptop with the case on more than 90 degrees, so you have to compromise functionality vs protection. Not a good design.
