    Charging Base Efficacy

It is strange to read a number of negative commentaries for this product.

I have several white colored charging pads by Belkin and several black colored charging pads also by Belkin, and they all seem to function well, although somewhat slow. For the overnight charging they work fine. Both I phone 8 and I phone X models’ batteries replenish their power to completion. The black colored pads are advertized to work with other brand name telephones as well. Indicator light is helpful. These pieces of equipment are not overpriced for their functionality. Even if Apple finally releases their own charging base, Belkin pads work quite all right for their purpose, and I am inclined to keep them.

Again, it’s unusual to see negative commentaries. All Belkin products have proven reliable for me.

    Gets the job done.

My wife and I each own an 8 plus and we both enjoy and use the Belkin. We've had no problems since purchasing last December and plan to buy a second so that we don't fight over who gets to the one we already have. :-)

    Don't Waste Your Money

It does not work well. I purchased this charger last night. It barley charges I had my phone on the charger all night and the battery didn't get to over 50%. I am returning this device today!

    Waste of time and money

I bought this thinking it would be great to use instead of charging cords boy I was wrong. It doesn’t work with my phone case. After taking off the case and placing the phone on the charger my iPhone 8 kept sliding off the charging pad. It also didn’t connect after placing it back on pad. I do not want to remove case every time I want to charge my phone so I will return it and just use the regular charging cord at least that way I know my phone is actually charging

WARNING: Garbage - DONT NOT BUY!!!!

I bought four of these for my wife and I to use at work and home. We both have the iPhone X.

This thing will only charge the device for a short period of time, but never will it finish a charge. I let it sit on the charging pad all night and wake up to 40% charge on my phone. I have tried with each charging pad, same result.

I tossed the boxes and cannot return the product, so I am out $240. What a rip off, especially at the $60 price tag.
Belkin, SHAME on you taking advantage of customers like this. Where is the QA testing?

I have always liked your products, but now you lost a customer for life. I feel violated.

    Worthwhile purchase

I own two of these. The separate plug-in cord disappears into the base, but the horizontal length of the charger could be shorter (it takes up the space of two sockets of a power strip).

The tiny green led light on the charging pad is very helpful in indicating when my iPhone X is placed correctly and charging (the light is strong enough to be seen in daylight, but weak enough to stay discrete at night). The iPhone X vibrates once and briefly shows the battery indicator when beginning to charge. The iPhone X also charges wirelessly through a thick cow-leather case while on the pad.

The inner rubber ring of the charging pad keeps the iPhone in place and prevents it from sliding on the pad. The pad is light-weight white plastic, nothing special to write home about: the top is matte, the bezel and sides are shiny. On my desk, the charger is usually not in use, therefore I appreciate that the white color blends in with the whiteness of the Ikea desk.

By the way, Belkin has nice and well-designed packaging.

    Useless for iPhone X

    Quite simply.....doesn’t work.
I called belkin support and they said the base needs to charge for 2-3 hrs!! And if that doesn’t work return for a replacement as it should work with iPhone X. It’s getting returned alright but I’ll never buy another belkin product again. Stay away...wait for Apple Air Power!

    Effective, user friendly wireless charging.

I tested this wireless charging base and the mophie. Both perform the same in my two weeks of testing, for the same price. There are limitations to the wireless technology, requiring specific (though not too specific) placement. But these reflect the state of the tech and are not a big deal—you get used to it, and wireless is far easier then fumbling with a cable.

I chose the Belkin over the mophie because the Belkin has an indicator light that clearly shows when the iPhone is placed well and charging. The mophie had a light, but very small and dim and hard to see. That is the only differentiatior to me.

    Awesome Charger

Works amazing on my iPhone 8+. I don't need to take my Otterbox Defender case off either. It communicates to the phone right through it. Love the green LED light too. Lets you know that the phone is on correctly and being charged.

    do not buy this

I've had this charger for a few months. I would estimate that it charges no more than 30% of the time on my iPhone X. This is using either the genuine apple silicon case or an even thinner third-party one. I bought the $9.99 charging pad from monoprice and it works 100% of the the time. I regret buying this piece.

    Really Great but some problems

The wireless Charging Pad is really great but its really slow when charging. I contacted Belkin support they told me that the reason why its not fast charging is due to the case. The Thicker the case the longer it takes. When I took of my case and put the phone on the pad it charges really quick. Thats the only down side, if you want fast charging you have to take off the case, but if your willing to wait you could leave the case.

    Great Charging pad!

Works great for me. I purchased this over 2 months ago and still works just like new. My iPhone 8 Plus charges fast. Between both charging pads I own Belkin beats Mophie for larger size iPhones.

    Works as advertised

The only thing I really like about this is the color. It matches my bedroom well. Outside of that, you can find much cheaper options that do the same job. The 7.5 watt charging is not noticeable.

Does exactly what you need it to.

Fast wireless charging. The color is pretty bright, so you can see it in a dimly lit room. The LED indicator light is pretty hand. It seems to need the phone to be placed in a specific way to get it to charge. I wouldn't mind if the pad was a little bit bigger, or more usable space in the size it is now.

    Waste of money and space

I found no advantage to owning this wireless charger. It saves you the trouble of having to insert a charging cord but then requires you to precisely place the phone in the exact center of the pad. Given that requirement, it would make a lot more sense to just design the pad to match the exact dimensions of the phone. It also takes up space unnecessarily. Stick with the simplicity of a cord.

    Great for iPhone 8 only....

Charger works great for iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus. However iPhone X does not fit well on it as the camera bump does not sit on the charger well. It makes the X rather slippery and difficult to put on the right position on the charger. How the iPhone 8 fits very snuggly on it.
If you have an iPhone X, the Mophie charger does the job much better.
