Doesn't work if you have a case on it or if it isn't in just the right spot.
Once you have it there, it does charge quickly.
I would not recommend this item.

Wireless charging base (support slow charging)

    • Written by Yulita K from Ungaran

I bought mophie wireless charger for my iphone 8 plus, it does work as a charger. But not as a fast charging pad. It's even slower than the lightning cable from the phone. Some people said that we need to update to iOS 11.2. I did, and stil very slow. The good things are it works as a charging base, not slippery because of the rubber on the pad, not heavy, has LED light, and the design is simple. But again, why do they advertise about fast charging??? It takes so much time just to charge a phone. Disappointed.

Not a very good product at all

    • Written by Aaron H from New York

This product just doesnt work sometimes. I really cannot explain it. I regret buying it. Wireless charging may sound cool, and it is, for 5-10 minutes after you buy it.

    My iPhone 8 slides off

    • Written by Larey K from Fort Collins

I like the small size and low profile. I had three in different rooms and with two of them, the phone will very slowly slide to one side. After 15-30 minutes the phone is no longer in the sweet spot and charging stops. I think it's because two of my locations are ever so slightly un-level, but chargers from 2 other manufacturers work just fine in the same places.

    Not so good

    • Written by Connor D from West unity

I have had this product for over a month and I have had a problem with it. This started to occur a week or two ago the light on the bottom of the pad it indicates that the phone is charging well it flashed 4 or 5 times and the light would completely turn off and my phone would light up letting me know that it’s not charging and the light would come back on and it would start charging again and it would do that all the time when my iPhone was charging on the charger pad and my iPhone would not be completely charged in the morning and when I put the iPhone on the pad it is under 100% so I hope apple sees this and helps me with my problem and also the iPhone was on the pad correctly too

    Do not waste your money!

    • Written by aveena E from Carmichael

I bought this 2 weeks ago and it has only worked for me twice. When it does work it charges slower than with the cord! I have tried multiple times for this to work and it rarely does. I unplug it, change outlets, take the case off my phone, etc and it still never works. I have caused to damage on this so it truly is just a bad product. I thought the people who were saying this doesnt work just werent doing it right, but no... this is just a product. Considering that I bought the iPhone 8 plus because it can use wireless chargers, I am upset that it doesnt even work!

    Exact position

    • Written by Jonathan G from Bettendorf

I just bought a mophie wireless charger for my iPhone 8 Plus and was very disappointed by how exact your phone had to be on the charger for it to work. If it is just a few millimeters off, it won’t charge the phone. I wish I would’ve gotten the Belkin Boost-Up wireless charger instead.

When phone stays on charger, works great, but almost every night, phone slips off charger. iPhone X just won’t stay on. Needs better gripping material.

    Takes too long to charge

    • Written by JOELLE A from Coon Rapids

I like the look and feel of the Mophie wireless charge and was super excited about this when I bought the phone, but was quickly disappointed at how long it took to charge my phone. I would say that plugging my phone is about 40% faster charge than the pad. I brought the pad into work because if I'm just sitting at my desk, I can still see and use my phone on the pad, but at home I can't, so I will still use a cord to charge at home.

I have a Tech 21 case for my iPhone 8 Plus and while that may hinder charging time, the developer should have thought of that since the so many people have cases for their phones and don't take them out daily to charge. It is more economical to buy a charging case and then plug it in than to buy this case just to NOT plug it in. If this didn't come with my phone, I would be returning it pronto.

Short cord, no USB, slow charging.
It's a nice-to-have piece of charger, you get faster charging with your regular cable (on your computer, or wall), and even faster if you use an iPad charger. This one doesn't do much unless you're home and not needing a full charge before heading out. Not a good time to buy yet. It says it will allow fast-charging in the future with software update, but until then it's not worth it.

Not the time saver I had hoped

    • Written by David H from Odenton

I bought this thinking I could toss my phone on the pad and not have to fumble for the charging cord and find the port in the dark. Turns out this is just as obnoxious. My iPhone 8 plus has to be positioned perfectly on the pad (slightly lower than center), and the only notification I have that this is done properly is my phone’s audio - there’s no light. I just now spent 5 minutes trying to perfectly place my phone to charge, and instead finally realized the pad isn’t functioning right now. Is it broken? I have no idea because there are no lights or anything.

    Not my favorite

    • Written by Rugen A from Bellevue

I was hoping to love the ease of using this base, but I do not. It is overpriced for a product that works moderately well. There are times it charges perfectly and fairly quick and other times it starts to charge and then just stops. I will hear it stop and start charging several times and then stop completely. This is when the phone is centered on the pad, without a case on it, and with nothing around it to interfere.
