Excellent product - don't be fooled by cheaper chargers and bogus reviews

Please avoid the haters. I bought one of these a few weeks ago after a disastrous experience trying one of the 'generic' Qi chargers primarily meant for Samsung products that I got at another retailer that did NOT work. This worked very well right out of the box on my iphone X...even through an otterbox and it isn't picky about placement of the phone on the pad quite like the Belkin or others. I use it nightly as my main charger and love it. The complains about the size of the plug are crazy. If you are using multiplug adapters, yes, you may have an issue with the width of the wall plug obstructing the adjacent outlet on your strip. I have an easy solution for that: use a larger strip or, even better, don't plug so many things into your adapter! I enjoy this o much that I don't use the regular lightning charger anymore at all. Since the iphone X battery is incredible compared to the experiences I had with my 6plus, I can say that charging overnight isn't an issue with me because my phone holds a solid charge all day long. No, I'm not a "fanboy." I just like my products to work, and the Samsung type ones did NOT work for me....didn't put out enough current so they would keep powering on/off, potentially damaging the battery/electronics inside your new phone! The Morphie charges through an otterbox with no problems...a good, solid charge. No worries about overheating of the phone or charger pad either. There is a reason Apple stores use these in the their set-up stations near the genius bars.

    Works perfectly

I received this as a gift from a family member and after about a month of daily use, it’s still working great! The iPhone X does need to be centered on it for a charge to start, but centering it is fairly easy. I’d say I’m only off center enough that it doesn’t charge maybe one out of every ten first tries. I instantly know if it’s centered and charging when I place it on because a light on the base turns on, and the iPhone indicates charging started. With the base now supporting faster charging, it seems to charge faster than the wired charger that came with my iPhone. It also charges through my Apple silicone case.

    Works Great

I got a Mophie charger when I got my iPhone X. It works great and is unobtrusive sitting on the nightstand. I am going to buy one for my wife. The only caveat is the phone needs to be pretty much centered on the pad to charge.

I charge my phone at night so I don't really care how long it takes.

    Great Product

I read some of the reviews before buying this product and had some concerns based on a few of the reviews I read but after using it for a while I can’t fault this product. It holds the iPhone well with rubber so it won’t slip, I haven’t had an issue with my iPhone not charging, you just need to make sure the Apple logo on the back aka the middle of the phone is towards the centre of the charger. And as for people saying it’s slow, yes that’s true but it’s only 7.5w. This charger should be placed by a bed or on your office desk to charge over night or while you are working, it doesn’t claim to be a fast wirless charger. Im certain 7.5 is the fastest the iPhone supports currently anyway. I like the sleek look of this charger, it has a low profile and therefor is understated and doesn’t stand out to much. I bought myself one and went back and bought another as a gift for Christmas.

Works great through an otter box defender

It works great. If you have the 11.2 update it enables the faster charging which isn't as fast as using the cable but plenty fast for overnight charging or just lallygagging at home or work.

    Nice Charger

This is a nice wireless charger. It's base is rubber coated which means your phone won't slip or vibrate off. I have an Apple leather case on my phone and it charged my phone with the case on without any problems. I would recommend this charger. Note: this will only charge iPhone 8 and X. It will not charge the Apple watch.

Works as advertised and the build quality is very good.

This is so much nicer than wearing out my lightning adapter plugging and unplugging all of the time. The unit is solidly built and is a good size for my iPhone X. It works great and haven't had any issue with it at all. One misconception I'm seeing is that this is a quick charger. It's rated at 7.5w which is what is approved by Apple at this time. Faster charging can be had with a lightning cable and 12w USB adapter plug if you need the speed. For those having problems getting the phone to charge at all might check the type of phone case they're using as some aren't conducive to Qi charging. I use a Speck phone case for anyone curious. Great product in my opinion.

    Best!

Yes this item is more expensive than ones you can find on Amazon but it feels very solidly built, works as expected with no weird humming noise and the light does not light up an entire room when charging. It sits right next to my bed while sleeping and I don't even know the light is on.

Great wireless charging pad! Worth the money (in my opinion). So much so, I bought two (one for work, one for home).

    Great

My girlfriend got me one for Xmas to go with the new iPhone 8. Very small and compact, feels very well built. Surface is rubberized to reduce scratches and the phone from sliding. Very small led light to show you it’s charging. Works great through my otter box case, just set it down and walk away. Love it!!

Excellent wireless charger for Iphone 8 plus and iphone x

I have been using this charger for a couple months now with no problems at my desk and bedside table. Place phone down on pad and slowly slide down or up until phone vibrates indicating it is charging. I have never had a problem getting phone to start charging using this technique. There is a subtle white led light that indicates charging is occuring that does not bother me at all while trying to sleep. I have used otterbox statement, commuter and defender cases for the iphone 8plus and all of them charged through the case. The iphone x has the defender case and also charges through the case.

    Quality all around

I’m not sure why people are complaining so much about the mophie charger.
Very well built as always. No unnecessary extras. It just does what it suppoded to do. Charge your phone wirelessly. Now with the new 11.2 update it supports fast charging at 7.5 watts. I have a spigen case and no need to remove it. Phone does not get hot and charges without stopping .A very discret white light that will not disturb you at night. Commes with ac adapter..

    Perfect

FINALLY, wireless charging for iPhone! This Mophie charging pad works flawlessly with my iPhone X. I have the Apple leather case as well as the silicone case and with both it instantly begins charging as soon as I put the phone on the pad. Some of the previous reviewers said you have to put the phone “exactly” in the right spot for it to charge. That’s not my experience. I’ve found that you just have to put it down somewhere in the “ballpark” of the center of the pad and it begins charging. A nice touch is the subtle white light on the side of the charger that lets you know it’s charging. I wouldn’t be without this thing!

    Extremely convenient charging alternative.

I love this base. I bought it because I have an Otterbox Defender on my iPhone X (Can't take any chances...lol) and I hate having to open the dust port over and over to charge, it eventually starts to deteriorate and look a mess. This is perfect because I can just put it down and it charges with no fuss. Seems to be as fast as an outlet so far. Highly recommend. Very happy that it works with my defender, one of the larger bulkier cases on the market.

Morphie or Belkin, both work as predicted, dispite avg. below avg. reviews

Purchased this charging base in addition to the Belkin model sight unseen to make sure I had at least one on hand when I would finally receive my new IPhone X, which arrived 14 November, after pre-ordering 27 October. So comparing the Belkin versus the Morphie, not much difference as far as what they are designed to do, at present they both charge at the same rate, half battery, around 2 hours, each has an LED indicator letting you know when the phone has captured the charging coil on the base, the LED on the Belkin is more visible as Belkin installed the indicator on the top of the unit and Morphie installed their indicator on the bottom lip of the charging pad, and you really only notice it coming on in a reflection of a mirrored or glass type table or stand. The physical size of the base is bigger on the Belkin, but the area of the charging coil is exactly the same, meaning the phone needs to be placed at or about the center of the whichever charging pad you are using even though the surface area on the Belkin is larger. Both charging bases have detachable and proprietary plugs, the Belkin adapter is long but narrow, the Morphie adapter is more square, neither are overly huge, last item, I use an Otterbox Defender series plastic/rubber case to protect my iPhone X, in addition to a front and back tempered glass protection shield, I have not encountered any problems with charging my phone on either charging base, the general rules, no metal case on the rear of the phone and max thickness is 3 MM, I recommend good quality tempered glass protection on both front and back of phone.

    Works great!

First off, I don't think this product is pricey. I'm not sure where that critque comes from. Initially, I scoffed at charing my iPhone wirelessly. My original attitude was "how lazy can someone be"? Just plug your iPhone in and let it charge. But I decided to give this a try after fumbling with my iPhone in the dark to unplug it from the power adapter. I love it. I use my iPhone as my alarm clock, and it's now much easier to grab my iPhone and shut off the alarm. I'm going to buy a second one to use at my desk in my home office. I like the construction, and the rubberized top that prevents my iPhone from sliding. It works great with my Apple silicon cases. I'm not sure how well it will work with other cases, but I don't care, since I have no intrest in buying any of the really tacky looking third party cases.

Nice and subtle wireless charging a breeze

Great weight to stay where you put it and soft matte rubber coating. Goes almost unnoticed on a night stand or side table. Charges great, and cant wait for the faster charging on this to be enabled.
