Audiophiles !!! These buds sound so d!'mned SEXY!

    • Written by Alec S from Cary

March 17th 2019 ... They had a charge out the box but I plugged them in for 30 minutes while I sat in Barnes & Noble sipping my drink. I downloaded the Bose app onto my Xsmax. No issue, 30 seconds or less. Opened the app and opened the buds charger. It was so simple. The app and the phone did EVERYTHING!!! Now the Bose app ran/runs fine. However, I have a DENON EQ app loaded as well. Hahahahahahahaha ... There were no hiccups people! Everything meshed, WELL ! And as I sipped my drink, as I looked through the NYTimes, as I listened to Saint Saen's Dance Macabre, Rachmaninoff's 2nd Concerto, Jim Morrison's Maggie McGill and Spanish Caravan. . . I was blown away! I did watch the Game of Thrones trailer. No lag. (2) hours later no ear pain. Get these buds. They work ... WELL !!

I was hesitant in buying these because of some of the reviews about how they sync with video but decided to take a chance when I found a GREAT deal and am not disappointed! I did a software/firmware update available through the Bose Connect app shortly after taking them out of the package but these have great range, great sound, and no problems with video sync on my iPad Pro 12.9” or my iPhone 6S Plus. I am a professional Musican and college professor and the sound on these is pretty darn good. You still get some ambient noise but not as much as you would think. It doesn’t take long to charge the ear buds and if you have them in the case and the case needs to be charged, you can plug the case into the wall and the ear buds will charge first and then the case which is a nice feature since the case can continue to charge even after the ear buds come out. This is a pretty solid option. I use them on my stationary bike to watch movies or while working around the house. It is true that the phone calls come through the right ear only but I can live with that. I have a set of Bose QC35 headphones I was using before this and the sound quality of these is better as is the range. I haven’t had any issues with the left ear bud fading out like some have mentioned but much of that has been dealt with by updating the software and firmware through the Bose Connect app.

Blows Away the Sound of Apple AirPods

    • Written by William C from Nashville

The difference between the Bose and Apple AirPods is like switching between AM and FM radio. AirPods are clear and crisp, but are shallow on depth. The Bose has a rich full sound, plus a stunning amount of low bass for such a small headset. Try AirPods and Bose side by side in the store - the difference is a huge WOW!

    Excellent wireless earbuds

    • Written by Robert W from Hastings On Hudson

It’s pretty silly at this point that so many reviews (pretty much all the negative ones) are complaints about erratic connectivity. I got mine around May ‘18 and tried them without running the recent update from Bose that was specifically intended to address this problem and, sure enough, I had the same experience that all the complaints described. Then I ran the update and since then the buds work perfectly without a single instance of losing a connection in either one or both buds, unless you walk so far away that you just wind up out of the otherwise impressive range. As far as sound and comfort, 5 stars. The sound is almost if not as good as the top of the line QC wired series, but without the active noise cancellation which isn’t desirable for working out - running, biking, etc. With the available update from early ‘18 and the probability that recently shipped buds come pre-corrected, Bose SoundSport Free Wireless is simply another great product from Bose and, IMO, a good value as well.
P.S., almost needless to say, the comfort and simplicity of finding the best fit is a breeze. Only thing left is for Bose to offer these in a noise canceling version, as the current top of the line in-ear model just doesn’t cut it with that neck harness. But I’m sure Bose already knows that..

    Great earphones, Great sound

    • Written by roberto V from Van nuys

I bought’em two months ago and so far I lovem.

    Great sound .
Don’t fall that easy from your ear (great for running).
Amazing battery live (about 4 or 5 hours) .
    Quick charge .

Sound is delayed when playing youtube videos .( I don’t mind it, but some people do)
Bulky (they are a little big).
Sometimes the left bud disconnects from the right one.(rarely)..

P.s bose keeps releasing firmware updates to address some of the issues.

    Excellent all around

    • Written by Jeremy D from Richmond Heights

Purchased these headphones 3 months ago and have regularly used them to work up and also work around the yard. No complaints here, they stay connected well with my iPhone X and have a really long battery life. Sound quality is what you would expect from a Bose product! Will be buying my wife a pair soon because she keeps stealing them if we don’t go to the gym together!

    Great Earphones by Bose

    • Written by Jered C from Wesson

These new Bose earphones sound wonderful. The bluetooth connection wizard is easy for set up. It is quite convenient that the earphones contain a "Find my Earbuds" feature similar to "Find my iPhone" in case you lose one of the devices. I am overall very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality waterproof music product.

    Using Bose

    • Written by Holden S from Howe

I got the SoundSport about a month ago, the case has an amazing texture to it. The case can hold a long charge, and it’s nice that when you put the earbud in the case it keeps it charged. I think that the earbuds have amazing sound quality if the song has a lot of bass in it the Bose give a really good crisp bass. I think they stick out a little too far, but for how much is packed into it I think it’s fine. Though sometimes the signal can get a little out of wack even though my phone it either in my pocket or on a table, But again it has so much packed into it that I’m fine with it

Great wireless earbuds my iPhone X!

    • Written by Greg D from Austin

I recently acquired the Bose SoundSport Free wireless earbuds for myself. I gave my roommate a pair of these for Christmas, so it’s nice to see for myself what he’s been raving about.
The initial reaction to the product is typical Bose: quality packaging, easy set-up and beautiful design. The earbuds are easily connected to my iPhone X via the downloadable Bose app. This model has a feature to locate a lost earbud, which is amazing and necessary considering the small size of the buds. The app also works for multiple newer Bose Bluetooth devices, so no need for multiple apps. There are several handy features included in the app and it’s easy to navigate as well.
The sound quality is typical Bose as well; powerful, rich and detailed. The quality is better than most wireless earbuds that I’ve tried. They also work well for phone calls and the clarity is good. Phone calls are only heard in the left earbud, so for some this may take adjustment. Not really a problem, but different.
The fit and feel is secure and comfortable. Well designed and great for all activities. The isolation/noise reduction factor is perfect for music and phone calls. Different sized silicone ear inserts are included to insure a perfect fit. I didn’t experience any discomfort or fatigue after hours of continuous use. Battery life is great too, and the portable charging case is able provides 2 full charges on the go.
In conclusion, I can easily recommend these awesome earbuds. The price was recently reduced, so try them out. Bose has a great warranty and wonderful customer service, so no worries.

    Solid Pair of Wireless Headphones!

    • Written by Jav R

For this review, I will list several categories and remark upon each of them. I will then end with some closing thoughts. I hope you find this review to be helpful in your (possible) purchase!

    Sound quality:
For Bose, the sound quality is on par with other audio devices they sell. The sound is rich, the bass is there (but not too over-powering), and the mid-range sounds pretty natural. Taking calls on the earbuds is an easy process and both sides of the phone call can hear each other with almost “crystal clear” quality.

    Noise cancelling:
As one might expect with “true” wireless earbuds, the noise cancelling isn’t the greatest. While it is able to passively block out some noise, it is not on the level of other (non-true wireless) earbuds. Then again, to my knowledge, Bose does not market these to be noise cancelling. Thus, with that in mind, any level of (unintentional) noise cancelling is great. Compared to Apple’s Airpods, I would say that the Airpods are able to block out noise slightly better than the SoundSport Free.

The Bluetooth connection works great on the Bose SoundSport Free. The range is fairly good (on par with other wireless earbuds). The earbuds also can pair with an app that has the ability to control the basic functions.

    Form factor:
The case itself is rather large but small enough to not be a nuisance. The case is very well built and includes a battery to charge the physical earbuds while you are on the go. I was able to charge my earbuds multiple times and overall, the Bose SoundSport free lasted around 5-7 days depending on the daily usage. Overall, the case is portable and lightweight enough to carry around virtually anywhere.

Regarding the buds themselves, they are pretty large. They are pretty noticeable when one is actually wearing them and that may be a minus depending on what kind of person you are. One plus of their large size is that Bose was able to include a large battery, which means longer runtimes. Other than that, they are really comfortable and the signature Bose StayHear+ Sport tips are magnificent: they stay in while sitting, working out, running, etc. Speaking of working out, the SoundSport Free is water-resistant and getting sweaty on them is no problem: everything still functions normally. The in-line remote is a little hard to control but with use overtime, I feel like that should not be a huge problem.

Overall, the Bose SoundSport Free is a solid package offering great sound quality in a portable package. While a tad larger than most true wireless earbuds, the battery life and the aforementioned sound quality more than make up for it. Coupled with the great battery life, comfortable ear tips and the case (with charging capability), this is a great buy for anyone desiring to get into wireless audio devices.

If your looking at these headphones and considering buying them, stop right now, add them to your cart and pay whatever price they are asking, These are by far the best head phones I have tried for running. When you take the ear buds out of the self charging case they almost look like they will be to big, but they fit snug in your ear.The case stays charged for almost a week and thats with using them a few days a week fir a couple hours a day. They work fine with sweat dripping and all. The noise cancellation is awesome, a great way to zone out during a work out. these head phones truly are worth the price. Love these Bose. If I had to find a negative, you cant add music to the app for the headphones, I subscribe to apple music and they sync great with the apple music app, so it doesn't affect my use.

    Don't read old reviews!

    • Written by Dylan H from Fort Wayne

Make sure you are reading newer reviews for these headphones, as many of the issues that early adopters have been resolved via firmware updates. I have been using these for nearly 3-weeks and have yet to have any disconnect or latency issues at all! I primarily use the Bose SoundSport while running outside, and I have to say, they are exactly what I was hoping they would be. The battery life, sound quality, and fit within my ear are all incredible, and I love that a bit of ambient sound is let in so that I am able to be aware of my surroundings while running. I have historically had issues with ear buds staying in my ears, but I am glad to say that I have never had to worry about these slipping out while running! The case is very sturdy and just feels impressive. I really think these headphones are well worth the price-tag. You are definitely getting Bose quality with the SoundSport Free Headphones.

    My favorite running headphones!

    • Written by Jacintha W from RSM

I've been using these Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones 3 to 4 times per week for about a month now. I use them mainly for running but I love that you can also use them to answer phone calls. I am amazed how comfortable they are and they stay put throughout my entire run, unlike some other sport headphones I've had that would eventually come loose or fall out. It is seriously a big deal for me to not have to readjust these Bose headphones during my run, so I can just concentrate on the sport and enjoy my playlist. I've traveled with these and worn them in various types of weather, from rain to hot, humid, and cold. They are still working fantastic so I hope they will withstand the elements overtime.

Pairing with my iphone was quick and easy each time, and I am happy with their battery life. So far, I've been charging them once a week or longer. The little storage case that it comes with can be used to charge the headphones, which is really convenient when I don't always have the charging cable with me. I'm so happy I got these Bose SoundSport Free wireless headphones. Bose products never cease to amaze me with their innovations and continued sound quality. You will love these!

    Amazing sound quality!

    • Written by Candy R from Shreveport

I've had these Bose earbuds for several weeks, and I'm really enjoying them. The sound quality is what you would expect from Bose, even better because it's in your ear!

I was a little concerned that they would not be secure for running. But they stay put and feel secure as you work out or run.

To charge the earbuds, they fit in a small charging case and are held in place by magnets. Recharge the case as needed using the charging cord to a USB port. When not in use, keep the earbuds in the case to protect them and to have them charged for your next work out.

I enjoy using this product and definitely recommend it.

One of the best fitness earphones

    • Written by Raghava C from Houston

This is one of the best headphones I have tried. The sound quality is what Bose is all about. Sound is clear and balanced with decent bass. Battery lasted for around 12-15 hrs. The fit is good however it felt like it will come out of the ear but even with running and jumping it has never fallen from my ears. I take it regularly to gym and never faced any issues. Connectivity is good. The con I would say is with the voice call. You can only use the right earphones for taking calls. Overall a good wireless headphone. Totally worth the money.

    Quality sound and fit!

    • Written by Mitchell H from Lansing

I really enjoy these headphones! They fit well with minimal adjustments during activity, the charging case is a fantastic idea, and the sound is Bose-quality. I've worn them with great success during running, weight lifting, and playing basketball; no issues. Love these more than the connected/corded Bose SoundSport headphones, and those are still a high-quality product! Definitely recommended!
