Such a waste of time and money

Impossible to put on your phone. I gave up and threw the whole thing away because Belkin’s instructions were terrible. DO NOT BUY.

Unbelievable waste of time and money

I challenge anyone to actually follow the Belkin directions and figure out how to get the film on your phone without damaging either the film or the phone. I'm furious about the $20 bucks I wasted on this.

    Great Anti Glare Protector

I'm not sure what these other people are talking about giving the screen protector a one star. I think they are mixed up with the glass protector that Apple no longer sells. The glass protector by Belkin was recalled because of defects and Apple stopped carrying it. Quality is always number one with Apple. This anti glare screen protector is great. It has a good feel and it is very resistant to scratches and cracks. Apple installed it for free and did a great job with the installation. To those who gave this product a bad review, I would say, "before you write a review make sure you are referencing the right item."

Works Great, OTHER REVIEWERS ARE REVIEWING THE GLASS PROTECTOR!

Many of the other reviewers giving this product 1-2 stars are in fact reviewing the GLASS version of this Belkin product, not this product, which is the polymer anti-glare protector. They are idiots. Ignore the idiots. This protector is fantastic. The clarity is not quite as good as glass, but it offers better protection against scratches, drops, etc. This protector will not crack, unlike the glass version. I recommend buying at the apple store and getting them to apply it–they do a very good job. I've had this protector for about 1 month and it still looks flawless.

    Nope

Went on beautifully - it's very easy to apply - and looked great for about two weeks before things went wrong. Like many of the other reviews, it began with a very small spider crack on one edge which then expanded into a huge crack along the full length of the film. Didn't drop the phone or put it under any undue pressure, just normal day-to-day usage. From there it was a daily game of find the new split. It seems to be only the top layer that goes with the adhesive layer underneath remaining intact. A small mercy as it might have scratched the phone screen without this. This also means that when it comes to removing the screen protector it comes off in one go without breaking into multiple pieces. This is oddly satisfying and sort of blunts the pain as you lament your wasted $ (sidebar; I wish you luck in getting a refund from Belkin). Though this isn't much consolation as ultimately this is a flawed product as it breaks without provocation and quickly makes it look like your screen has been attacked with a hammer. In case it wasn't clear, based on my experience, I would not recommend buying this product.

    Terrible Product. Do not purchase.

This protector scratched and split apart within a month. I am very careful with my phones too. I had a 4 for over 4 year and a 6plus for over three and never broken them or their screens. I went to the apple store yesterday and they wouldn't deal with it and said to contact belkin directly. Frustrating they don't stand behind the stuff they sell. To further add to the frustration they said a glass protect is coming out soon. I would have never bought this in the first place had I know and feel the Apple employee should've told me this when I originally bought my phone.

    Did not protect screen!

I assumed with case and screen protector that I didn’t have to shriek when I dropped my phone out of the car but it cracked and chipped because this screen protector isn’t wide enough. I have never even chipped a phone and this iPhone X is now damaged after a few weeks of use. I am so disappointed and am now left with a whopping repair bill.

    Very satisfied

I have had this screen protector on my iPhone X for two months now and I have no issues whatsoever. Some reviews have claimed that a day after putting the protector on it already got a crack in it but that has not been the case with me. My protector is still immaculate and free of air bubbles. The Belkin device Apple uses to put the protector on does a great job of putting it on your phone straight. A little pricey but worth the purchase.

    Great Anti-Glare FILM!

LET'S START WITH THIS: Many of the reviewers of this product clearly don't know how to read. They are giving poor reviews to a different product (the GLASS screen protector that Belkin has recalled as of the date of this review). Before you rely on someone's product advice, it's a good idea to make sure they are talking about the actual product you are looking at.

THIS product is a polymer FILM. Therefore it can't "crack" as several other reviewers are complaining about. If you wanted to somehow "break" this protector, you would need to use a razor blade to cut it.

IN GENERAL: I personally prefer an anti-glare film like this (or any polymer film) to glass protectors of any brand. Here are a couple reasons why: 1) you can read your screen in bright sunlight; 2) the anti-glare films are far more resistant to fingerprints than the iPhone's glass screen, or glass protectors; and most importantly 3) a polymer film exponentially increases the resistance of your screen to damage. With respect to reason 3, this is because the polymer acts as a laminate on the glass base. It absorbs and distributes impacts laterally...the same way the safety glass in your car windshield does. They don't make vehicle safety glass by adding another layer of GLASS....they laminate the glass with polymer compounds to stop the spread of fractures. Those glass screen protectors only protect against light scratches. You drop your phone and they will almost certainly crack....and same thing happens if your keys press up against them etc. Think about it: glass screen protectors are simply razor thin sheets of GLASS. Not exactly what you'd think of as "impact resistant." Once cracked, the glass "protector"may actually damage your screen.

THIS PRODUCT SPECIFICALLY: It is great. I have not noticed any real change to color rendering through the screen, and the touch screen response appears to be unaffected. What I like best about this particular anti-glare film, is the excellent system Belkin includes to apply it to your phone. I have applied many films by other makers, and it has taken considerable skill, time, and effort to get them aligned and installed without any bubbles...or DUST....underneath them. Belkin provides a mounting frame that secures your phone in perfect alignment with the film, and allows you to install it FAST, before any dust has a chance to get under it.

To install: 1) mount your phone into the frame, 2) clean the screen, 3) use the included dust-removal sticky pad to get the screen "sterile"; 4) peel the protective film off the "phone" side of the film; 4) pull the film tight against the retention tape, which perfectly aligns it with the screen; 5) drop it into place; 6) gently push any bubbles out, moving from the center of the film toward the edges (I use my fingers...not the special tool Belkin includes; and 7) remove the protective plastic from the front of the film. This took me about five minutes and I got a PERFECT installation the very first time. If you don't like to read instructions, they have a YouTube video that shows how to do this. I didn't need to watch it, but it might be helpful to a lot of people, and I think it's cool they even bothered to do this.

I'd purchase this specific film again for the ease of installation alone. It's also reasonably priced and readily available at the Apple Store.

I am extremely picky and I have OCD. I'd notice if anything at all went wrong with the film installation, or if it "changed" how my iPhone operates in any way. I'm happy with it, which means most normal people probably would be also. Belkin delivers a great product and makes it easy for almost anyone to install without problems. I highly recommend this product.

    Crack after 2 weeks

Bought this item and after 2 weeks it has a crack going from top to bottom (spider crack) and I have never dropped my phone. This phone also has a case on. This is the worst case ever.

    Waste of money

Terrible product! I just wasted $20 ! I could not get the air bubbles out and I couldn't see any mystery film that was supposed to stay on the glass. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Great screen protector! better than the glass screen protector(and cheaper)

Easy to install (even though the EasyAlign was crooked to install in the first place so I did it myself without it), no major scratches on it so far. Few people didn't even notice that the phone had a screen protector on it. Thinner than glass screen protectors and definitely way less reflective and doesn't crack. Most glass screen protectors are overrated and break way too easily.

    Good but bad....

Liked the protector for the week and a half I had it. I keep my phone in my front pocket with no other objects and somehow this thing cracked. Looks like it has a little ding in the corner and now theres webbing all throughout. I could understand if I dropped my phone or had it rolling around a bag or something but this thing is pretty poorly made. Boo on Apple for offering this janky "solution" to screen protection.

    Better than the glass protectors

Great screen protector. Way better than the glass screen protectors on the market. And it was a huge plus that they sell ones at the Apple stores with the install kit that they are able to install the screen protector perfectly every time with no misalignment or bubbles. I feel like the other reviews of this product are about the glass screen protector but this isn't the one. Recommend to others 100%

    Cracked

It took nothing to scratch and then crack this screen protector. I don't even know when it happened. I haven't even dropped my phone once since I got it, yet there it is cracked. Waste of money.

    screen protector

They installed the screen protector at the apple store and it looked fine, no bubbles. After about 3 weeks, there is big long bubble down the side. I went to the apple store but they said there is nothing they can do to fix it. Waste of money.

    Find something else

It breaks to easy. Been using this for the last few days. Haven’t dropped my phone or anything that would cause a crack in the protector but it already has two big cracks from side to side. Liked this protector a lot but this was a waste of money.
