    Broken

    • Written by James P from Baldwinsville

I purchased this Moleskine Portfolio for its quality feel and appearance. I have to agree with the other reviewer that it is limited in functionality. The IPad is held in place by a rigid plastic case similar to that of a phone case. Recently the unit slipped off the back of the couch to a wooden floor 28 inches below. I was surprised to find that two corners broke off the plastic case and it no longer holds the iPad in place. A thin strip next to the volume keys also snapped. Moleskine denied warranty coverage. $100 is a lot spend for a cover that only lasted four months.

    Great Quality, Not Versatile Enough

    • Written by Haydee C from Cambridge

Quality you can expect from Moleskine products. It's simple, neat and elegant. It's sturdy and the materials seem like they'll last a while. The pencil and iPad fit snug in their places. There are reviews for previous versions that mention the elastic for the pencil stretches, but it's hard to believe it will happen with this. It's really tight. The only flaw the case has is its angular versatility. The angles the iPad sits at range from 45-90 degrees, which places a limitation on how the user interacts with the iPad. It works great for watching and reading, but typing and drawing is awkward, if not difficult or impossible. There is the option to lay it flat, but I'd expect a little more flexibility-of-form for the price-tag.

Rating as a 3-star because the limitation is really evident.
