    The app has many errors

    • Written by HaJung K from Seongnam City

I can't download the video I recorded using the DJI Osmo Go app. The app has a lot of bugs that are not fixed. It frequently gets automatically turned off. It is very frustrating.

    Too Good To Be True

    • Written by Peter P from Pompton Lakes

I was skeptical of this product having seen the mixed reviews, however I needed a gimbal and this one was cheap.

I picked the product up and charged it that night. It worked rather well the first night (I was still getting the hang of it so it seemed finicky). The next day I went to further get acclimated with it and sure enough, my iPhone X (iOS 12.2) won't connect to the Gimbal at all. It shows up under the Bluetooth list, but won't connect at all. I'll give it another day but I'm already planning a trip back to Apple to return this.

What a piece of junk, never have I come across anything such as this before, the instructions, which you don't get in the box you have to download.
When reading them they read like someone who doesn't speak English wrote them, they make no sense whats so ever.
And anything you read online is worthless too for help that is, its just the same answers not addressing the issues that a lot of people are having.
The big issue being the firmware, good luck trying to install that! The app is complete rubbish, it tells you to do things that aren't even options - probably would be if the firmware could be installed. This osmo 2 is not worth the time nor money.
No tech support, no one to speak to to solve it - just as bad a BT, but at least you can call them.
How this ever made it onto apple shelves is beyond me. Mines going back to Apple, if I buy from apple I expect a certain quality and things to just work out of the box, this is sooo very far from it!!!!

AVOID! Too many problems - 3 days into setup and still can't get to work.

    • Written by Darren D from Montgomery Center

Was very excited to get this product from Apple. Had seen some reviews online. Since opening the package, it's been nothing but a disappointment, however. First, the battery wouldn't charge. Using the provided cord and my own 2A charger block, I couldn't get the device to charge. After 20 minutes of plugging and unplugging and fiddling with buttons, I somehow got it to start charging. The process which was supposed to take 2 hours took all of overnight.
On the initial charge, I was able to get the product to work for about 15 minutes. Then I had to shut it down and move on.
Next day? No charge. Wouldn't work. I've been recharging it but now it won't operating, synch with the software or anything.
Sadly, I think my wife threw out the packaging, or I'd be returning this today. As it is, I'm going to have to keep trying to debug it.

Junk! I have created several YouTube videos with different iPhone models and another (earlier) brand of stabilizer. All wobbled and jittered, but I did used the more-stable clips for the finished products. I just purchased the DJI Osmo 2, from my local Apple store, hoping for better results. Instructions are incomprehensible. Controls are ridiculous with very poor design and feel - one click for this, two clicks that, and more clicks for something else. Simply stupid. All the flashing lights are a freak show. But worst of all - it would not work. I returned it. Why Apple would sell this junk is beyond me. Not sure if any hand-held stabilizers will work with iPhones, but I am giving up on it. I will continue to use my Sony camera on a tripod - a combo that does make smooth videos. Does anybody know of any smartphone/stabilizer combo that actually works?

    Not working from beginning

    • Written by Tim P from Highland

So i opened the box super excited because i had a big video shoot that week. charged it up and installed the app on my phone. i put the phone in the gimbal and turned it on. the phone went into position and then slowly started drifting. well the was pain but i figured i must had done something wrong. checked everything twice and tried again. same problem. the day of shooting with everyone on site i turn it on and it goes into position and flops down almost kicking my phone out of the holster. now all it does is flop. doest work at all.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

I just returned my osmo mobile 2. IPhones with OIS won’t work well with this, or any gimbal. I have an Iphone X, but any other Iphone with OIS will always produce video with small shakyness, even with the “ninja walk”,which is ridiculous since it defeats the purpose of getting a Gimbal.

Even if you try using film apps to try and get rid of this, it will not go away, especially since Iphones OIS cannot be turned off. I tested the gimbal with an phone 6s, which isn’t equipped with OIS and the difference in image movement was huge. This test proved to me that Osmo mobile 2 is an excellent gimbal and does a job well done, but unfortunately it will work really well only with phones that doesn’t have OIS and I assume that will work with the ones that the OIS can be turned off.

This is a huge problem and I personally think that DJI and Apple should warn consumers about this before selling this product. I am not saying it is a bad product. Both Iphones and osmo are great pieces of equipment. It’s just that they don’t work well together, if there is OIS in the middle.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with a smartphone with OIS.

    Unusable out of the box

    • Written by Christian S from Alpharetta

I was really looking forward to using this but unfortunately I could never get the OSMO to stay connected to my iPhone X. Bluetooth wouldn't stay connected so I was never able to test any of the controls. For that matter, whenever I powered the device on, I could never tell if the gimbal was even getting power. The indicator lights came on, but the device never stabilized. Oh well, I'll wait a few months and try again. I did receive this very soon after the pre-order period opened up so I may have experienced some early production bugs.

Returned it - Seemed to not be compatible with iPhone X

    • Written by Scott B from Los Angeles

The device wouldn't calibrate, would randomly 'drop' my phone and not attempt to stabilize, and would seem to wobble all over while trying to take a video. I'm not sure if the device was just having issues overall or if the iPhone X wasn't fully compatible despite the DJI Go app supposedly receiving compatibility updates.

    Worst DJI Product Ever

    • Written by David M from Kemah

I spent a good bit of time trying to get this device to work with my iPhone X. What a complete waste of my time. I rarely say I don't like something that Apple sells, but I really don't like the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 since it didn't work right out of the box. Or maybe it's because it just doesn't feel right for my model phone. I simply could not get it to center and balance. The SPARSE instructions were of no help. Can you use it with a case? I don't know - not enough documentation! Why is the light blinking - again no idea. Why won't the gimble center when I press the button? Don't waste your time on this product.
