    Doesn’t Work

    • Written by Robert R from Seattle

This is an easy product to use: charge it up and put your iPhone in the grippers. The contact should result in charging. Except it doesn’t. Returning.

    Does not work properly!!

    • Written by Kevin G from Kansas City

This very high priced (IMHO) wireless charger was a major disappointment. I "think" it worked when I plugged it in after leaving the Apple Store. However, when I actually needed it in a rental car, on the highway, in Joshua Tree National Park, It was a complete failure. And it didn't charge in my own Jeep Rubicon on a camping trip either. I just keep hoping it will "come to life." I have attempted to remove my leather case and it still gets no juice. And if you are only supposed to plug the USB end into the Mophie or a QC 2.0 car adaptor, then why even have the USB end on it?!! Of course, as a troubleshooting step, you are gonna stick the USB charger in the cars USB slot. Does this ruin the device?! I'll be returning it to the Apple Store soon.

    Poorly made.

    • Written by Mark B from Spring Valley

Bought 3/10. Broke 7/2 Gripper Arm/Pad holding phone broke. In Warranty, 2 years is nice. But with light use it broke in 4 months. Everyone seems to have the same issue with the gripper arm loosing it's grip. Nice just bent over actually.

So the ONE Hand convent design is a nice idea. They just need to use parts that don't break.

    Not exactly "fast charge"

    • Written by Douglas T from Orlando

I really, really wanted to like this charger. The description says it is optimized for "Apple Fast Charge", but I either have a defective item, or it isn't optimized at all. On a 2.5 hour car ride it couldn't charge my iPhone XS from 80% to 100%..it only got to 98%. The next day while driving back I tested my regular cheap $5 USB adapter and lightning cable and my phone went from 77% to 100% in 1.5 hrs. The design for one-handed use is great, but I can't justify the price of this product for a one-handed, slow charging air vent mount.

The 1-Star Reviews of This Thing Are Totally False, LOL.

    • Written by Ronald R B from Winter Park

I’m amazingly happy with my purchase of this induction charger for my car.

I bought it a month or 2 ago and I’ve just been waiting for the things that these other 2 or 3 reviewers said would happen in “less than a month” if I bought it, but you know what? They never happened. My phone has never “slid down until the volume button got squeezed and turned off my volume” like the one guy said, and to tell you the truth I don’t think it’s ever slid down at all.

One time I tried testing how quickly it charged, and this isn’t an exact number, but what I saw after a roughly 1 hour drive was that it will charge your phone by about 1% per minute, give or take. It might have been more like 0.8% or 0.9% per minute, but it was very close, and I bet if I hadn’t been using google maps or any other apps at the time I could have gotten it up to a 1% per minute charging speed.

As a guy with a physics degree, let me explain to you why it can’t have a magnet on it. Induction charging uses magnetic flux lines and magnetism to move electrons from one place to another, so if we start putting random magnets on things that are trying to induction-charge our phones, we can’t charge our phones very effectively anymore can we?

Anyway, I just wanted to leave this review because I already leave enough 1-Star reviews of my own on the internet about things I don’t like, so I figured I’d even it out some with this one. It just made me really angry to read those other 1-Star reviews about this thing and slowly realize that they weren’t even true, and in my opinion were probably written by competitors for all we know. I have no connection to Mophie, or any company involved in making or selling this device. I just think it’s a great device and I’ve had an entirely different experience with it than the other 2 or 3 reviewers who have reviewed it. You might also want to check and see if the other reviewers may have faked their credentials to get on this site in the first place ... just a thought.

    Surprising disappointment

    • Written by Lisa O from RENSSELAER

I usually think highly of mophie and when I saw this in the Apple store, I thought it had to be good.

-- Doesn't work with Tech 21 or Apple cases
-- Day one it rarely charged, even with no case

I really wanted this to work, but it's going to be returned.

Don't Use Rubber Strips That Comes Out Easily.

    • Written by Azim V from Alexandria

Rubber strips for friction on both sides came out within a month. Now my phone slides down on its own and hits the volume button and lowers the volume all the way down. I paid 70$ for a cigarette lighter adapter. Definitely not worth it.

So Ugly - Such a waste of talent

    • Written by JOSEPH P from Los Angeles

Why on earth didn't the knuckleheads at Mophie simply make a wireless magnetic case that would allow the iPhone X phones to be charged and held in place with magnets so their Wonderful Charge Force system could still be used????????????? I just spent a small fortune buying two desk mounts, a vent mount, batteries (the magnetic kind that stick to the case) and an iPhone 7 Plus case - all less than 6 months ago.

These geniuses made it all obsolete so they could sell you this Sputnik looking piece of junk that looks horrible and does exactly the same thing as their magnetic vent mount did (looking elegant when it did it), but they added a Rube Goldberg mechanical mount.

What a major step backwards for technology.... Mophie you blew it!!!!!!
