    Mac External Extended Wired Keyboards

I have 3. The oldest, 2010, I use at work because the company supplied ones are nasty. Works perfectly. No2, 2014 lost a line of keys after 1 year, No 3, 2015, has just lost 3 numeric keys. Tried it on a different computer to no avail. I notice that the 'feel' of the newer ones is not as good as the 2010 version. I have been advised to take the failing ones to an Apple store, but at the price they are I really resent having to appeal to Apple to back products just out of warranty. I can buy a cheap and nasty keyboard that lasts for years, Apple ones, sleek, impressive and nice to use appear to be sub standard on the longevity test.

amazing! much better than the last one

Great product. I wish that the wireless version would come with the number pad, because that is one feature I like on the old white Apple keyboard. I would also like support for high power USB 2.0 devices on the previous models of Macs. Otherwise fantastic.

    Perfect, Compact, And Comfortable!

I bought this keyboard from Best Buy and its great! I don't know what everyone else is complaining about when it shakes or whatever. The keys are very comfortable that I'm not used to my windows keyboard anymore, so I plug it in even to a windows laptop. I think it was worth it. Also what is great is, that there are no gaps so crumbs can't get in the keyboard. One small thing I don't like, its that since its white, they keys sometimes get dirty, but i clean them with some alcohol wipes. Lastly its good to carry around and it pretty light, so it is good for travel, even though I don't travel much anywhere besides around my apartment.

Defiantly worth it, so go at and buy it! It also compatible with window, but not fully of course.

    Best Keyboard i've ever used.

I bought this keyboard when I was in NYC at the Fifth Avenue store (one of the 2 apple stores i visited). I'm using it on my Dell laptop, becuase i hate PC keyboards. It is the best keyboard I've ever used. It's thin, light, yet durable, and the key response is great. For $50, it was a great buy!

    I like it.

I recently spilled an entire glass of tea into my beloved Apple Pro keyboard, which I went to great lengths to acquire, as it's been discontinued for many years. Heartbroken, I decided to go and buy this new Apple keyboard.

I am very, very happy with it. It's sleek and very attractive. It matches my Powermac G5 and even my Dell monitor very nicely. It takes up a minimal footprint on my desk space. The USB ports are recessed slightly, which is nice. My wireless mouse dongle barely protrudes at all.

As far as the action, I am really surprised. The low profile keys are something I've never liked before on notebooks. With this keyboard the keys are bigger, and more widely space than on a laptop. The overall effect is very pleasing. I've only had it a day or so and my typing has actually improved.

I highly recommend this keyboard to everyone. Even people apprehensive about switching to a low profile design.

    Sweet

Satisfied with the fact that this new keyboard is light and not as bulky as the previous keyboard that came with my Mac when I bought it. Also, the ultra thin buttons require less pressure to type, which is also a huge welcome. I would have gone wireless, but the number keypad was not included. That's the only negative about this product. I also like the fact that Apple provided me with a usb extended cable for my flash drive. it matches the color of my iMac. Gracias!

    Best Mac Keyboard to date.

I got this keyboard with my new 20" iMac. It is the most responsive and sensitive Mac keyboard I have owed to date. The only other keyboard I've enjoyed using that comes close is the one on my G3 Clamshell iBook. My wife said this keyboard was almost too sensitive when she was first using it. She wants to get one to replace the old keyboard on the G3 iMac that she is using after getting rid of her HP laptop.

    Fantastic for Mac or Windows!

I just got this keyboard for christmas and couldn't be happier. It types just like a laptop keyboard: fast and noiseless. My favourite part of the board itself is that it works flawlessly on windows! Simply plug and play!

    Great Keyboard

I love the small footprint. I love how everything fits perfectly in the small footprint without looking cluttered at all. The keyboard is setup very nicely with perfectly spaced keys and inconspicuous toggle buttons. Definitely an upgrade from the previous Apple Keyboard.

    The Best!!

Hands down, by far, the best full size keyboard that I have ever used. USB ports work great with my external hard drive, mouse, etc. My only recommendation would be is to buy one as soon as possible and you will see.

Is it art or is it just a keyboard?

It's both. Truly a comfort to type on - the keyboard looks amazing atop the surface of my desk.... an inconsequential piece of technology taken to the next level. Bravo.

    Less Typos!

Just "upgraded" from G5 Quad to 24" iMac 2.8Ghz with this NEW KEYBOARD. It is better, quite, much easier to type on since it lies flat, and looks better than the older white plastic model too. I am making MUCH less typos! I will be buying a second one for our MacBookPro and selling the old Apple pro Keyboard.

    Wow!

That had to be the best $49 investment I have made lately. I was so happy to junk my old Apple keyboard you have no idea! I hope this new technology is what Apple intends to use on its laptops. Thanks Steve!

    Neat! Recommend upgrade.

Very low profile. Will take some getting use to. Very fast typing. Smooth key strokes. Keys are spaced perfectly. I also like the new keys and layout. I have full control watching movies with DVD player using the control keys. This keyboard works perfect with the keyboard update 1.1. I did not have to manually change anything.

Very sleek design worth the price. Recommend buying.

    Works fine since '09

Came in Jan 09 with my 24" iMac. Both continue to work fine. I'm on OS 10.5.8. The numeric keypad is essential for me.
    PROs:
    1. Key height – top row shorter, bottom row slightly longer (Apple screwed this up on the new Magic Keyboard).
    2. Tilt angle, tactile feel, ease of cleaning (always turn the keyboard upside down).
CONs (makes keyboard awkward to use – PC influence):
    1. The registration bumps are on the wrong keys. Apple's original approach was better.
    2. Middle block is wasted. Move the cursor keys to the main keypad (like wireless keyboards) and lose the others.
