    Fantastic!

Purchased an airport express to extend wireless signal into my bedroom which had very poor coverage. I use an airport extreme as my primary router. Within minutes of opening the box, my bedroom had great wifi coverage. Great product. Very easy set up. Seamless integration with other apple products. Great purchase. Thanks, Apple!

    Airport Express 70% speed boost

I just added an Airport Express to my network yesterday to allow more simultaneous devices to be connected, and to setup a guest network. The installation had one small problem - I received an error message - "an unexpected error occurred. Please try again". The written setup guide that came with the Airport Express indicated that if there were any problems the first thing to try is powering down the modem and Airport Express, then power back up. Once I did that, everything was flawless. Now the best news - I did speed tests before and after on what was already a fast home network. The download speeds increased by a minimum of 70%. The system has been operating flawlessly and we can now connect our 10 devices without any problem, and still have 40 additional connections left over. Very impressive piece of equipment from Apple.

    Great little router

I purchased this router to replace a Cisco router that was at least 4 years old and had a very weak/no signal in some of the rooms of my single story, 1900 sq. ft. house.

The new router was very easy to setup and took less than 10 min. When I setup the router, I used the same network name, password and password security (PSA/PSA2/etc) my old router used. I took this action to eliminate the need to change the network name/password on all of the devices I use (laptop, printer, IPod, etc).

I now get a signal in every room of my house. The Apple router is worth the price.

    Airport Express Extends Nicely!

Bought this little item to provide better signal strength on the second floor of my house. Have a 3TB Time Capsule in the basement as my primary router / WiFi radio. Received the new Airport Express from Apple today (2 days after ordering), unboxed it, took it upstairs with my iPad Pro, plugged in the Airport Express in my front bedroom which is now our TV room / Den. Then I followed the instructions to set it up as en extender to my existing WiFi. That took about 5 minutes and it worked perfectly. Now we have max WiFi strength (3 bars) on the second floor. It was wavering between one and two bars before. Next I went down to basement and booted up my MacBook Pro laptop and brought up the Airport Utility app. There was my new Airport Express showing underneath my Airport Time Capsule in the main window. But it had a little red "1" beside the Airport Express so I touched that and a little note came up said there was a Firmware Update available. So I clicked on it. It failed part of the way through. So I clicked on the update button again. This time it successfully downloaded, prepared, and installed the firmware update (7.6.8). Then it took about 2 minutes to restart the new Airport Express (having a yellow dot during the process). Finally the yellow dot turned to green and it said complete. I'd say the entire setup is very straightforward and easy to perform. I can only hope this new device gives me as reliable and trouble-free service as has the Time Capsule (now going on about 3 years old).

    hate this product

Airport utility doesn't detect anything. The bridge mode gives me the same amount of signal without bridge mode.

    A joke

I paid $200 for a router I had heard was going to be reliable but man was I assuming wrong or what? At least once a week, it looses connection with my laptop and I have to mess around for about an hour to figure out why.

    Returned the first day

I bough this hoping to extend my Wi-Fi, but sadly it failed. It never connected to my router in the first place, I rested it and restored it to factory default 3 times. I tried a lot of times and it never connected. Very disappointing with this product. I looked at the booklet in side and look at my router. The router was perfectly capable but every time my iPhone said "An unexpected error has accored, please try again"

    airport express

No matter what I did, the airport utility could not find the airport express. This even sitting within a few feet of the router, the ipad, and the express unit. I would give it less than one star if possible. it is useless.

    Airport Express is not reliable

I would not recommend to buy this AirPort Express Base Station!! This is a second that I've purchased two months ego and I hoped it would work since the previous model worked only for 4 month. But, no it didn't. It starts loosing connection at first and then after several 'reset' it won't connect at all. Don't waste money.

    Don't Bother

    Useless piece of rubbish.

The first one I got didn't work. Got a replacement and it was worse. Sent the third one back and got a refund. It worked for about 3 days... and then nothing.

I expected more from Apple. Only gave it one star because I couldn't give it zero.

    Does not work

I have tried installing 2 of these in the last few days. Both times it will not extend the network connection. I get an error stating "An unexpected error has occurred, please try again". Afterwards the router does not show in the Airport utility window. It only returns after I reset the router by pushing the button.

I suspected the salesman knew there was a problem for the device. He assumed I wanted to return for a refund, not exchange. My desire to try a second airport seem to caught him off guard. Maybe should have taken his hint and just asked for a refund. I am trying it now and will likely return it in the morning.

Now, how do I get my older version back from my cousin??

Does not work with ALL ISPs

Thought I'd be smart and replace my trusty Linksys with an Apple product as almost all my computer stuff is Apple. Was I disappointed. The setup was this was frustrating. I thought it was the cable outlet. So the cable guy came and told me that the only was to this that and the other - all way above my skill level. But he couldnt do it for me as it was not his company policy to do this that or the other.
So back to the store this goes.
