    Best Case Scenario

I picked up the midnight blue leather case for my iPhone 6 three years ago because it had the same thin form factor as a cheap case that I initially bought but had much better grip. I think a good grip on a case provides more protection against drops than some bulky cases would considering that the phone is not going to get dropped in the first place. I see a lot of reviews complaining about scratches, changes in color, and water stains. Someone even complained about the “paint” used on the case. Have none of you ever used anything made of leather? That is it’s nature, like it or not. Apple made a leather case and these issues are not design flaws. Many people buy leather products specifically because of how they wear over time. I knew my case would scratch and darken as well as get softer and grip better. After a while, it is impossible to leave scratches once enough oils from your skin have been absorbed. My case is so grippy that I have not once dropped my phone when holding it. It did come out of my athletic shorts’ pocket when I took a jump shot. It flew up in the air when I jumped and landed on blacktop after falling at least four feet. The phone was unharmed and the corner of the case that struck first was roughed up. A few weeks later and the scuff was invisible. I just ordered the iPhone X and purchased the same type of case for it. Leather only gets better with time.

    I feel robbed

I bought the tan leather case 8wks ago and 3wks later it looked like something that was at least 5yrs old! I just managed to get into store thinking it's apple they will help me because clearly this is wrong!! I was seen by a store manager who said it was the way I was using the case and there is no issue with the case. He also told me it is pointless escalating the issue because apple's complaint policy is only at one level and that's with him!!
I am shocked and feel robbed! It cost me a heck of a lot of money to purchase this case and this is not acceptable apple!
Will be writing to their head office hopefully I'll get a better response otherwise I will have to rethink buying apple products in future.

    Very poor quality

I think it's a rip, very bad quality for such a price. The color faded very fast. Another thing, I think it's not designed for a use: like I understand that I should protect the leather things from the wet conditions, but for a god sake, I don't know what kind of paints were used to paint the leather, but the fact is that the color goes away with the little drop of water and the worst thing - it "paints" the furniture. I will never again buy any leather cases from the Apple.

    Dreadful Case

£45 pound for a red leather case that goes black around the edges pretty much straight away!!! utter rubbish, still only about a month old, am I entitled a refund?? Also quite difficult to power phone on and off not impressed and has certainly helped to make my mind to to go back with an Android device soon :( Less than one star out of five!!!

    Nice fit

After years of being over protective of my iPhone by using Otter boxes, I decided to bring it out and use this apple leather case. It looks and feels good but be aware it does not protect your phone. One drop on the gym floor and the glass is cracked. The high point to this is there is no need to go back to the otter box- the crack is already there.

    Angry Customer

When I bought this expensive case I was told it would protect my screen. My screen is completely shattered. I am unhappy with this case.

    Very satisfied

I have Iphone 6s and 2 apple's leather cases for it saddle brown and midnight blue. Both of these cases are very high quality and has worn down nicely. Some time ago i spilled coffee on this saddle brown case, i immediately pour a lot of water on this case and first i thought that it has been ruined, but after that i thought that it looks even nicer and has now darker vibe to it. I recommend for sure.

    Poor quality

The leather case for the iPhone 6 lasted a year with minimal wear. However in the year that followed, I've gone through two Apple leather cases for my iPhone 6S. In this short amount of time, they've both developed very rough edges on the sides that make it unpleasant and uncomfortable to hold. Additionally, the raised protrusions that cover the volume control are too feint to allow easy location of the buttons by feel, and they require very hard and precise pressure to operate the underlying volume buttons.

I used to recommend this case to everyone but not anymore.

Pros/Cons after 1.5 years of use.

I bought this case for my 6s plus bc I don't like bulky, tacky, plastic, "loud" cases (it's already big and didn't want to increase the size..said no man ever). I'd prefer not to use a case bc it's like putting a tarp over a beautiful work of art. The leather case is thin, sleek, and tasteful. After a year and a half, here are the pros/cons in my "case".

Color: I bought the dark navy a year and a half ago (it looks black so I'm sure the leather wears the same). It darkened as leather does, but since it is dark, I don't have the same complaints as those who bought red or some other lighter color (they look dirty quickly). It may have gotten scratch marks initially (I don't recall it being a problem), but the oils in my hands have richened it over time such that I can't make a scratch mark if I tried. So, dark is best in my opinion.

Quality: The leather began peeling away somewhat at the corners after less than a year of use. The corners are now worn down especially at the bottom. At about a year, one bottom corner began to crack and separate as if you could pull the corner back. Now both bottom corners have broken in this way to where one bottom corner is about to completely detach due to catching on things like clothes. Besides being sightly, it's annoying and damaging. Which brings me to protection.

Protection: I should replace the case bc it's looking a little janky and snagging clothes, but I refuse to remove it until I find equal or better quality. I'm gentle on everything and the leather has a pretty good grip, but it has offered great protection when I'm clumsy or my drinking problem kicks in. Not a scratch!

I've always used speck cases prior, and the leather case lasted longer. I've also broken my screen with a speck case, many times. I'm shocked that this thin, leather case has protected my phone so well. Bottom line, if you plan on replacing your case after a year, and don't mind the cost, go dark.

    1 week in (black)

One week and everything has held up so far. I never take it off and will probably not take it off until absolutely necessary. Leather has broken in a little but I feel like this is due to the oils in my hands that have made it feel softer. I don't see any wrinkles or creases like the others have mentioned and I would have to guess that they see this because they take the case on and off multiple times. I have recieved complements on the case and people always mention how premium the case feels. I tried it on at the Apple Store and instantly loved it. This case fits very snug and is extremely thin which keeps the form factor of the phone very nicely. I never use cases on my iphones but this case feels better than the phone does naked. It was slippery at first but with time it will be more grippy. 3D Touch app switcher still works well but it does take some time to adjust to the lip around the screen when pressing for the feature (if you are used to rocking it naked). I am extremely pleased with this case and once again Apple has delivered. I will be writing a follow up review down the road to let you guys know how it has faired with more time. In the mean time, this is a premium case so I will treat it like such.

Great case with one minor issue...

I absolutely love the look and feel of the case. I had just bought an iPhone 6s Plus in gold last week, and the Apple black leather case makes the phone look very sleek and elegant. The one issue with the case is I set the phone down on my kitchen counter with a little drop of water on the counter, I didn't realize that there was a little bit of water on the counter. When I lifted up the phone and turned it around to wipe off the water, there was a quarter sized dark water stain. When the spot had dried, it left a small but noticeable water outline. It isn't a really big deal for me, it just made me mad. Other than that, the case is fantastic and the leather is really soft! I would highly recommend this case, just make sure that the surface you set the phone down on isn't wet.

    It's not fitting to iphone6s

I've bought the leather case, lock botton and volume up/down bottons are not smooth now, I have to push them hard to work. I had iPhone5s leather case and I didn't face the same problem

Love this case. Love the personality of leather.

This is one of the best iPhone cases I've ever used. I had one for my 5S and got another in Saddle Brown for my 6S. All the negative reviews I've read about the case scratching and staining—I think are positives. Leather's SUPPOSED to stain and scratch and wear. Each case takes on its own personality and patina. Of course the fit and finish are spot on.

    A good buy

Originally I didn't want to put any case on my iPhone 6s, because it was just of a perfect size to use it with one hand. I didn't want to make it chunkier. But this case, to my surprise, didn't make it much thicker, I can still use it with just one hand, and it's not slippery at all. The material feels so good and premium. And the phone itself looks very good and sexy in this case. I definitely love it. I can't say anything about this case in terms of protection, but I guess it will survive if you don't want to break your iPhone on purpose. The only thing that I didn't like is volume and on/off buttons are quite hard to press in this case.

This case does not fit the iPhone 6s.

I have purchased 3 of the new leather cases for the iPhone 6s. And each is the same - an improper fit. 2 in saddle brown, and one in black, all 3 have been returned. I owned an apple leather case for my iPhone 6 which i put on my 6s and it was ironically a better fit than these new cases. Come on apple, to charge 60 dollars for a case that is not built properly. Every other case manufacturer has created a case specifically for the 6s. You are squeezing your 6s into a case that is clearly designed for a 6. Make 2 cases please. All 3 cases have the same problem, in that the bottom corners do not wrap snug on the phone. Think i am wrong? flip your case upside down and look at the back from the top looking down to the bottom, and you will see the corners flaring out. Very disappointed with apple on this one, and i would recommend waiting for them to solve this problem.

    awesome!!!!! 5/5!!!!

I've used mophie juice packs all my life and I really like this case and how it provides the charge without fiddling around with buttons
I have had no problems putting the case on and taking this case off
case is simple and has deep integration with iOS which I like the most.
when holding the phone in landscape mode it feels nice and esthetic on the hand feels somewhat like a game boy when holding it in landscape (has a nice feel while playing games like asphalt)
sound also travels really well through the case to the front of the phone while playing music

    5/5 from me

    Sleek and Elegant

I wanted a case that didn't bulk up the phone and had a nice feel to it. This fits the bill. I disagree with some reviewers that felt it was too slippery. The black leather gives it a nice grip. I have had it for 2 months now and no scratches.

It was nice for a little while

I got this case and I absolutely loved it! However, lately it has begun to smell like marijuana. To be clear: I do not, nor have I ever, nor have I even been around any kind of smoking. Since I noticed this, I googled it and it does not seem to be common, however, some people have said that its due to the leather process and from holding it all the time. Though I'm not sure why this is happening, I'm incredibly saddened because it was an expensive case I've barely had for any time at all. I hope Apple can do something to rectify this for me, and any other who may or have already experienced this.
