    The Ear hook broken

    • Written by Lakshan P from Kandy

I have been using this product for 1 year. It has great superb quality sound, but unfortunately I am not happy with the built quality of the product as in its ear hook broken from its base. No drop damage or anything. Its just separated from its base. :(( (SN:FTRT219AGQ65 )

    All great except ear loop

    • Written by Dale T

I have had these Powerbeats3 for a little over a year. Within six months the first ear loop broke and I had it replaced under warranty. Seeing how fragile they were I made certain that I treated the next set with extra care. I never dropped or abused these but once again the air loop has broken. At this time they’re out of warranty and to have them repaired is $99. Hardly worth the repair cost especially when you know that the repair is not a permanent solution. The sound quality is great the ease-of-use is great and the way they pair with your iPhone is great. I would not recommend these until they repair or fix their air loop problem.

Lasted 6 months and they “found nothing wrong”

    • Written by Marisa T

I bought this for myself for Christmas and all was great until the end of April when it started dying within maybe 30 minutes and it got worse. By the end of may it didn’t last longer than 5 and if it did, it would disconnect and reconnect up to 3 times a song! I sent this to Apple for fixing(which they assured me they could do) and they immediately sent it back saying there’s nothing they can do. For over $300 I would hope it would last longer and it’s atrocious that they could treat customers like this.

Frustrated and a waste of my money

    • Written by Melissa F

When I first got them which was about 3 months ago I thought they were the best headphones I’ve ever brought. Then out of no where It stopped charging. So I ended up using a different cord to charge and then it was fine. I’m at the gym a few days ago and it kept disconnecting from my phone maybe about 5-6 times. Then just yesterday they wouldn’t turn on I knew they were charged but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they were just dead. I put them on the charger and nothing. A red light apperard and went back off and since then nothing. Iam very frustrated at this point and regret speeding so much money just for them to not hold a charge. Needless to say I’am Very disappointed.

Hopeful but yet at the end, disappointed

    • Written by Maritza R

Purchased a pair to use during my workout at the gym and for running. When they worked they were great but unfortunately had to get them serviced/replaced several times. They are advertised as sweat proof therefore good for sports but as it turns out not so much. They’d eventually just stop functioning due to dampness during my workout. Customer service was great but in the end the persisting issue was never rectified and then I was informed I had to pay $105 to get my last pair serviced. Didn’t want to give up on the Powerbeats but ultimately disappointed:(

They are great. When They work

    • Written by Daniel L

They were great for first few months. Earphones are the best on the market to workout in. Good quality sound, stay in ear- but have had to send back 3 times in the past 6 months. Need to be improved. Not a good quality product

I have purchased the 2 and 3 version of beats and I feel as though I’ve wasted a lot of money. Both pair have lasted about a year and I refuse to buy again. Ridiculous

    Seriously? These aren't sweat-proof?

    • Written by Robert C from Clarksburg

"Sports" earbuds should probably work during...you know...sports? I had mine a little over 13 months, but probably only used them for running about 10 hours during that time due to an injury. The injury heals, I start to run again, and within 3 uses they fail just like everyone else's seem to be. They last about 15 minutes of exercise, and then just turn off. It definitely seems to be sweat related. I loved them while they lasted. Of course, they failed about a month out of warranty.

    Good, when they actually work

    • Written by Evan M

I love my PowerBeats 3 so long as they're connected to my phone/tablet and actually producing sound. The problem is, and this has happened a few times in my long experience with them... they'll just randomly disconnect and then not connect again. Once they shut off I'd try to put them back on again but the indicator light just flashed white three times. I tried to reset them using multiple different methods, I tried checking for software updates, charging them (not only did this not work but the battery didn't even go up), renaming them, and I even contacted Apple Support who were fine but still couldn't find a solution. My only option was to pay $130 CAD to service them which at that point (they were my second pair as my last ones were damaged) didn't even seem worth it if they were just going to do this again after a while like the last time I fixed them. Not only that but the support things that go around your ear just fell off like it was nothing... normal everyday use not like I was putting them through war.

I'd say just stay away from these things. I've heard lots of people having issues with them but I've also heard and seen people have no troubles with them... but why take the risk instead of just buying another product?

This device is in NO WAY sweat proof. Apple replaced the original pair since it was under warranty. The second pair was effected in the same area as the first. The volume control bar is glued together and sweat eventually dissolves it and destroys them. DO NOT BUY if you plan to use for a long run. Otherwise they worked well..

First off, I'm a hard of hearing. Bought those for running, and loved to listen some music. It was so cool and easy set up to my iPhone. Sometimes, that's thing on and off...WTH? I just lost Beat Powerbeat 3 Wireless in Atlanta for race! Oh well! I think the price too high because of live music on and off. Next time, I won't buying it with overpriced. Airpods could be my next.

Not for daily use, working out

    • Written by Fred H

Pros: 1. Good sound and volume 2. Decent range from phones to source 3. They fit great and hold to the ear 4. Good battery life Cons: They fall apart in 4-8 months if used daily. I take care of them. Always put in case When not in use. They are cheaply made and come apart in several places, earbud, the cover, the volume cover, etc. There are a lot of little pieces glued together that are prone to falling apart. 4 of 5 pairs I bought (worn by 3 different people) had issues and I’ve since talked to several others who say the same. If you’ll only wear them once in a while, you will love them. For daily use, treadmill, etc., find something else.

I guess I'll give it a 2 star because I really enjoyed them at first. Fit in my ears super well, good for running. Unfortunately the charge completely stopped holding after a few months. Boooo.

    Good Sound/Bad for workouts

    • Written by Alan L

Great sound and volume. Terrible for workouts and this is how Beats advertises the earphone. When sweat gets on the earphones, they shutdown and the white light blinks three times. If you wipe them off and let them sit a few minutes, they will work until they get wet again, from sweat. I sent them in ti Apple and they sent them back saying everything is ok. What a bummer. I own multiple Apple products because they normally have good products and great support. Very disappointed!

    Apple Lifer

    • Written by Erik M

I don't mind paying more for a quality product. In fact I prefer it. The Powerbeats3 failed me after 18 months of normal wear and careful handling. Just didn't power up one morning, no red lights, no blinking lights, just dead. With so many other competitor options I will be breaking my string of Apple loyalty when I replace these headphones.

    Battery irritatingly bad

    • Written by Doug A from Ottawa

Sound quality is wonderful...for 20-45 minutes...which is about all I ever get after a full charge. I've tried the tricks. I now carry a charger while I run or cycle because when it suddenly shuts down, I can sometimes trick it into having full life again by plugging it into the charger for a few seconds. But who wants to do THAT? Come on, man! We deserved better.

Stopped working, less than 2 months

    • Written by Della R

I got the beats as a gift. Recently deployed and thought that these would be perfect to take with me. Well after using it 5 days a week, maybe 2 hrs a day (only at the gym) they quit working. The charging light looks as if charging, but once removed it won’t turn on. Then stopped working altogether. I’ve read reviews about resetting and that didn’t work either. What a waste of $$. They were decent while they lasted but I’ll stick to skull candy or JBLs.

    Not reliable

    • Written by Rishi G from Jersey city

These lose the grip with the use and the battery for mine just wouldn’t charge although they were working a day ago. I’ve been using them for a year so I understand getting weaker but not getting discharged. I bought it thinking it’s a longer batter life but not worth it if I could get AirPods for cheaper or even the bose wireless with the charging case are cheaper.
Also to change the battery it costs 100$ which half or 3/4th the price of new ones.

PowerBeats 3 Wireless buttons stop working after work out

    • Written by LIWEI L

After the 50 mins workout, Powerbeats3 Wireless start acting weird by keeping reducing the volume. Right after multiple time reducing volume happened, the buttons stop working. Was trying to reset it, but due to the volume down button is not responding. There is no way to reset it. I can still listen to the music on it, but lost the volume control and failed to use it to make a call.
