Very cheaply made DO NOT BUY

Well I just got back from the genious bar and they were nice but my Beats EP are one month out of warranty and they want $79 to fix which is too expensive considering the original cost. If these were originally $30-40 I would have just thrown them in the garbage. The problem I have (and a lot of people after googling) is the wire became detached inside the cable. So, if I wiggle the connector and hold it just right, the headphones work. These headphones have a fixed cable unlike other Beats that have a replaceable cable. Cosmetically, the connector does not look damaged. The product is not up to Apple's high quality standards and should never have been released without a replaceable cable. They sounded good when they worked, but my strong recommendation to anyone considering this product is to look elsewhere. I regret this purchase and will only consider headphones (with wired connectors) having sturdier or replaceable cables.

    Headphones for small baby heads

Headphones are very small even in max size. feel like a condom on my head, your previous/other models are not like that please mention head circumference where the sizing is very very limited even with adjusments. otherwise sounds is excellent and high quality build. but still :S small and my head is not watermelon size.

    Not built to last

Purchased these for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas. We’re just a month in and they are coming apart. My viewpoint might change if they allow us an exchange.

Beats EP On-Ear Wired Stereo Headphone

I bought three of the Beats EP's, because the price was so good. One for me, one for wife, one for a friend. The sound is amazingly good considering it costs less than half of the Solo 3 headphone. In fact, for outdoor/portable use the sound is perfect. When used indoors with a good quality stereo system, the sound can be tweaked if needed by tone controls or EQ apps, to match nearly anyone's taste. The results are amazing. Highly recommended.

    Worst quality Beats EVER

I desperately wish I had read these reviews before I bought the Beats EP. Paid $130 for them at Best Buy for a birthday present for my niece and they didn't last 3 months, with probably less than average use, before the tip broke off in her new ipad Santa brought her for Christmas. We can't get the part out of the ipad, so it is basically ruined for headphones. And we can't replace the cord on the Beats b/c it's built in. Reading on here this isn't covered in the warranty ticks me off. With SO many people having this same problem, this should most definitely be covered by warranty and any beats that break like this should be replaced. I would expect this from $10 headphones, but not ones that cost $130. They should last longer than 3 months. It's ridiculous that Apple isn't doing better by their customers who spend SO much money with them.

    Possibly need recall on Jack for Beats EP{

I really enjoyed these headphones! For a couple of days. When I went to pull them out of the headphone port, the jack on the headphones broke off in phone, and now they won't work anymore. I'd recommend them, just be super careful- apparently they break easily. The gold and white jack, needs to be recall,,same thing happen with 2nd pair I gave grandson for grift

    Do not buy!!!!

We purchased these Beats EP for my son for Christmas. He was listening to a video on his laptop. Turned his head to say something to my husband and the headphone jack broke in half. One half is still stuck in his laptop! He used them for less than a week. Called Apple as well as went to the store and was told it would cost $80 for fix the headphones. So now the laptop is messed up and we have broken headphones. After doing research, I found out many people have had the exact same problem. Do not waste your money and risk messing up your devices.

    Great Until It’s Not

Okay I have had these headphones for about 7 months and all of a sudden they have shut completely down. There is no sound coming out of them even though I followed all of the trouble shooting solutions on this site. So overall I really like these headphones but if they quit on me after less than a year. So I don’t think I would recommend these to a friend for what has happened.

    Best Value For Money

This is the best value for money for the beats headphones. The bass is strong so it gives this punch to every track you hear. The mid and high could be better but, the way that this headphone was tuned is good enough for you to use for any type of music. Great sound, amazing build, minimalist design and flat cord. Love it

    Very good headphones!

Recently got these headphones in the blue colour, I think there design is very much on the higher end, especially with the metal design. Sound very good, exaggerated bass but I guess that’s what you sign up for when you buy beats headphones. Mind you the bass does sound very good with certain songs, and still always prove themselves very good headphones. These may be my new favourite headphones, but only if you take price and branding into mind. Btw I did mean to put 4 stars if you were wondering.

Extremely uncomfortable = Extremely useless for me

This is a honest review from a disappointed customer. These headphones are a pain to wear for me, and the longer you wear them, the more painful they become! Probably the most painful headphones I have ever bought. The sound is below average, for some songs, it sounds like you're listening to music under water while sitting inside an airplane. That's the best way I can describe the sound experience with these headphones. When wearing them, they press incredibly hard against your ears and head, and it feels like they keep "biting" harder for every minute, giving me headache after several hours of use. Looking at the design, this is not surprising, they don't adjust to your ears or head at all, they don't fold or bend much at all. I tried to bend both the steel frame and the hoop, this lessens the biting pressure for some few minutes, but then the painful bite/pressing comes back. The "cushion" cups are not soft at all, and are way too thin, or at least the material they used is too hard. In your hand, they feel like medium to hard rubber. On your ears, they feel like rocks pressing harder and harder. In my view, these headphones doesn't represent the Beats brand in a good way. For the over $100 I paid, they lack comfort, overall quality and sound quality. There are plenty of better alternatives for way lower prices. Also, they are marketed for being lightweight. They weigh about 200 grams (0,2 kg), which is quite heavy compared to similar headphones of this size, they would be lightweight if the weight was 100 grams (0,1 kg) or less. Therefore, I cannot give these headphones more than 1 star. Even if you want headache, I do not recommend these headphones, and I hope that Apple/Beats staff will listen to my review before they make their next model of headphones.

    Solid low cost Beats option

I bought these about a year ago right when they came out and have been using them since basically as my primary day to day multimedia headphones. (Used Audio Technica M20x which are now my mixing only headphones, a 6ft non detachable wire doesn’t work for general use.) They’ve held up surprisingly well for me. Plenty of padding on the ears and headband across the top. At first I tossed them in the cloth bag they came with but anymore I just wrap the cable around the headphones and toss them in my bag to go. They don’t fold but the frame is metal with some plastic on the outside and a non detachable 3.5mm jack. They are pretty flexible for Beats too. You have to be super rough with these in order to damage them I believe for my use.

Sound quality is better than beats I’ve used in the past. Mids and highs are better but overall it’s still a bass heavy headphone. Sound does leak if the volume gets high enough and they aren’t noise canceling at all. I’d never use these while mixing audio ever but for general media consumption they do the job and they have a solid build and really simple and clean design.

    Deserve a better rating.

These headphones sound crystal clear, with strong bass and good treble...ONLY if you use an equalizer. As standard, they sound really flat and plain, with decent bass but little treble, meaning they're overall very unclear (they sound a lot like the original Solo HDs). However I couldn't be happier with them when I use an equalizer to fix their complete lack of treble.

The build quality is great too. They actually feel better built than the more expensive Solos and Studios I've had, although they do look less expensive from a distance. The only thing that feels cheap is the cord, but it's held up well so far.

Overall these are a good deal for beats, but you really have to equalize them to take advantage of their actual capabilities.

Beats has an issue with defective wiring (just search online how many forums there are for audio issues, especially losing sound on one side) that they will not acknowledge. For the amount of money they are charging, we were duped once - never again! Buy Bose or Sony before you buy this junk!

    Solo2 & earbuds

Over the last three years I've spent $600 on one pair in solo2 headphones and three pairs of earbuds. Three out of the four no longer work and the fourth pair belongs to my wife that hardly ever uses them. Poor quality, I will never spend another dollar on a beats product and neither will anyone that I talk to about them. Very disappointed!
