    Great piece of Hardware!

    • Written by Christopher R from Davenport

I have used both versions of the Magic Mouse and just and every mouse Apple has made going back to the mouse for the original 128K Mac. This mouse holds up to that standard. It's a refined evolution of the device to the point that it makes you wonder where they will go next. After tweaking the settings a bit I have had no problems with it. I'm not sure why folks are giving it such bad reviews, or is it all because the charge port is on the bottom? charge it at night and you won't have the issue you are making up. If the charge port were on the end you'd complain it's in the way.

The best mouse I have used

    • Written by Peter D from Auburn

It works perfectly in all applications. It requires a slight change in hand position compared to the previous magic mouse, which is absolutely no problem to manage. It moves smoothly on any surface and tracks, swipes and clicks accurately. Almost all of the complaints in negative reviews can be fixed by modifying mouse settings in preferences or by changing hand position. As with most negative reviews of most products that I have read people simply do not know how to use the product properly.

    Solid product

    • Written by John S from Matthews

I bought this mouse in 2017 to use with my MacBook Pro and I have zero regrets, despite the $79 price tag. It seamlessly connects via Bluetooth to my computer whenever in range. I find it a very convenient way to interact with my computer. If you are new to it the gestures may be a bit awkward but it is easy to get used to. Holds a charge for a long time and I can just plug it into my computer using my USB adapter but it comes with a normal USB charging cord that you can plug into a typical USB adapter. Overall very pleased with the product.

Love this mouse. No need for batteries and charges very fast in a pinch.

    • Written by Clayton M from Haymarket

Absolutely great product. Especially for traveling. I love not having to worry about my next set of batteries especially when on the road. I use rechargeable batteries and do not like to discard disposables which makes it more of a road process than I care for. Works very well compared to the previous mouse model that I still have with my iMac but has a big battery management advantage and a definite improvement. Sets up easily by just plugging it in to the computer.

I am not sure why the other reviewers are complaining about having to plug it in at the bottom for a charge. No you can not use it while charging but why would you want to? It will last 8 hours on a 2 minute charge. Yes 2 minutes. If you forgot to charge it just plug it in and go get a cup of coffee or get your mail. Then charge it that night for a full charge. It takes 6 hours to get about 6 weeks of use. If your not very organized just put a note on your calendar to charge it at night once a month. For me I just plug it in at night in the hotel once a month or so. I definitely plan to get a couple more for the Macs at the house.

I can’t work without the magic mouse!

    • Written by Maher S from San Francisco

I love this mouse, very intuitive and accurate! Slim and sleek I love the design.

If I have some complains it would be that my mouse disconnects a lot, I have no idea why!? I bought this mouse because I thought my previous was running out of batteries always thats why its disconnecting. But maybe that wasnMt the problem.

Also, its sad when you charge it you can’t use it. I mean I love Apple but maybe a better design for charging while working?

I’m giving 5 stars because I believe Apple can deliver better.

    Incredible Battery Life!

    • Written by Cheryl W from Leesburg

I've been completely happy (how often is it possible to say THAT about a purchase?!) with the Magic Mouse 2 my husband got for me to use as an alternative to the trackpad on my MacBook Air. It's performed perfectly, since the very first time I used it, and I couldn't be more pleased with the battery life, ergonomics, and beauty of this little baby. It's sleek cover stays cool-to-the-touch during hours of use, requires very little space to maneuver in any way needed, is perfectly weighted to not come up off the table/desk, and scrolling is a dream--only requires a light stroke up, down, left or right. I use it for hours almost every day, frequently forgetting to turn it off between uses, and have only had to recharge it TWICE in at least 4 months!! (I'm actually understating the time between charges because I can't remember the exact purchase date). I've seriously NEVER had a rechargeable ANYTHING last like this mouse does! So, I definitely do not care where the port is to plug in the charging cable! And to those who have such a major issue with the few hours (at most) the Magic Mouse 2 is unusable while charging, I'd like to ask where else they think the designers could have put it?! I'm thinking those who are nitpicking a beautiful piece of well-designed technology need to spend the occasional hour or two of Magic Mouse 2 recharging time in a relaxing yoga session or perhaps meditating for stress relief.

    I love it!

    • Written by Kathy B from Chico

I upgraded a couple of months ago to this mouse and love it. I don't have an issue like many of the other reviews that they can't use the mouse when it is charging. A message appears on your screen that the battery is getting low long before it actually stops working. It also charges fast so you can plug it in between tasks here and there if you don't want to fully charge it all at one. I love not having to replace batteries, even using rechargeable ones, this is so much better. Thanks Apple for another winner.

    Love this little mouse

    • Written by Vladimir G from Arlington

By far the best mouse I've ever used. The touch controls are the best, no other mouse comes close to this. Ability to swipe with one or two fingers is the best feature. I'm a designer and using this in all Adobe products is superb, the sensitivity is just right. I have no issue with charging the mouse once a month when I sleep, not sure why it bothers others so much. But then again, people love to hate on Apple.

I don't unterstand the other reviews... You DON'T NEED corded use. I need to charge the mouse every 2-4 weeks. Therefor I have to say, that I use the mouse very often (mostly 4-6 hours per day). When I forgot to charge it, I can charge the mouse for 5 minutes and can use it after this short charging time for more than an hour. Great product!

    Best Mouse EVER!!

    • Written by Troy K from Dayton

I am not a computer expert by any means, andI generally do not write reviews, but in this case I just have to say how much I love my new Magic Mouse 2!!! I have spent the last 7 years using my MacBook Pro, which I absolutely love, but after starting my new business this year, decided it was time to upgrade to something to handle my business needs. So, I got an iMac, and it came with the keyboard and the Magic Mouse 2. After using the mouse for several days and figuring out how to use it to get the most out of it, I have decided that I absolutely love this mouse!! Scrolling has never been easier! I love that it is light, sleek, and very responsive! Maybe a slight drawback that the charging port is on the bottom, but not enough inconvenience to change my rating.

    Love it.

    • Written by Ariel K from Dallas

Maybe a previous batch had problems to elicit all the negative reviews, but I love it. Sure, you have to get used to not accidentally clicking or scrolling. But once you get used to it, the swiping, two-finger swiping, scrolling, zooming, and right clicking are all very intuitive and useful. I've been using it at work daily for the past two weeks without charging it, and the battery is currently at 79%. It says it charges quickly, so, while the charging port is stupidly on the bottom, it doesn't seem like it will be too much of an inconvenience when I finally have to charge it.

Finally a mouse that holds its own charge... and for a long time!

    • Written by Walt J from Phoenix

Perfect upgrade to the previous battery-powered Magic Mouse. My old one lasted many years without a hitch, and my new MM2 came with a new computer purchase. I guess I don't understand the barrage of negative comments about this product. My favorite is the complaint about the charging port being located on the underside of the mouse, so you can't charge and use it at the same time. Oh brother! Charge it overnight-- duh! I'm on the computer all day, every day and it holds a charge for WEEKS. After a couple of weeks I'll check the battery level and it's usually still about 75% charged. If someone can't remember to plug the mouse in once every couple of weeks, then the problem lies with the user, not the mouse. My only slightly negative comment would be about the price. Yes, a bit pricey. But I don't mind paying for something that holds its own charge for long periods, is comfortable in the hand, glides around easily, is durable and will last me many years of clicking.

    good mouse

    • Written by Ifons S from Riga

I have been using it for a few weeks, as a replacement to my razer orochi elite. This mouse is awesome! The bluetooth works out of the box (as opposed to razer's), the gestures are awesome, battery life good, my hand doesn't feel like anything has been sacrificed ergonomics wise, the only thing that annoys me is accidentally gesturing "back" while scrolling, altho I know where and how to disable this feature, I like to be able to swipe back and forward, so just gotta re-learn where to put my finger when scrolling. Also not being able to use it while charging (I've yet to charge it tho) doesn't seem so bad - 2hrs per month of using trackpad is sorta alright.

The Hands-Down Best Mouse I Have Ever Used OMG!

    • Written by Jonathan M

The Magic Mouse 2 was the most exciting package I've ever gotten since my mom wouldn't let me borrow her mouse because she needed her computer for work. So when it came, I paired it with my computer and it was such a nice experience! I'm using it currently to write this post. I don't care what anyone says. This is the hands-down best mouse I have ever used. It is slim, uses Multi-Touch Gestures making it kind of like an iPhone screen which is great, I can put my finger anywhere and it scrolls, It doesn't work well with games like Minecraft and ROBLOX, however, I can live with it. I give this 5/5!

First ever hardware review since 2006. Decided to review this product since most people rated it poorly. This product works perfectly for me based on how I use it which is as follows

    1) Occasionally - I probably use this product for 5-7 hours each day with my 2016 Macbook Pro 13"

    2) With basic programs - Works very well for the programs I use which includes Chrome, Spotify, Photos and Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint)

The biggest reason why you get a product like this is to use it with a Mac. It connects well, shows battery life, charges quickly and should work perfectly for 80% of users. People who work with photoshop, or need it for gaming should look elsewhere (based on other comments).

My Background: I am a 33 year old e-commerce entrepreneur with a background in business and Engineering. I am fairly technical but I really like products that just work (with minimal fuss and tinkering). I own a 13" Macbook Pro (2016, also owned a 2013 model), Iphone 6, Time capsule, Airport Express, Ipad 2, and a few Sonos devices. Keep the above in mind when you read my reviews.

Good mouse if you have the claw grip and a small hand

    • Written by Khoi D from Garden Grove

I can understand the bad review, most of them have big hand. I have a rather small hand + a claw gripping style, it is quite comfortable to grip and move the mouse.

It goes along really well with the iMac and tracks well enough (not as well as my laser gaming mouse though). It allows me to scroll with ease not only vertically but also horizontally. Double tap to zoom in, double tap with 2 fingers to activate mission control or swipe 2 fingers to scroll between full screen apps. It works so well with the Mac OS.

Works well and looks like an Apple product

    • Written by Michael D from Malmö

I think the Magic Mouse 2 suits me well. It blend in well together with my MacBook Pro.

I could easily have found me a cheaper "PC" style mouse that would have worked just as well, but not as good looking.

    Wonderful Innovation

    • Written by Bill H from Cedar Hill

I am not sure why there are so many that use the same exact words, "Worst Design Ever", but it seems that the main redesign is to move from disposable batteries to rechargeable. Thank goodness for that, less batteries in the landfill. The Mouse worked great right out of the box and there does not seem to be any erratic movements as some describe. I assume it would be due to static electricity, but as I live in an area that is frequently 26% Rh, I have not had problems. Bravo, Apple!
