    Good connectivity, adequate sound

If you have $150, and you want (reliable) bluetooth connectivity, a sleek design, comfortable ergonomics, and a brand name bluetooth earbud, this is it. The Beats X has the best bluetooth connectivity I've ever had in a pair of earbuds. The battery is adequate for the slim size, and the around the neck fit is perfect. I had a neck collar device at one point, not cute. These, are. The sound quality is meh, but the feature list for the price is very good. If you want pure sound quality for $150, get a wired pair from a lesser known brand.

P.S. just use common sense...if you have had bluetooth issues before and hate bluetooth, don't buy these. If you run a lot with these, don't cry when they break (not workout buds), if you don't like cords, but a pair of all wireless, if you can barely afford them, don't buy them. You'll be wanting better sound quality, which you can get with cheaper wired buds. If you don't like beats, these won't impress you.

    Solid 4

Buttons work now and then. Ear-hooks are easy to break. Apart from that - happy with the product.

    Why I bought these instead

I have owned both Airpods and beats X
Personally I prefer the Beats X. For a few reasons ( don’t worry I’ll keep it short )

    1. AirPod, while it’s a most size fit all, they don’t fit me, after about 2hrs of in ear it hurts so bad.
Beats X come with a multiple types of squishy buds so you will find the perfect fit
    2. I can’t wear AirPods in a moto helmet, the stems grab the straps and they dig into your ear
    3. Actual controls on he headset, I don’t need to grab my device for any reason while playing music or anything for that matter
Lastly I feel like because I get a better fit with Beats X it just sounds better.

I will say AirPods have the better battery life, and better call quality in my opinion. If you like the headphones that come with your iPhone, and don’t need to put a helmet on... you’ll love AirPods

Great product, but it has flaws

Great product with easy pairing to my iPhone. It only took a matter of seconds, and it was smooth and flawless. I also really liked the fast-charging, and especially the lightning cable! It makes it so much easier for iPhone users, having to just remember one cable. The big selection of "wings" and different earpieces was also a nice addition. And last but not least, the magnet "clipping" the two pieces together was pretty helpful when you are walking around. I think the cable was a little too long for my taste, especially because it was kind of stiff. You have to hide the long wires down in your sweater, which is pretty annoying at times. But, it may be different for taller persons, because then the extra height will compensate with the length of the wire. The sound quality could also been a lot better, but it is okay if you do not have very high expectations. But, at the end of the day; these are really good earphones. They are very comfortable in the ears, and do not fall out. Worth the money!

    Great purchase

I’ve owned the wireless beats 2 headphones, original earbuds, and now the BeatsX and these are by far my favorite. I really enjoy earbuds over headphones so When bought these i was a little skeptical at first but when they arrived I instantly loved them. They fit really well with wing tips. The only improvement I would suggest is longer battery life but a few min worth of charge last me another hour and a half or so it balances out in desperate times. Overall I really enjoy these. The sound is Great for the price. I paid $99 during the holidays

    Second chance

The first was very poor and disconnect continually, changed two weeks later with new one is good experience.
Hey guys they disconnected and auto power off instantly when the two magnets go on!

good headphones but you'll have to buy another case for them

The old earbuds case was nice, it was a HARD case with a zipper. But of course beats had something good going and had to downgrade. The new case is a soft silicon sleeve that doesn't actually close. Since it's soft silicon it sticks to your pocket or wherever you put the case. Not to mention the headphones and charger completely fall out all the time. My headphones have fallen out onto the ground numerous times because of the ridiculous case. It's disappointing that I was excited for a good quality product but it's tainted by beats decision to go the cheap route for something as small but necessary as the case. Gave this review 4 stars because they're great headphones but beats customer service couldn't fix the only problem I had and send me the old zippered case.

    Love the product but...

Overall this is a great Apple product. The only downside is the removable wing tips are too easy to remove so Ive already lost 3 of the 4 and Ive only owned the product for a month now. The only way to have them replaced is by contacting Apple to order them. I feel they should be available through the Apple store, but it would be much better if they weren’t removable. I don’t really see the point.

Good but not worth the money

The sound is great, but I’m not comfortable with the eartips sizes ! And we all know we buy beats products for the amount of the BASS they produced in their products, but with the BeatsX the bass level feels to me is so neutral !

    Awesome

I bought my beats X at an airport just before an international flight. Setting up was a breeze and I was already using it within 10 minutes of opening the box. I like the way it seats around the neck with absolutely no feeling of weight or friction on the skin, sound quality is awesome!!! One thing I wish was included in the box is a lightning to 3.5mm cable, I really wished I could plug my beats X in while watching movies in the aircraft. The magnet buds are awesome too, it gives me a bit of assurance my earphones are secure around my neck, but I would really like that the magnet action can put the beats X to sleep and conserve some battery power. Overall, I love the beats X and I’m happy I own one. By the way, it has great range, even with multiple walls between me and my iPhone.

    AWESOME!!!!

I LOVE THEM! Beats toned down the bass to be just perfect where it’s punchy at low volume and really satisfying at high volume. Lows, Mids, Highs are AMAZING. Battery life is pretty good and they charge fast (15 minutes). The only thing I would have to complain about is quality control. My first pair lasted me 6 months until they started flashing colors. Took them to apple and it took them A WEEK to just tell me that they speaker is punctured and thats why the battery light was flashing. After another 3 days i got a new pair and they have since been good.

    Great Earphones

Beats X have really good sound, the bass isn’t quit what I prefer but luckily I can adjust the bass in my iPhone settings. The noise cancellation is really good, I couldn’t even hear my urine hitting the water in my toilet when I had my music at around 80% volume. I would definitely recommend these.

    Great Earphones

Great sound! I can hear all of the elements of the music at a low to middle volume range. This is wonderful; high volume is not necessary to enjoy music. I like the lightweight construction of the earphones. I can wear them all day at work and not worry about a potential headache due to weight of the earphones. I like the color options; please add more colors. Inform people of the potential in-ear canal placement learning curve. Some of us are still nervous about ear damage. Educate us “how” to insert and place the earphones. Thus the nervousness can be placed to the side and we can embark on one of the best musical experiences. Dr. Dre and Apple, great job! Thank you.

    Best earphones ever, period. But...

I love my BeatsX, my girlfriend loves here's and my friends love their's. They are so great I'm recommending it to everyone. The sound is very good (I was surprised that Beats finally sounds good) and they're very easy to use. But? But they've some problems with turning on. My first pair, bought right after the release, won't turn on. The service exchanged it for the new pair and they work perfect, but I'm worried that this may happen again.

    The Best Out There!

Love my Beats X! The sounds quality is amazing, the battery life is great and I love that I can charge them with my iphone cord! The fast charge time is the icing on the cake. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think the cord that connects the buds look a little awkward--but maybe I'm just picky! The pro of having the cord is the mic, the con is just having the cord to deal with around your neck.

    Outstanding Product. Outstanding Sound.

I have avoided the Beats headphones for years because the traditional, over-the-ear type is really not my style. However, I was not thrilled with the headset that comes with the iphone. I wanted a product that I could use for music as well as for making calls. Enter the Beats X. I bought it, tried it and loved it. Fits snugly in my ears, has awesome sound and provides a call experience on par with devices made specifically for that. The price tag may seem steep, but if you consider the cost of purchasing both a headset for music and a device for taking calls, the Beats X is a bargin. Love the product so much, I bought one for my husband.

    Really good wireless earphones

These are well made and great sounding. Well worth every penny they cost. With the iPhone 7 and newer without a headphone jack, they become very valuable. Pairing is also easy and clean with apple W1 chip. Battery life could be better... And that would be the only reason I would suggest you wait and see if beats makes any improvements. Beats also releases software updates to the headphones occasionally.. which is great for numerous reasons.

Average battery life, lightning cable compatibility

8 hours of Battery Life Tops seems short, but the Fast Fuel technology (45 minutes for a full charge) with Apple Lightning Cable compatibility more thank makes up for it. The audio is OK (9/16 bars on an iPhone 7 for optimal volume) for a Beats product. The Class 1 NFC is optimized for iOS devices since the iPhone 7 era, but it may be a chore to hook it up to other bluetooth devices or any Class 2 Bluetooth Host. This is one of Beats's more original offerings, but given that it's in its first inception, it has some room for improvement.
