good wireless headphones but kills phone battery

    • Written by Kaleb W from Murrieta

Very good wireless earbuds only to find out it kills your phone battery so make sure to bring a battery bank or something for your phone because it will drain the battery quick mine went from 95% to 52% in an hour of listening so apple needs to fix it or I use wired ones permanently I have an iPhone x btw

Happy with these. They are great however not for everyone.

    • Written by Stephen G from Houston

I’ve owned these for 6 months. Swapped a set out under warranty for mic issues with voice fading in and out when I speak to Siri or talk to people. I have conversations outside in wind conditions or loud environments involving providing serial numbers and the agent on the other end of the line hears every bit loud and clear. Amazing! Ive owned many Bluetooth ear pieces such as plantronics, jawbone - one of my previous favorites, jaybird x3 which was decent but I got tired of loosing ear tips and returned. There are no adapters to fit various sizes of ears so fitting in your ears is a hit or miss. I work outdoors in the communication field climbing ladders, stairs, carrying tools, attics etc and they have not fallen out once. There is gps tracking and playing cricket sounds on find my iPhone to find them. I’m very happy with airports. I like the charging case and that it uses the same lightening cable from Apple as the phones and iPads. If 1 of 2 gets removed from the ear or falls out, music does stop to give you a heads up. Sometimes I forget they are in my ear lol. Win!

Wish they were squishy instead of hard plastic

    • Written by Cristina S from Spokane

These are incredible as far as sound. Unmatched!!!!!!! And I had the best LG wireless headphones out. That said. For me, either my ear holes are just too small, or idk why but, they fall out constantly! My hair pulls them out. Taking off sweaters, pulls them out or they get caught in the sweater. They’ve fallen into the washing machine and into the garbage. And once I had to move my whole entire couch to find one that fell out. I’ve decided to never wear them out of the house. Also it is extremely annoying that when I attempt to adjust one, it hangs up on people. My husband has the Samsung Obed which are even better ... they have the squishy little insert thing. The sound is just as good :(

    A must have

    • Written by Charlie R from Waco

Ive put some time in on these. Monday - Friday 8 hours a day listening to a mix of podcasts and music. If these were to ever fail, it would be an instant re-purchase for me. The case fits perfect in that little pocket no one uses on your jeans, the batteries last long enough to get me to lunch, then I charge them while I eat, and the are ready to go for the 2ed half of the day. Perfect wireless earbuds. Love it

    Best Headphones Ever

    • Written by Gavin N from West Point

I was always skeptical about buying these, a bunch of my friends had them but I just thought they were over priced pieces of junk. I decided to buy them last August and they have proved me wrong. The bass is unbelievable, the ear detection is a life saver. I would suggest to buy these 100%. If you love great headphones get these, they are worth it.

    SO Worth the Price

    • Written by Stephen D from Wilmington

I have been a long time apple user, and I have always been happy with their products. Apple earbuds are the only ones that do not fall out my ears. I had been wanting to get Airpods for awhile, but I was unsure if I wanted to spend 160 dollars on wireless headphones if it really wasn't worth it. I eventually caved, and I'm so glad I did. These headphones have exceeded my expectations. The sound is clear, defined and crisp. The Airpods are very comfortable in my ears, and I have experienced no trouble with them falling out while at the gym, or using them at work. The charge is incredibly impressive on the headphones itself and the charging case. The case needs to be charged once for less than an hour about every week and a half. The double tap for Siri is a very helpful feature, since now that my headphones are wireless, I will leave my phone in a different room because the music goes with me. Even though my phone might not be at my grasp, I am still able to change my song, call a family member, or turn the volume on my music up. These headphones are expensive, but if you love music and are constantly on the go, these headphones are worth every penny.

    Oh. My. God.
After a few long weeks of research & wondering if I wanted to make the commitment of $100+ for these wireless earpods, I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and purchase them ... aka these are what I gave myself as an early Christmas present this year! (Lol, adult life)
The verdict is - I’M SO FREAKING HAPPY WITH THESE!
So easy to use, great battery life, excellent sound quality & you can have Siri/different commands! They pair effortlessly to my iPhone 8 Plus as well.
If you’re wondering if you should get these or not - JUST GET THEM!
You’ll be happy you did ;)

Bad battery after a year and a half

    • Written by Crispaul O from Spring Valley

I purchased my AirPods in June 2017. Definitely love them and used them constantly. Today, November 2018, the AirPods battery can only hold 1 hour worth of charge while being used on calls or only 2 hours of use listening to music. I used to be able to able to get 5-7 hours doing a mixture of both. I've probably used it 70% of the time working M-F for the past year and a half so I think I got some miles out of them but the fact that it costs $50 a pod to replace the battery hardly makes economic sense. What this tells me is that I probably need to purchase a new pair of AirPods every year and a half just to satisfy my levels of usability.

I was very surprised by the sound quality of these little guys. I had bought a cheap, non-apple brand once before and they were garbage. My wife bought these for me for a Bday present. I have been using them daily ever since. They do not completely cancel noise around you, but fit snug and and block most of it. The quality of the speakers is amazing for such a small speaker. Just clear and clean music or radio. They are comfortable enough that I fall asleep with them in almost every night. I love that when falling asleep, they lose battery and pause/turn off my device. (I'm a person who has to hear the TV or Radio while falling asleep). I love that they turn off automatically when you take them out saving battery. The charge time is incredibly fast. Other than at night, they will run all day on a charge. I may charge them during lunch or between meetings, but have never had them run out of juice while working. I hope they last as good as they sound.

    Fantastical but can fall-out

    • Written by Mark F from ORLANDO

I've been using the AirPods from the time they were launched and have been thrilled to use them. Great sound, easy to pair (inc. non-Apple devices), and can be located with Find my Phone if the pods are outside the case. Contrary to the hype, they can fall-out, esp. if you're lying down and happen to tilt your head a tad. In fact, mine fell out while I was in a dental and it was a real chore to recover one that had slipped underneath the dental chair. As a suggestion to Apple, I'd like to see the AirPods in different colors, esp.black or grey.

    Don't buy them

    • Written by Ariel W from Honolulu

I've been using these for about a year now, and while yes they still sound great, the connectivity issues are just inexcusable. I don't know how there are so many good reviews on these because I literally got them replaced after a while and I still have the same problems. Often, my earbuds just randomly feel like disconnecting and have to be put back into their case and then back into my ears. Often, one will disconnect but not the other, and I also often have problems switching between apple devices.

Furthermore, they have a pretty short battery life, and little magnetic dirt/dust particles build up really easily on the magnets and are honestly kind of hard to get off! And, least importantly but still noteworthy, this just isn't a beautiful product as most apple products are. Seriously, Apple dropped the ball with this one.

Don't waste your money on these.

    Awesome!....but DO NOT LAST LONG

    • Written by Matt S from Strongsville

Love the Airpods even recommended them to many people! Described them as "Life Changing" Now after having them for only a year and half, cannot use them on a plane and normal phone calls are hard to hear. 6 months out of warranty and can replace them for $69.00 each ear!! The Apple store was nice enough to let me know there are new ones coming out and I can wait and buy those. Seems reasonable!

    Spontaneously stops working

    • Written by NewNew C from San Antonio

It just decided to stop working one day. Its connected to my computer and everything but doesn't play any sound. Tried unconnecting and reconnecting but still no sound. It has become an absolutely frustrating chore to try and get them to work again and there is no reason why something as fundamentally simple as getting them to play sound should become a time consuming chore.

    • Written by david B

I can't even begin to express my appreciation for this technology. Looked for earbuds similar to these for a few days on Amazon, all with mostly negative reviews. Had no idea Airbuds we're compatible with Android Apple or I would've thrown my money at you sooner.

    It’s Been Rough

    • Written by David S from Georgetown

Wish I could be raving about these. Been a long time user of Apple devices with a wife and 4 kids. I bought two sets of AirPods as I travel 80% of the time, spend a decnt amount of time on the phone and liked the idea of not getting caught up in the cords, etc. Never taken the time to write a review outside of this one. Fairly laid back and understand the challenges being in technology myself. Easily the worst Apple purchase in 12 years. The battery life is terrible even when swapping sets. The airpods are inconsistant in performance. In flight now and can’t get the left pod to work despite being fully charged after 3 weeks.

Thought I had a lemon but seems to be an ongoing issue. Better to pick up a the first round at happy hour than buy a set.

The best all around Apple product I have ever owned !

    • Written by Jesse W from Hebron

Amazing design. Easy to use. Great range and connectivity . Recently passed 9 months with my airpors and started seeing the battery life start to drop!
Took them to the Apple store and the replaces them free of charge. The airpods have been the one Apple product I have held onto for the longest. I recommended them to anyone with any type of phone!

    They sound great
Use them anywhere and sure you will get stares but who cares they rock!

For the price 169 I'd say it was the best purchase I have made in years

Only if pairing to 1 Device

    • Written by Jordan S from Denver

These are great if you only plan on using them with one Apple device. If, like me, you own multiple Apple products that you'd like to use these with you will be greatly disappointed. Apple, for the life of them, cannot figure this out. They cannot figure out how to allow for easy, fluid connectivity to all of your devices. If you want to switch from say your iPhone to your Macbook Pro, you'll probably end up throwing the airpods across the room before you'll ever get them to connect.

Apple, do us a favor and fix one of the most basic things out there, with your "incredibly advanced" W2 Bluetooth chip, that is clearly not incredibly advance. Thanks.
