    Great stuff. Like always

Not used to writing reviews, but seriously these headphones deserve more than a 3 star average. These are my latest beats products purchased and I can't be any happier. Great sound quality and noise insulation. Also superior battery life. My solo 2 lasted good 3 years and so I expect these to do.

    Complete trash

I am so absolutely disgusted that I paid a premium price for what I was hoping would be a premium product and it literally only worked twice before it refused to play any audio, despite being connected to bluetooth and me messing around with trial and error of internet fixes on how to correct this issue. Completely dissatisfied and I definitely will not be purchasing anything of the like ever again. What a complete waste of money.

    Simple perfection

I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed with my pair of Beats Solo 3's. From opening the box they came in, to using them among many different devices, what always stood out was the engineering that went into them. Perfect sound, with a nice touch of keeping ambient sound out, all the time keeping nice high, low, and mid range playback top notch. The quality of theses headphones are simply unrivaled by competitors Im completely happy with my purchase and will probably never own any other brands, because I need music in my life, and I gotta have the best. I recommend them, its as simple as that. You will not regret it, and thats a promise.

    No good

Worst head phones. The sound is cheap and tinny. They have to be placed in your ears a very certain way to sound good, and they don’t stay in your ears like that. Don’t even think about using these for running—they don’t stay in ears properly and are apparently not sweat resistant. The battery time boasts 8 hours—HA. Longest battery has lasted since day one has been like 3 hours. I got these 8 months ago and they stopped working today. Worst ever.

    Good

I have had my Beats solo 3 headphones for just over 1 year and I love the sound. Now I realize that the quality is really bad :( I recommend getting the warranty. The nice person at Apple helped me out and got me a semi used pair for $190 witch is a lot of money but cheeper than the $300 for new ones.

    Not recommended

These headphones lasted me about a year. Now the wireless feature doesn’t work and no sound comes out of the right side. While it lasted, it was pretty comfortable and the bass was good but still not worth 300$. Worst money spent ever.

    Absolutely Awesome

These pair of headphones are so comfortable and worth it. The sound is pretty awesome especially for EDM music. Love em!

    Not worth the money

These headphones work great in wireless mode, but when you plug them in that changes. Out of the box I plugged the headphones into my iphone and only one side worked. I then tried my wife's phone, and the problem still persisted. I went back to the store and traded the headphones out for a new pair. The new pair had the exact same issue. When I tried wireless mode, the headphones work great. I am fine with paying apple prices due to their great track record, but this is pretty unsettling. We got these headphones as part of the back to school promotion. If I had to pay $300 out of pocket, I would have returned them and never looked back.

    nah

I bought these a while back, but never reviewed. Love the color and sound....but a few months after wearing them to the gym a few days a week, the sound stopped working in one ear. It works if I bend it a certain way and make no other sudden movements. I wouldn't buy again!

Sounds are great; headphones are horrible

I'm barely an audiophile, but the quality of sound is super important to me whenever I'm using any headphones. The Beats Solo3 have done a good job capturing every note and nuances in a given song so I don't really have much to complain there. The reason why I'm giving these headphones 2 out of 5 stars is because less than a year after using them, the left side of the headphone snapped due to the shape of my head. It's ridiculous that these $300 headphones aren't able to adapt to different head sizes and that if your head is not perfectly round, then you would risk breaking the headphones. Additionally, my beats had problems connecting to my Mac and would stop capturing sound after like 30 minutes of connecting the headphones to the bluetooth on my Mac (i.e. music would be playing but you wouldn't hear anything from the headphones; most of the time I would have to the connect the Mac to the headphones using an adapter cable that comes with the headphones). Please do yourself a favor and do NOT buy these headphones unless you have a pretty round head... in which case maybe these might be worth buying.

good enough music sound, however sound quality of calls can get very bod

Generally, music sounds good. Headphone are quite tight on the head, and since I wear glasses this make the top of my ears hurt after a short time of using. For this price, active noise reduction should be included. Sound on phone calls using bluetooth can get very scratchy, even with the phone only 2-3 feet away and nothing in-between, listening to music this doesn't occur even at longer distances.

    Leather comes off the headset

I wish I can upload pics here so everyone can see how the manufacturer is failing. I spend $299 on a headphone and the glue does not stick the leather so the leather starts coming off! Sorry, this product failed.

    Broke after 3 months

Headband snapped after 3 months of normal usage. Power button is very hard to press. Sound quality is poor. Zero bass. Would not recommend. They are crazy over priced for being such cheap quality.

Best headphones I’ve ever used period!

I’ve tried countless top brand head phones, for phones and consoles. Until I used beats solo 3s my favorite was the turtle beach x12 then the px3s. And although I’m still in love with turtle beach, especially since they aren’t brand specific. Beats has become my #1 favorite headphones period. all I own is apple products. So the versatility isn’t a problem. I love how they charge 3hrs for every 5mins too. Love them! The sound is unparalleled. It’s like your favorite cup of coffee on a calm morning or like the first time you used turtle beach on a Xbox after using cheap 20$ junk ones from the super center. I obviously highly recommend them. They’re worth the money, especially if you love to listen to music all the time on your iPod or iPhone or love watching movies on your Mac or iPad. ****

    Better be careful!

Not going to lie these are great headphones but you may want to be gentle with them. I have had mine for only 5 months and just from stretching them to get over my head they have snapped on both sides just above where you can fold them. they are very great headphones no doubt but it shouldn't snap because i was putting them on my head and just to clarify i wasn't stretching them excessively far just enough so i could wear them.

    Coming apart at the seams

Hello. I really do hope this gets across to someone at the beats by Dre offices. I bought a pair of solo3’s last quarter of 2017 and fast forward to June 2018(with minimal use), the head phones have come apart at the seams. The leather has come off revealing foam stuffing underneath I am honestly quite disappointed and sad. Kindly assist as this isn’t the standard I am used to with apple products. Quite disconcerting!!

    Good But Breaks

I love music and beats have an amazing sound system and great comfort, although after a year when the warranty ends, the side of the beats seem to break and need to get a new pair. I've gotten two beats, Solo2 and Solo3.

    stopped charging

loved the head phones still do but I don't love that Ive only had them about 6 months and they look like they are charging and I have left it on there a few times now for good while for it to have well enough time to charge but the cut on and die within 10 mins every single time. Ive watched countless videos on how it could get fixed per the owner at home which is me and nothing has worked. Ive even used the support here to update and still they just cut off after ten mins and flashes red like its not charged and yes Ive tried different cables to charge it well after the ones that came with stopped charging.

    Not Durable

I bought these headphones and used them about 10 times (I only use them when I fly). Performance wise, they are excellent, but the cloth ripped away from the ear piece so you can see the foam behind it. Not covered under warranty, so I'll use them a few more times until they are completely ruined and then will toss them. Fortunately I bought a pair of much-cheaper headphones before I "upgraded" to the Beats and they sound good and are wearing well. Huge disappointment.
