Functional, would like more color options

The smart cover is a functional cover for the glass screen on my new iPad Pro. The cover is thin and doesn't add too much weight to the device. Additionally, it allows for two different ways to prop up my iPad. I appreciate that Apple has included a soft inside to the cover, as I never worry that my screen will get scratched. My only suggestion is that Apple develop more colors for the smart covers, as they did for the iPad Pro 10.5. After paying nearly $1000 for my device, I'd like more choices than dull gray and white (which would get easily dirty) for my cover.

Hinge pulls apart within a year

I don't know why I even bother writing a review, Apple won't listen to anything unless it comes from the masses. My iPad 2's smart cover is in amazing condition, a few scratches, but it's still holding together. These new ones with glued hinges are GARBAGE !!!!! I know Apple's only focus is making money, but what about making a quality product worth the cost ? PLEASE bring back the sewn hinges or redesign this type of hinge. I purchased a $1,200 tablet with a $80 cover with a 2¢ hinge, come of Apple stop selling sh#t accessories to just slap your logo on it.h

    Almost perfect

Beautiful, durable and protective, strong enough to support any effort, no matter the quantity or quality of it.
The only thing I’d point to enhance is that, when folding, the inner surface —the one that later faces the screen when closed—rests on a table or other support, catcches dust or dirt and translates it to the iPad.

It does what it's supposed to.

I bought this cover as a "open box" product at BestBuy so I didn't pay retail. But after a few weeks I am really liking it. It's simple and does the trick. I mainly wanted something small to protect the screen when I am transporting the iPad Pro in my back pack. I was doubtful it would be strong enough to hold it upright for viewing or whatever else. But so far it works. I used a big clunky UAG case for my old iPad Air. Great item but added so much bulk I might as well been carrying a 2005 era laptop, lol. However as with all Apple Products this is way over priced for what it is. Dinked them a star for the $ even though I didn't pay retail.

    Poor Qualityi

I have had this cover for less than a year. About 3 months ago, the right upper corner edge started to pull away until it ultimately had to be peeled away and cut. Now, about a month ago, the same thing started to happen to the left upper edge. It hasn’t been cut yet but with everyday use, the rip/tear gets a little bit worse and will have to be cut eventually.

Great if you use it right

At first I agreed with the other reviewer that the cover collapses way too easily. But if you fold it with the fuzzy side out it is plenty strong in both orientations. Now I think it’s great.

Awesome Cover for FRONT of iPad Pro 12.9-inch

This cover is great protection for the screen! It's easy to use and is great for standing up the iPad as a screen to watch shows!

    Awful

It’s the worst item i’ve been bought to Apple. The magneto is too week and not able to support the weight of the IPad, then with the mínimum movement or vibration the IPad fall down over the Smart Cover, it is impossible to work with, I highly recommend a lot try a third party cover.
