    Nearly perfect case

Glad to have this case as it’s allowed me to eliminate the need to carry a wallet on me. The fit and finish are sturdy/handsome and the build quality is excellent. Some have have complained of microphone issues and the case depleting their battery life due to the cover waking the screen. I Have not experienced these issues. I also pushed the cover on the screen as far up and down as possible to see if the screen would wake... screen stays asleep. Also silly, some state that the cover gets in the way of the camera... not really... unless you want to be overdramatize with criticism. The spine of the cover is flexible, just push the cover out of the way and hold it in place when pushed around to the back of the phone to take some photos, or just let it hang. I believe believe the wake and microphone issues/concerns were corrected. I’m looking forward to the patina and wear that will build over time on the folio case. Cosmos blue is a really nice/retro looking color. I can carry two credit cards, two IDs and some cash comfortably with the cover still setting flush and not looking distorted. I wouldn’t really hesitate to recommend this case to family or friends.

    Works great for all-in-one case!

For those who tend to misplace things, this case is great. I tried Twelve South (two cases came unglued) and had to be returned. FYI don’t try to return at Apple store. They sent me to manufacturer, who says they only replace those purchased from them. Finally got it straightened out, but what a pain! Also tried Decoded, which I liked, but it wouldn’t fit everything I need for all-in-one (e.g., phone, ID, emergency cash 1-2 bills, and 2 credit cards.). Not only did everything fit in this case, but also holds office key fob, which is a major plus. Also puts phone to sleep when closed. While yes, it is a little thicker when jam-packed with my must-haves, I no longer leave a trail of my belongings in car, conference rooms, etc. Highly recommended for scatter brains like me.

    Great iPhone Case

I will first try and address some of the negative points people have made about the case. 1. The leather quality is magnificent. It’s soft, supple and feels like it would be very durable. 2. Phone calls are fine. If you hold up to your ear you have to have the flap open, obviously. The microphone is not covered by this case, so speaker phone works fine. I can’t figure out why people are having an issue with that. 3. The card slots. It’s leather and will stretch, there’s nothing you can do about that, especially if you store more than two cards per slot. If you take your cards out of the wallet you have now and only put one back in, I bet that card would be very loose.

The case offers great protection. I’ve dropped the phone from waist height onto tile floor and have had no issues. I also love the idea that this is now my wallet. I have “find my iPhone” functionality for my wallet. That’s a huge insurance policy for my wallet now.

All in all, it’s a very nice case, expensive but nice. However, $50 for a phone case and $50 for a wallet is not that ridiculous. I highly recommend this product.

    Practical Case

Worth the extra cost for the quality. Soft leather and slimmer than most leather cases I compared. Also, the automatic lock/unlock when you open/close the cover is a great feature. I am so in love with my cosmos blue :)

The best wallet case out there!

I have always been skeptical of wallet case. If I lose this then I lose EVERYTHING! I took a chance on this because I've always liked the idea. It's just about perfect! I love the color! I had the black but returned it because it got boring to look at. It fits everything I need! I don't like bulk so understanding this is a wallet case and will have some bulk they really minimized it. I would not put anymore than 3 cards in the front pocket, other than that it expands and becomes loose. I keep my license and my insurance card in the other one. Maybe some cash occasionally. The only thing I wish it had was a stand. Then it would be perfect! I've had no problem with the sound quality of phone wit the case on. I use AirPods anyways. I love how flexible the front flap is! It makes it really easy to hold when using the phone normally and also makes it easy to access things like camera and flashlight. I don’t know why other people complain about lack of access to the camera. What do you expect from a case that has a front flap? Anyway it has replaced my wallet and I would recommend it to people looking to simplify their life!

    Best iPhone case made

It’s true. This is a magnificent case that you will not regret buying. I’ve hated every case I have ever had, which ends in me usually throwing it into a drawer. Not so with this one. Buy it. Use it. Love it. Forget the haters.

Microphone does not work with this case

I love the way it looks and it protects the phone but DO NOT BUY. You will have to remove your phone every time you want to actually use it as a phone. Its ridiculous that Apple released this product with this defect especially since they are charging 100$ for a phone case. Incredibly disappointing product.

I did not expected this... at all... :(

Why searching for a solid manufacturer which builds a great case for the iPhone X, when I can get the case directly from Apple? A good idea I thought... If Apple sells the phone, than the case from Apple must be a perfect fit. I must realize: Bad thinking.

Well... it fits perfectly (physically). But when I get feedback from nearly everybody on a call, that my microphone sounds like something broken I must admit: That's pretty brave Apple. Selling an phone case for 109€ and covering the microphone... even if it's your own phone you are building this case for.

I don't know what I should think about this. :(

    Not good for wallet

So disappointed, never use this as a wallet. The pockets are so loose that is the second time I loosing something from it, thankfully the first time my credit card and my driver license fell off at home, but today my train tickets are gone.
I should of learn my lesson the very first time. A $14 case would do a better job than this case.
    Do not buy it.

Flimsy with no way to stay shut.

Apple... for a company with God's money, you can afford to put a magnet in your premium leather case. This was not an oversight. There are hundreds of better alternatives at half the cost.

    Beautiful not functional.

This case is well made and attractive however, it muffles the sound. I’m constantly having people say they can barely hear me, even on speaker.

    Just OK!

I've been using this case since the iPhone X released, and I was pretty happy with it at first. Then I realized the many flaws that exist within this design. First off, cards have a tendency to slide around in this case and they come dangerously close to falling out quite frequently. Certainly, a concerning issue when the whole point of the case is to hold cards. Additionally, once you stretch this case out (by storing a few dollar bills in it), the size of the pockets are stretched FOREVER. It's not something I would spend 100$ on again, but I'm not normally a person who puts a case on their phone. I was just hoping to replace my wallet entirely.

Case Distorts & Muffles Phone Calls

Bought this case the day before I got my X from an Apple Store. Ever since I switched to X (and subsequently used this case) those I've been on phone with have complained that it's near impossible to hear me, that I sound muffled and distorted. I take case off = no problem. Speakerphone with or without case = no problem. Reached out to Apple Support and they confirmed this is a known issue. $100 mistake is now retired.

It was a waste of 100 dollars

Aesthetics are really good but absolutely not functional:
    - you can't make calls with the folio closed, as soon as you close it the call drops
    - the folio seems to cover the mic, when you speak with the case on your voice is very bad on the other side people can barely hear you. I offered it to my wife to go with her brand new iPhone X, no one was hearing her when she makes calls. She ended up leaving it in a drawer. A real waste of money.

    Perfect in every way!!

I bought the black folio and couldn't be more happy. The leather is soft and beautiful. The case holds all the cards I need with the advent of Apple Pay and I like the fact It wakes up my phone when I open the cover. I had Book Books for years, but this has them beat in quality and function. Love it!

    Less Than Functional

Looks nice. Feels nice in hand. Love that cards don’t touch the screen. I carry 2 ID cards and 1 credit card. It held them snug for one month. After just one month, it has loosened up and if I take one card out, the others fall out. It’s no longer usable as a wallet.

Waiting for a wallet that allows use of camera when case is folded open.

Love the feel and smell of the leather, and nice to have an apple product, but sure wish somebody would come up with a wallet case that doesn’t block the camera when it is folded open. Frustrating that one can spend that much and have several functions blocked by the case, including camera lens and stereo.

    Works for me

There are few companies I loathe more than Apple (not the forum for that story) so giving any of their products a 5-star rating is painful. I ended up buying this one because the one I wanted on Amazon had taken over a week for them to not ship (no express ship option). It was the only one I could find in town.

This is the best folio I have ever had and I have been using them for my last 4 phones. It is simple. Other than waking the phone when opening and putting it to sleep when shutting it there are no bells and whistles. The pockets for cards and cash hold cards well. And, they hold five cards easily. The leather is thin and keeps the phone feeling relatively small.

Some have complained about the lack of latch to hold the folio closed. Personally, I don't like them. The one folio I had with a latch I ended up cutting off. They just end up sticking out and getting in the way for me. This one stays closed well without one. I imagine if you stuff the pockets full of cash, cards receipts and so forth it would not but then again I doubt you could latch it even if there were one.

Others have complained about muffled voices when talking on the phone with the case folded back on itself. All I can say is I have had no complaints and tried it in the store before buying. I even had my wife call me on my phone while listening on hers. Seems to be no problem for me so far.

I am not much of fashion guy so I can't speak to looks. I like simple, functional and durable from ethical companies. The first two have been checked off. We'll see about durable but so far I have never had an issue with durability and Apple products. I doubt it will be a problem.
